You realize linking your adf.ly link to a sharecash link, no one is going to download your program.. Just make an adf.ly link to rapidshare or something. Honestly.
Open up your "Device manager" under control panel. Then find Network adapters and click the down arrow to display them.

If any of those have a (X) or a Warning sign next to it, there is either Driver errors or missing drivers which may be causing the problem. Just get that ruled off as a problem.
80/100? Are you sure you got the right power supply though? I'm pretty sure you would need more than a 300W Power supply. Although i'm no computer expert so yea.. :happy.gif:
Wow this looks really good, and if something I hope to get into one day. I am currently learning Java using 2D Graphics. Would you be able to link me to any resources you used to learn off of?
Hello there! Before I begin, I must warn you I am new to Java. I've been using it now for two weeks, and truly my only experiences with coding before consisted of a small yet ample grounding in Actionscript 3.0. Most of my learning with java has been simple trial and error, tweaking values to see what happens, and learning what does what (Before two weeks ago I had never heard of a 'float' or 'double', I've spent quite some time looking up what various terms mean, although the majority of them I understood what they were).
My first question, being new to modding Minecraft, is this: Is it alright for me to create a mod by entirely 'borrowing' code from various vanilla Minecraft classes and moving those snippets around to where I need them?
I am curious as to what the answer for this is, as my mob that I've created was made entirely this way. In fact, the main beef of it is simply a previous mob that has been modified in such a way that it suits my needs.
My second question relates to the above, and depends entirely on the answer to it. If it is alright, is it alright to upload the changed classes (Once recompiled and reobfuscated) for others to use?
The reason behind needing to know this is to know whether it is okay for me to actually 'release' my mod once completed.
Before I answer your questions I'm going to say this. It's better to learn the basics of java before jumping into modding. It is also probably not a good idea to learn java directly from Minecraft. By the basics of Java i mean things such as data types, loops, conditional statements, how methods works, how specific declarations work e.g. (public, private).
1. Nothing is stopping you from doing it, as long as the mod itself is not a complete rip from another mod then it should be fine. It is better to know how to code things yourself though.
2. Yes it is alright, otherwise if it wasn't there would be no mods at all :happy.gif: but, only upload the classes needed for your mod e.g. (don't upload the entire minecraft.jar). If you only upload your edited class files you will be fine.
playername being the textbox name. Inside the web browser's onDocumentLoad function you could check if the document contains the text "Not found" if it does, then the user doesn't exist. If it doesn't contain that, the user does exist.
Hello Minecraft Fans, and modders from across the computers.
Ive got afew ideas for mods. Please post your ideas to.
My first idea is for more common animals, like lions in tree infested areas, or deserts.
Second Idea: Make Armour that looks like a suit.
3rd idea: Make cars bigger boats, planes and more. Ive seen the air balloon mod BTW.
I might post more ideas, but remember this topic might be crap because its my first. please don't reply negatively or ill be :dry.gif:
I do like the idea of more biome related animals. However I don't like the idea of cars, planes and bigger boats. To me Minecraft is a primitive survival game therefore it's tools and transport should not sway from that. Also I wouldn't say "don't reply negatively" because there are going to be people who disagree with your ideas, and will voice their opinion.

One way of doing it would be to have a web browser navigate to the url on button press
playername being the textbox name. Inside the web browser's onDocumentLoad function you could check if the document contains the text "Not found" if it does, then the user doesn't exist. If it doesn't contain that, the user does exist.
For example:
http://www.minecraft.net/skins/duncanrp144141344134.png - this is an example of an image that doesn't exist (username hasn't been taken)
http://www.minecraft.net/skins/duncanrp14.png - this is an example of a image that does exist (username has been taken)
The only bad thing about this is that Minecraft usernames for the images are case sensitive so you have to get the name exactlly correct.
Hope this helps.
