posted a message on [Problem] Redstone Piston secret room
    Quote from Peppe

Looks like you powered the block to the side of the top piston?

No bug. You are powering the bottom piston indirectly through a block one above and to the N, S, E, or W. When it is in the wrong state if you place a block next to it does it change state? That basically confirms indirect power dependent on a block update to trigger a change.

To get it to do what you want, you could either have the repeaters go directly into the top piston, this will directly power the piston below as well.

You could have dust go directly into the top piston. This will directly power the piston below.

You could put dust below the block you are powering with the repeaters. Power will go into the block, down to the circle/cross section of dust below-- which will be pointing into the bottom piston, and power it directly.

Let me know if you need some examples.

    OMG, This worked :ohmy.gif:
I cant believe I didnt think of this, Thanks alot! :biggrin.gif:
I did try putting a block behind the upper piston & Some redstone on it thought & It didnt work.
Also tried putting redstone on behind the lower piston & That also didnt work.
Only when attaching it DIRECTLY & STRAIGHT to the upper piston it worked :tongue.gif:

    Thanks alot<3

posted a message on [Problem] Redstone Piston secret room
Hey guys, Im trying to build a secret room using 2 pistons ontop of eachother. It works like this:
    1: Pistons are extended
2: Button (Outside) is pressed ---> Pistons Retract (& Re-Extend) [To enter the room]
3: Button (Inside) is pressed ---> Pistons Retract (& Re-Extend) [To exit the room]
    1: Pistons are extended

I have everything done. Everything works fine but the problem is that when the button is pressed only the upper piston extends again :\

    Here are some pics:

Both buttons are attached to the same block coz while searching how to make 2 buttons do the same thing to the same object I came around
I dont mind putting the button somewere else as long as it works :tongue.gif:

    The problem:

Any way to resolve this? :\

posted a message on Dear Mojang: The swamps are STILL ugly
    /Signed

But I dont think it can be fixed though... Minecraft is a blocky game, Thats the point of it... Theres no way to transition nicely from normal grass & Water to Swamp grass & Water.
It will always look weird & Ugly because of the block-based terrain.

One way to do it is make the edge blocks like a gradient from normal to swamp-ish. Thats the only way I see it fixed.
Other transitions work on Minecraft coz its tottaly different terrain, But swamps are just colored versions, So itll look weird...

posted a message on Record "11" Secret story?
Id love to actually have a "Story" of another Minecraftian or something...
Someone that ventured too far orso (I myself find the Strongholds very creepy) and I love the idea of finding other recordings of someone's adventure (Someone that kinda knows what the hidden thing is & Is trying to find it orso)

These 2 posts had some good ideas:

    Quote from krikit386

What would be great, is if you could find records 1-11 in strongholds. They would tell the adventures of a now dead minecraftian, once known as "The hero", or "herobrine" in his native tongue. 1 would be the beginning, showing his start. They would go on until you reach number 11, which you couldn't finish since it was broken Once you find, and completely listen to, all 11 records, you could combine them to completely repair number 11, finishing it and hearing the end of Herobrine. Once you do, his spirit would appear right in front of you. Your vision would go black, leaving only him, with his pure white eyes staring at you. Then he would disappear. You would wake back up, mysteriously laying in your bed (If you don't have one, then it'll create one at your spawn.) You open your inventory, to find a mysterious item in it. The mysterious item could be an OP pick, or something similar to that.

    Quote from purplemuffizzle

Things like this basically remind me of what I view minecraft as anyway(and why I enjoy endermen)

I picture minecraft as a...violent world. Minecraft doesn't want this new visitor, Steve, who shows no respect for the world, changing the landscape, killing animals, building more than a home out of necessity, but a castle out of pride. Challenging the land, and acting as if he ruled everything, continuing to destroy the beauty of the world, and messing with the balance of things.

I picture minecraft as ever changing. For instance--the different seeds. I picture all of the seeds as one world. No, not together in one humongous world, separated by oceans. There is only one world of minecraft, but it changes. We were not the first visitor. The last visitor to the world watched as endermen 'destroyed' the landscape. They took blocks and vanished. What he didn't see was the repositioning of blocks around the world. Creating new islands. Making a forest where a desert once was, making an ocean where a mountain was. These drastic changes are done slowly, constantly. We cannot understand what they are trying to do, that's why the changes look ugly and horrifying. We don't want OUR world to be changed. We feel we own this land. How dare they destroy the land we worked so hard to conquer.

So we fight. We fight using the tools we stole from the land itself. The land creates monsters to kill us at night. The world continues to fall apart around us. Eventually, as we are fighting for years, the world becomes more violent. Natural disasters like earthquakes wreck the land, causing giant ravines to split areas in two. Oceans pour into the cracks in the world. But within the deepest reaches of minecraft, there is danger. A danger the void fog warns of. New beasts, large monsters, that have yet to have been defeated. Maybe previous "steves" have fought them before. Maybe creating a fortress underground to battle and enslave the monsters(prison cells in strongholds)

Now all we find are their ruins, which are still being reconstructed. Lava pours into strongholds, trying to hide that there was once anything there. Hallways stop midway, rooms that have been destroyed--for they told too many secrets. We appeared too early. They weren't ready. Leftover pieces from the old world remain. Strongholds, chests, dungeons, even leftover pieces from old mountains that had not been reconstructed yet.(The weird looking mountains, that look unrealistic)

