That makes no sense. Lava IRL is incredibly dense. If you were to jump on it... you wouldn't sink. You would die from being cooked alive, but you would still be on TOP of the lava. Admittedly in minecraft you would sink, however if you hold space while in water you can float without moving... Just think of the striders constantly holding space while on lava.
Why is there no lumberjack or woodcarver/wood sculptor profession? With new wood types and the attempt to simplify recipes, I feel like this would be a great opportunity to add them. Their work station could be a buzz saw (similar to the stone cutter but for wood) and could have the function to make wood slabs and stairs, much like the stone cutter. I also feel like trading this villager for wood and emeralds for things like Wooden figurines or very basic furniture would be amazing or even craved wood blocks for building... Especially carved wooden blocks.
Honestly I feel like this would be a good fit for the direction that minecraft is going. It fits with the idea of simplifying recipes and gives something new the for community to build and enjoy.

I would love for pets to be more viable in the game... I mean other than taming 10 wolves and having them fight for you.
