Is there any way to trick the game into displaying pumpkinblur on your screen? You may be asking why I would want this, and here is why.Also, I already looked for a mod, and no modders showed any interest to make one. :/
Some of the people on this thread do not understand...
First off, Minecraft does not have infinite. However, the worlds will generate so far that you will NEVER find the end legitimately.
Secondly, people preaching the power of the Xbox 360 don't know what they are talking about. The reason that modern games run on consoles, are because they must be optimized SPECIFICALLY for the console. If the same effort towards optimization on the console was applied to current PCs, the graphics of games would be far better than they currently are. Also, developers, working with the 7 year old hardware, are very good at optimizing for the consoles. You can take a look back at early console games, like Oblivion, and take a peak into the future, at Battlefield and Crysis.
This idea came from the discovery of a stadiametric rangefinder for the bow. It allows you to measure long-distance targets and shows you how to aim in order to hit the target. You can find this here.
Now, the problem with it is you require a pumpkin on your head to see it. This is the only (?) way for it to work without mods. However, I thought maybe someone with modding experience would be able to whip up a mod in order to toggle the onscreen image, or pumpkinblur.png.
If someone was so kind as to make this wonderful mod, my idea goes something like this: a changeable (through the controls menu) button would be pressed, toggling the current state of the image (whether that be onscreen, or offscreen). I imagine it would be simple, although I am not knowledgeable in Java.
If this would not take someone a great amount of time, I request that someone would try and make my idea a functional minecraft mod. Thank you.

This is an amazing tool for aiming! I built a map, testing shooting distances by 10s from 10 to 100, and with a little bit of practice, I hit my target every time. Thank you so much, for the incredibly useful tool!
Screenshot/world save/text file/anything that shows you know programming: This is one of my first c++ programs.
#include <iostream>
using namespace std;
int main ()
{
int a, b, c;
cout << "Hello! You will input 2 integers to be added together.\nPlease enter an integer.\n";
cin >> a;
cout << "Great! Now enter a second integer.\n";
cin >> b;
c = a + b;
cout << "The redult of " << a << " plus " << b << " is " << c << "\n\n";
system("PAUSE");
return 0;

Depends on the competition. Or, if in your SMP map there are no pumpkins, it would help.

And, that is the end of my rant.

Although, I prefer to design my own buildings, I believe it is an interesting house.

This seed I found, I thought was quite interesting. If I were a newbie to MC, this would be a great world to start on.

Minecraft's water is AWESUM.
It's alot of fun scaling the side of a mountain with a bucket of water, or dumping lava on top of somebody's head from their roof.
Trust me, changing the physics would be a big blow to somebody like me.
I depend on water. My piston-water setup is how I get up my mountain home.
My wheat farm depends on ridiculous water flow distances.
Point is...
Endermen are very creepy. That is all.
