So. When you are fighting someone with better armor, there is NO SUCH THING AS SKILL to back you up. Essentially, in Minecraft, the better gear, the victory. I'm here to help fix that. Have you ever been in a pvp battle on a server, and your opponent has enchanted diamond armor and a diamond sword, and all you have is an iron sword and a pair of leather pants (not to mention that 15-year-old PS/2 connector 75 dpi mouse)? Just because you like combat more than mining means that you have the disadvantage over someone that is exact opposite as you, you WILL lose.
Here's how to fix that:
HP improvements:
First and foremost, we have hit point improvements.
This part is simple. Each half-heart equals 5 hit points.
That means that all hit points combined will be 100 HP.
It's essentially a "Higher-Resolution" HP bar, allowing
better armor usage (currently, Leather Boots by them-
selves, CANNOT protect the user AT ALL!).
Combat Improvements
Secondly, we have combat improvements. When
someone left clicks with a sword, that is called a stab.
When someone presses F on their keyboard(with a sword)
it is called a left side slash. When someone presses
T, It is called a top swing. G is an upward stroke. Y is a
right side slash. These different and seemingly confusing
strokes and slashes are all very simple: One stroke can
parry another (see combat chart). Players with different
skill levels can use different strokes and swing faster. It's
all about the speed of the swing and how to react to it.
If it is fast, then you have to use your reflexes and counter
it before it hits you. This can lead to miners with there
diamond stuff getting slain by knights with stone stuff. To
level up, see leveling up chart. When you start a server
or world, you have to select whether you are right or left
handed. If you are left handed, you can do a left side slash
without leveling up, and you are able to do a left side slash
faster. Right handed is the opposite. It would make sense if
the player would use the hand that is selected. Eventually,
after leveling up 8 times, you become ambidextrous, or at
least for sword handling. At this point you my carry 2 swords
or a sword and something else (i.e. a pickaxe) you WILL NOT
be able to use 2 tools, and when carrying 2 swords, the keys
G and Y are used by the left hand, and the keys F and T are
used by the right. You can use 2 keys at a time when dual
wielding. When carrying a sword and a tool, you are not able
to stab, for the right and left mouse buttons are used by the
non-sword hand. When dual wielding, you will stab with your
original hand sword. To equip 2 swords, there is a sword slot
by the armor slots that appears when you are level 8.

Why not renovate their farms and construct a large green house? Of course, the glass shall not be green. The villagers would surely try to eat it then! I'm sure they would enjoy the space, and a green house would be a place of relaxation. *Light bulb moment.* Hey! Why not build them a simple park with play toys, and see how their young interact with them. It may open up an opportunity to communicate and would show us how they see fun and what social interactions the young ones have with each other. If you conduct an experiment that includes trading with them, please do realize that all of their offers are complete rip-offs as I have experimented in this area myself. Perhaps a chance to replace their lanterns with glowstone, or better yet, a network of redstone lanterns conected to a central daylight detector!

They added squid, and it's not laggy. I suggest being able to place puffer fish and clown fish in water, but they don't spawn naturally.
