Now that 1.3 is out, I'm planning on updating the texture pack, so keep an eye out!
Planned things to Change:
-Make Dirt and Clay look less similar
-Add Textures for new blocks/items (Any Suggestions on Emerald Blocks?)
-Redo the Ore textures
-Re-skin Villagers, Snow Golems and Iron Golems
-Make the Armor Items look like the actual armor when worn.
-Re-skin Potions
-Make Bricks look less like Stone bricks
-(Maybe) Make Netherbrick look like metal.
-Add textures for Potion Effects
-Later rename the items to fit their textures (i.e. Change Arrows to Ammo)
And I think that's it. If you have anymore ideas, just reply.
Did you fix the swamp colors with water? For some reason water and grass changes to purple we cant figure out the problem. Also thank you im going to review this and if everything is good you'll be credited and you can join the team if you wish for updating this, maybe if you'd like to take up head texture packer you can.

Honestly, I'd rather not.
They are talented modders, but their Aether is FAR different from the envisioned Aether.
And I wouldn't want the same thing to happen to the New Nether.
Granted such a change would be vastly easier than the Aether since they aren't creating a full fledged terrain generator, but unless they "stuck to the script" I wouldn't want them to work on it.
Gee... something that acts as an opposite to flint and steel. hrmm.. whatEVER could THAT be? Lets see, flint and steel creates fire when you right click on a block. I guess we need something gets RID of fire when you right click on a block. Oh golly gee, I think I've figured out what does that already; A BUCKET OF WATER!
No. What is wrong with people's creativity that the closest thing to an idea they can come up with is "Aether is opposite of Nether, so all blocks should be opposite of all other blocks!"
Gee, Netherrack is red, so blocks in the Aether should be GREEN! and since light travels further in the Nether, Light should actually travel shorter in the Aether, and since you can breathe in the Nether, you should constantly suffocate while in the Aether, and since gravity points down in the Nether, gravity should point up in hte Aether!
First of all, when it comes to minecraft, water and fire aren't quite opposite. Lava's more opposite really, but since there isn't really a true fire counterpart, you're right on that one.
Secondly, on the blocks, my suggestion is actually reasonable. The difference between those analyses is that they are completely ridiculous. Honestly, it's not that terrible of an idea, and it works. My logic is that you need to encourage people to go to both realms, both with equally valuable resources that can be only found there. And what's so wrong galestone and flowvein being crafted? And with the darkgem, it's there because the Aether is too bright. The nether dealt with being too dark by having fire, lava, and glowstone. The Aether has night and caves. Darkgem could help with the brightness, since I don't want my house in the middle of a floating island to be blinding light inside, and a don't want to get rid of the windows. And having a block with the properties of Aetherrock in the nether would make it more dangerous, which is good, considering the fact that there nether is pretty much the safest place you can go as of now. Combine it with the New Nether ideas and then people would die more often.
Also, maybe trolls should be lava golems? They have the same properties, but I think they just make more sence.
Also there should be maybe, Charred Skeletons? They're like skellies, but do more damage, have more health, fire faster, and could be immune to fire and lava.
I love it.
Just a few things...
I'm not a huge fan of mushraves (But that's just me) or freezers
Also glowsand can't work. At all. Due to the recent changes in Glowstone.
Also for netherraze and midas tears, well... no... just no...
And my biggest problem: Are new tools. There shouldn't be new tools. At all.
To activate the Aether portal ,I don't think it makes much sence to activate it, because you don't activate Nether portals by pouring lava into it. So maybe there could be a flint and steel counterpart, something like an Ice Wand? It could produce snow on blocks as opposed to fire, and maybe it could turn water into ice. So the crafting recipe could be a stick in the bottom center, a glowstone dust in the center, redstone on the top middle, right center and the left center. And then the rest of the blocks could be snowballs.
I also think blocks in the Aether should have a Nether Counterpart.
So maybe...
Aetherstone's (It could instead be like netherrack, except instead of infinite fires, it could be snow that can't melt? (Don't worry, I have an idea for another block that'll have the same properties of Aetherrock that were suggested before)) counter would be Netherrack,
Fall Clay's (It's affeced by gravity once redstone, or right clicking is applied) counter would be Tricksterrock ( It would have the same properties as the Aetherrock, but it would spawn in the nether at the edges of very high cliffs. :biggrin.gif: )
Floatsand's (Instead of what was previously suggested, it could fall up, and it would be found on the bottom of Aether islands) counter would be obsidian, I guess...
Quicksoil's counter would be Soul Sand
Darkgem's (Instead of providing light, it could "drain" light from the nearby area) counter would be Glowstone
Brightstone's (It looks like obsidian in negative colors and could be used to make Aether portals) counter could be Blightstone (It would look like a bit like stone with a mixture of brown, green, yellow. It could then be smelted in the brightstone)
Cyrstals counter could be gloomwood.
Sand's could be gravel, and dirt's could be obsidian.
The original Floatstone, Galestone, and Flowvein should be redstone related crafted blocks.
Ores (With textures that match Aetherstone/Netherrack) would be found in VERY small veins in the Aether, but there'd be ALOT of them, and found in VERY large veins, but they'd be few and far between.
Ores in the Nether could be Redstone, Iron, and Coal, and ores in the Aether could be Lapis, gold, and diamond.

I might of missed a few problems and for some reason it won't work when I install it. Is it just me, or something, and does anyone know how to fix it?

We do not mention such things here... :dry.gif:

Not to be mean, but you guys raped the original suggestion thread. Did you even give them credit?

It's a pity. =(

Your thoughts?

it's like how a movie to a really good book turns out nothing like the book.
