I think some of the games could have been made real. By "real" I mean actually playable using your character in game.

I wish my first nights resulted in that. I am able to make a nice base but never one with a pigpen.

I am sorry, but I just don't see enough reason to purchase this. Maybe I am missing something here, but it seems like an adventure map that costs $22.49(will be $24.99) on steam. Yes, it looks like an insanely high end adventure map, but that does not mean I want to spend $22.49.
If there is more to this and I am missing it, which I hope I am, then please let me in on it. I just see little to no reason to buy this when I have Minecraft all ready.

Feb 22, 2015LordBlackwolf13 posted a message on Notch Responds to "Sellout" CriticismIf he did release a game, he would most likely use another username. This way it would not be compared to Minecraft and would be liked, or disliked, for what it is. Then once the game was a success, I would consider letting everyone in on who I really am. This is what I would do if I were Notch. Heck, he may have already done it, we just don't know yet.Posted in: News

While I do not recommend laptops for gaming as a rule of thumb, I believe you should be just fine with that laptop for what you want. It has a decent amount of ram, and uses a decent i7 processor. Should be fine with 32x textures (faithful).

Minecraft is on the list, but it really will depend on what you want out of it. If you are going to use high-end resource packs, shaders, and mods, I would rethink this a bit.

WorldEdit may lag the server for a moment, depending on how much ram you have allocated to the server. This can be mitigated by removing small chunks at a time, or allocating more ram. I don't think It will make a huge difference in the already present lag.
I will give you another option for removing those islands. There is a program call MCEdit. It opens a Minecraft world and allows you to edit blocks. I did not mention it to you earlier as it is more difficult to use. If you would prefer to send me the world save, then I could remove the islands for you.

Well, the best thing that comes to mind off the top of my head is to fly up there and remove the islands. There are a couple of ways to do this, by hand, explosives, or WorldEdit. I would recommend the last one. Will be quick and clean.

If you have any questions on how to use this site or what are good specs, feel free to PM me for help. I can also give you links to some videos that show how to put everything together if you need them.

Mojang would have to because of copyright reasons. Actually let me re-phrase that "have" to a "would". Even if you gave them permission to use it, they would not just to be on the safe side. Besides, you gave them the idea, least they can do is code and texture it right

I think the adfly thing happens to everyone when they first use it. If I were to ever use their service, I would make it clear to those downloading which button you click. So is it safe, so long as you know what you are doing. I put blame on SOME of the mod authors. They should make it more clear for new users. Personal responsibility is what it comes down to in the end on that one.

I can agree in part to this. You called out the "Most Wanted" list, which is good. The problem is that their are many out their besides what you listed. I think it is good that you posted this as it may help keep people safe. I mostly wanted to make sure that MCF was marked a safe site, as it is an excellent tool for checking what mods are up to date, and where to find the safe download for it. Good job on this.

EDIT: I also have assumed you are hosting and playing on same maching

You named all the "good places" I could think of except http://modlist.mcf.li/ which is supported by the Minecraft Forum, if I am not mistaken.
