Why don't you just use the ingame screenshot function for these pictures (push f2!)? I don't really like staring at small images within someone's desktop -- the other visual elements can be distracting and annoying.
But it is a nice mansion, heh. I personally don't like doing big stuff legit -- I honestly just don't have the time for it and I could be doing better things, but it's still impressive when someone shows of their 100% legit giant build.
It's not 100% legit though. Needed to spawn the Mossy Brick, because I gave up trying to find a Stronghold after an hour.
What I like about that compared to others' mansions is that not only does it not exist on flat land but it follows the curves of the mountain. Even when it's hundreds of feet above it. A bad point would be that it's unevenly lit at night, some of the lights are at the front and others are in caves, I personally don't like how this looks.
4/5 A really good build, my favorite so far.
I usually put lighting around windows and prominent external features. But due to me using double thick walls I couldn't put many windows in without it looking bad, so I was unable to get lighting into those cramped areas.
On another note, was kind of hoping others would post their own creations. :sad.gif:
Here's a daytime shot. I personally think it looks better at night. Also, not sure if you know this, but you can click on an image to get a zoomed in view.
As the title states, post your needlessly large living quarters. Peasants in hovels need not reply.
My home, Gloomwood Manor.
Before anyone accuses me, yes, I used Creative Mode, but only to get Mossy Stonebrick, everything else was meticulously farmed (I don't want to see another Vine again in my life). I built it slowly over the course of a week, didn't really go into it with anything in mind, except that I wanted it to follow the contours of the mountain it was built on.
Alright, I'll try and go back through some posts to find out how to do it with ATI. I can fix it no problem with nVidia.. its just a matter of finding the right setting.
Eh, it's no big deal, majority of the map pack I use has dark textures so the lines are barely noticeable. It just pisses me off when I look at sand or any light colored texture.

Thank you. Got anything to contribute?

Because I personally feel it makes the picture look bad. But here.

Can't you tell? It's a giant penis, which also functions as my place of residence.

That did the trick. Are you a wizard?
