    Hi guys,


    It's been quite a while since I've posted on here, probably two months. A lot of stuff has been going on and I haven't been able to keep up with the mod very well. I've almost finished porting to 1.8, just working on some things that didn't make it over easily, and re-adding things I had to remove. We were thinking of changing up the way Shikai is decided, and wanted to ask for your input. One idea we were thinking of maintains randomness while also letting players who want to choose their type somewhat. It would go something like this:


    When you name your sword, it will check through what you've named it. There will be certain keywords in the names that gives the computer a hint of what you want. For example, if you named your sword "Flaming Keyboard", it will realize you want a fire sword and make your type fire. However, if you name it "Jigglykrampus", it will simply assign a random sword to that name. When it randomizes, it will use the name of the sword as a seed for RNG, which means "Jigglykrampus" will be the same sword no matter which game you use it in.


    Pros:
    +Can still be random

    +Adds element of choice

    +Much easier to add new Shikai types

    +No more farming for specific hollows

    +Easier for us to add hollows

    +Same sword from same name


    Cons:
    -Possible lack of diversity in sword names

    -Might want a different type for a sword name

    -Less freedom with names


    Let us know what you think about this, and we'll try to add it in as speedily as possible! As joe mentioned a few posts back, we're working on re-evaluating what we're capable of, and hopefully gaining new members for a team.

    In other news, just under 1000 errors left to fix in the mod :P

    Well the plan is for Shinigami to get Bankai in the future, which would probably give them an advantage :P But yeah, I'll need to see if I can come up with ways to combat swarms of mobs.

    Hey guys,


    I've been working on getting an update for this with the limited time I have. I'm down to only 1800 errors to fix! :P So yeah, it might still be quite a while, pretty much everything changed with 1.8.


    However! One thing I'd like to start working on is balancing the Quincy faction, as there isn't really a "leveled up" version of them. Shinigami have shikai, and the even the super buggy Hollows can evolve :P I'm thinking of implementing it in a tree style, such as in Fire Emblem:


    So here's the question:

    What sort of abilities do you want Quincies to gain?


    Obviously as you level up, strength and agility will increase, but I figured I'd get some community input on this :P

    2. There's a lot of work that goes into bankai. Minecraft code keeps changing. I'm a college student with a full schedule. I've got other projects to work on. I'm the only coder for this entire project which gets a little overwhelming. There's plenty of reasons that might sound like excuses, but that's that.

    Life happened :P I don't have much time to work on this, plenty of reasons. I'd love to get some actual progress on this mod, but I never have free time anymore :/

    Nope, not sure when I'll be able to work on the mod consistently. As I'm the only one working on it, when I'm swamped with other work, nothing gets done. If I had a team of coders, we could work on different parts at the same time, pick up each other's slack when the other is busy, get updates out much faster. But I don't T_T

    Well we're still deciding what would work best before we even try to implement it. There's kind of two ideas floating around at the moment.
    One would be skills that you can choose which ones to upgrade, to a certain max, i.e. speed, knockback, jump height etc. with a max on each such as 5 block jump before you can't upgrade it any further.
    The second idea is more of a tree, or a path where if you upgrade one section, you'd have to forego another. So from the basic, you can choose a speed or strength path, then from whichever you choose more options would open up.

    This would be for both shinigami and quincies, to make them more even. So I guess I'm looking for community input here, not really a poll but checking to see which ones seem more popular. Of course, both of them would take a lot of work, but we'll see how much I can get done :P

    I have been working on another mod, but the main reason is just school. Haven't really been putting time into either mod recently, but I should be having more free time soon :)

    OKAY!

    So I finally finished up my finals at college. I haven't really been working on anything modding related in a long time, because this was a really important quarter, as I was in the middle of switching majors. For some reason, I put school ahead of modding ;)

    So hopefully now I'll have some more time to work on this, at least more than before. I've started porting to 1.8, but again a lot has changed, so that might take a while. Here's what's up on the to do list:

    1. Update to 1.8

    2. Make a more stable release, possibly make Hollow Faction work for multiplayer. But as of now, not sure how well that will work.

    3. Balance skills, add skill tree to shinigami and quincy.


    After that, I'll just be trying to add content when I can. Another thing that's been kind of weird is that some of the older versions of the mod were taken down for copyright infringement, despite the fact I'm not taking any credit for Bleach, and I'm not making money off of this >.<


    So again, sorry for the long hiatus, I'll attempt to keep this running and balance with school.

    So did you noticed the break and did you found the fix ?

    Yeah, apparently the problem is with redstone itself.... Somehow the block isn't picking up the signal if it changes too fast. Try slowing down your redstone loop and see if that works. I've been testing it and it seems to work fine.

    I'll see what's going on with the air compressor, and see if I can get a list of recipes up soon. As for the fishing mechanic, we were actually thinking of something very similar to that. However, it's kind of hard to work around the vanilla fishing rod, as it has mechanics of its own hardwired in, and making a custom fishing rod is a lot harder than it seems :P But, we're working on it :)

    Sounds like you should try a little harder :P The hollow faction is only in the Test Update, as it isn't fully completed yet. You need all the requirements fulfilled for shikai (named sword, 400 points, 200 spiritual energy) and push X. Flash step, you need a full set of armor of whatever type you are, ex. Full shinigami robes. I'm assuming hollow gui means part of the hollow faction, which is in the test one only.

    The Bleach Mod is finally 1.7.10 compatible! Not much has changed, just the Faction Selector has been added back in, and a few bugs were fixed. We still have two versions, the official release and the test release containing the Hollow faction.

    Actually, the air compressor works like a pump :P Meaning you need fluctuations in power to get it to work. So, you can pump by hand, flipping a lever on and off next to it, or you can set up a loop to pump it for you! :D

    We noticed the air compressor is a bit weird in multiplayer, but it still works :P Thanks for the data, I'll look into what's causing the error
