The greatest thing I see about the new snapshot is the multiple sized nether portals. You can make anything from normal sized to 23x23, which will be epic to walk up and see a giant nether portal. Also it shows the possibility of ghasts coming through and causing chaos. I can already see Sean making a giant portal and making a huge pile of ghast spawners on the nether side of it so that ghasts will "randomly appear" in the regular world with us.

posted a message on Minecraft Giveaway, by Gamepedia!
I hate to look a gift horse in the mouth, but why aren't there any t-shirts in the grand prize? I mean I'll be happy if I were to win anything, but to me it doesn't make any sense to not put the most useful of prizes in the grand prize. If I were to win the grand prize I'd be extremely happy, but honestly I'd probably get more use out of a t-shirt than I would any of the grand prize stuff.

posted a message on Minecraft Mondays - Packing Up the Mobs!
I love what they are doing with minecraft, but the main things I think they should focus on is the complaints (lighting and frames/lag, I know they've made it a little better, but still could be better) and then add more things from mods in the game. (Like they did with the Mo creatures adding the horse.) Building on that, Some things I would like to see is more Mo Creatures animals, some more weapons and explosives, maybe another realm like the Twilight forest with a few bosses and a new ore for weapons and armor, the TF2 teleporter (I like the dispenser too, but that seems a little too much.). ability to color glass, wood, brick, and other things. After that they could make it where you could adjust the spawn rate or remove some animals or weapons (if they were to add a lot of animals and weapons and some people didn't want them.) I know this is just hopes and Mojang has their own plan, but anyway, 1.7 looks good regardless.

posted a message on 13w36a Snapshot Ready for Testing!
My friend Sean and myself tried this out and loved all the new features. The new biomes were like we were playing with a mod.... We were going to explore and try all the new things but we just ended up goofing off, blowing things up, and killing each other, like normal. Anyway, I honestly can't wait to see what else gets put in.

posted a message on Minecraft Hits 9 Million Sales, Pocket Edition Updates Coming
Doing a little quick math, assuming in every sale Notch got 20 American dollars (Using 20 instead of the current price to give a more accurate number since the game was considerably cheaper in Alpha and Beta before it was fully released.) 9,000,000 times 20 = 180,000,000. Which is 180 MILLION dollars. Even if you cut that number in half for all his expenses, taxes, and margin of error assuming that a $20 average per sell made the total a little high, then Notch is still walking around with 90 million dollars and is still one DANG rich man. Plus that's not even counting the sales of the pocket edition or xbox edition.

All I can say is I have a lot of respect for Notch turning an idea for a game as simple as mining and crafting into a success. Then all the respect for the people at Mojang who took Minecraft and turned it into the multi-million dollar game that it is today. In my humble opinion, the world is just a little bit better because of Minecraft. Thanks Notch and congratulations on 9 million.

posted a message on Zombie Apocalypse
This looks interesting if any of my friends were interested, but for now I think I will stick with defending my bunch of villagers from the zombie sieges, which is fun until the villagers panic, run outside, get turned into a zombie, and the villagers you are protecting kill you. Lawl. That's minecraft for you. haha.

posted a message on MC Updates - Super Craft Bros., Minecraft MMO and Basketball in Minecraft
Like I've read a few people say, I'd love to play this if any of my friends were interested. Sean got mad and isn't talking to me because evidently I'm a horrible person. *facepalm* and Dalton is.... well he's Dalton and he is unique and would probably be like "what is this, this isn't minecraft this is some weird thing that isn't minecraft and I don't like it." and go away and play xbox. lawl. Well that's how things go, haha.

I kinda like the new minecraft update. This will give custom map makers a new completely automated way to give players items with the Dropper block and the Hopper Minecart. I love just sitting and watching the Mojang team adding random things I would never have thought about and then thinking of the amazing ways that the minecraft users will use the updates. It's endless possibilities in minecraft and adding even more possibilities with each new update. It's amazing.

This would be amazing..... if I could get any of my stupid phooey friends to do it with me, but they are always busy doing something else more important than playing minecraft with me "Joel, I'm playing PS3, Joel I'm playing xbox, Joel I'm studying for school, Joel I don't feel like it, Joel this is my time of the month (they are guys.), Joel you are too fat" etc etc etc. Always some reason or another.

posted a message on Minecraft Mondays - Minecraft in Schools & More
Because of my infinite laziness and the fact that I didn't watch the video, I will just say that I am for minecraft in school no matter the reason. As long as I am playing minecraft I am happy, especially if it takes the place of any actual school work.

posted a message on Anyone ever use the site minecraft-mods to download mods?
On youtube I've seen Nova use the mod, "more Creeps and weirdos" so I decided to look it up. Well the official page and the page on here shows it was last updated for 1.2.5 and not updated since then.

It came to a shock to me that when I googled "more creeps and weirdos" that the fourth result was "More creeps and weirdos for minecraft 1.4.7 / 1.4.6 / 1.4.5"

So I pulled up the site and it doesn't specifically say what version the mod is, but only when you scroll down to the bottom is where it says any version numbers. This and the fact every comment on there are people confused how to download, which download link to click (there are four different ones, three I assume are ads.) and just everything about the site feels wrong, I wanted to learn more about the site.

The first thing to do when you want to learn something is to go to google and try to find out more information on the site, but it has nothing to be found. I couldn't find any reviews good or bad. No one saying they got an excellent mod from there and no one saying they got a virus.

I know the old saying "If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is." So I'm assuming the mod download is the same 1.2.5 that I could get here, just with some misleading information to get people more people to download it.

So has anyone here used minecraft-mods.org to download any mods? If so were they the correct mods and the correct versions? Did they give you any viruses? I see they have over 79,000 likes on facebook, so I would think someone has something positive to say about it. I'll leave the link to the specific creeps and weirdos page I am talking about here too.

    http://minecraft-mod...nd-weirdos-mod/

I thank anyone who has any information on this site or if someone updated the creeps and weirdos mod for the recent minecraft version besides the original creator of more creeps and weirdos mods.

posted a message on Bioshock in Minecraft?
I hate teasers like this. "Oh, hey.... You know this awesome thing we have? Well here is a video of it, here is why it's awesome, we know you want it, but you can't have it yet. SORRY!!!" That really annoys me. If it's something you have to pay for, it's different because that is a sound marketing strategy. For something free it's more just like saying "So you are hungry? Well how about I give you a nice juicy steak dinner with a side of mashed potatoes and peas?.... Oh, you thought I meant now? Nah, I meant sometime in the future."

posted a message on Uploading Your Texturepacks to Bukkit - a How-To Guide
I have never really looked through bukkit for anything else besides server plugins, but I've been interested in finding another texture pack for my minecraft recordings. I'll have to go and check out the bukkit ones. Not only would I be getting a texture package, but I could be helping someone get a free Curse Premium account. It's a win, win.

posted a message on Snapshot 13w01a Available for Testing!
This will be amazing when 1.5 comes out. Right now I am too worried about things bugging out and ruining my saved file to download the developmental version, but I will be one of first in line to try it out when this stuff comes out. I love the idea of nether bricks, daylight sensors that use a new nether quartz, redstone blocks, trapped chests, and what looks like it will be an extremely useful tool, the hopper. I am really excited and on top of that the wiki it says they are planning on adding a couple other things with rails, which look pretty cool too. For the record, my redstone friend Sean is extremely happy and excited. xD
