First question, if I want to make a map for online play, does the size have to be a specific number, like 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512? What if I want to make a map that's in between 128 and 256 length and width wise?
Second question, my current map is X:186 Y:100 Z:180, and it has some glitches (i posted this before)
which I know is because of the size, but when I try to switch to X:256 Y:128 Z:256, the game either gives me a client error game broke java.lang.nullpointerexception or the browser just become unreponsive or crashes. I tried making a new map with all 128 dimensions, and it still gives me the java.lang.nullpointerexception error, but if i play on my normal map, it works. I reinstalled java, and replaced the files in the folder, but it's still not working. I'm using windows vista 32bit operating system.
Also, how do I use isocraft? I understand I have to put a specific com file in the folder, but I don't really know how to do that.
Oh alright, my current map dimensions are X:186 Y:100 Z:180
So i have to change those to what, to stay as close as possible to the current dimensions? Also, when i do change them do i go to Edit>map Size> and enter like + how many more unites to increase each dimension by?
And yeah i made that map, tho I didn't really worry about the dimensions at the time lol.
I made a server a while ago, and it has a few bugs like some parts of it (outside + some edges) are invisible, blocks above a certain height are invisible but you can still build them, grass won't grow, and water won't spread.
I'm trying to make a pretty realistic map, but i don't know how to fix these problems. I did get the new server software today, and replaced the old ones, but it didn't fix it. Can I somehow export that map into a new server or something like that?