Maybe we are the same person and this is our personal hell. A new world we feel we can conquer that slowly devours us. We 'die', and are left with a sort of amnesia. Sometimes we awake quickly. Our world is still where we left it, our items are still available for us to pick up. But sometimes when we die, we sleep for years, and all is lost. The world is rebuilt. We awaken, everything we had created is gone, not that we remember it. We look around, in a new world, and we build again. Every time we get closer to the secrets, the world is rewritten. The more we go through this, the more we can see.(updates bringing new aspects to the world) Before, we slept for so long, the endermen were able to completely rewrite the world, and give us a space to let us 'try again'. Think the early days of alpha--when you spawned in a mysterious house. We had a space to live, and we could grow food. Of course we would simply live peacefully with the world. But we didn't. Eventually, they stopped giving us the home to live in. We wake up in the middle of nowhere, with absolutely nothing. Our first day is a struggle to survive, as we have our instinctual fear of night already, despite never having been attacked by monsters before. We know night=danger. We live for years, eventually growing pompous. We build grinders because we have learned how the monsters work. Monsters adapt. So do we. Eventually, the endermen no longer hide themselves, or wait for us to go into a deep sleep to rewrite our world. They cannot simply let this happen. They destroy our grinders right in front of our eyes. They start moving the world early. They know we will die soon, and we will forget everything.

Maybe 11 is a previous Steve, be it an older visitor, or a memory of our previous adventure. Maybe he learned something, he tried to record it. He was stopped. Perhaps Herobrine is the old steve, or a horribly corrupted shell of him. Maybe he is what the world has been trying to hide. Now we wonder, was the world hiding things from us to abuse and torture us, or to protect us from this greater evil? Were we stopped in our tracks because we anger the world with our creations, or because we are drawing too much attention to ourselves, bringing evil closer to us. Clearly we have a connection to dark worlds. We have created a portal to the Nether. We are able to survive in that hellish place. But is it really such a good idea to explore and mock evil, when there are things we don't even understand in this world?

It's spooky! I like doing things like this. Even silly things like just simple updates can be fun to explain as something that was perhaps there all along, but was hidden.. :laugh.gif: Cheesy maybe, but fun.

To be honest, it could be anything, but until we know, it's fun to come up with stories!

Id REALLY enjoy that scary feeling of exploring something that is forbidden so to say, It would be really awesome to find more recordings in strongholds & More "secrets"
Maybe put Herobrine in it but not actually see him... For example randomly having a sign infront of your house written in a random made-up lenguage (That can be actually translated) but never really seeing anything.

I think something like that would be a "Storyline" of sorts, You can decide to keep searching (Like the man in the recording) to find out whats going on or you just keep going with your life...
Ofcourse, When you start a new world you dont know about this "Storyline" youll just play your game & When you find your stronghold youll start seeing the things.
(Ofcourse your 2nd play through would be spoiled but it would still be EXTREMELY awesome that first time)

I see, Then Id like to be a Warrior (I gotta choose Warrior before specializing in Berserker right? Warrior is Berserker's parent-class)

The way the classes are written makes it kinda annoying to choose, It would be nice putting the Parent classes in bold so you know those are the ones you can choose from?

    OOC
    IGN: LiNcKz
Sources: None, Found it browsing the section.
Why do you want to join: Ive been looking for a serious RP server for a long time (Most RP servers are missing the basic RP rules)
Also its clear that theres alot of work put into this (Loved the lore, "The age of struggle" has a few things like "Anyways, Then this happened" that makes it look more like a casual conversation & Less like an ancient dramatic story :tongue.gif:)

    IC
    Name: Jet Xion
IC Age: 25 (Not sure if I can be young while being elf, Since its one of the oldest races)
    Race: Elf.
    Class: Follower.
Background: (Im not good with stories... I love to RP but Im bad at stories but here it is anyways:)
Jet's mind never stopped thinking about the great tales that his father used to tell him, he always wanted to be a part of something as big as those ancient battles.
So he set off to live by himself, Not long after his departure he learns of his family's fate, They were killed by bandits who attacked the small village he came from. Since that day Jet decided that he wouldent just wander around alone, Because leaving his family alone is what lead them to their demise.
Now, Looking for a place to live & Scared of death, Jet tries to not attract much attention & His way of thinking completely changed from when he was little... Even though he was nothing to fear, He just wants to live.

I wonder if someone will post in here saying Im accepted/not accepted or something?
Will I be notified somehow? Coz Coming here every now & Then would be pretty annoying :tongue.gif:

posted a message on Do all new features HAVE to be complicated?
    Quote from Nodle66

Wait what? The enchantment system is far too easy. Pop one item in the table, it gives you some enchantments to apply to said item.Adding bookshelves near the table gives you acces to higher level enchantments. And, you don't even know what enchantment you apply once you do it. Seriously, pop item in table, get random enchantmen, what's so hard about that? Also, brewing is easy as heck. You've got base potions, which you use to brew potions, then you've got ingredients that make the potion stronger or last longer. You can also make grenade potions (Grenade, not splash, because it sounds awesomer) if you like, and that's easy, just add gunpowder. Are you saying that finding the materials to do these simple tasks is hard? Or is the whole procces just too hard for your 3 neurons to handle?

Its annoying due to the fact that youll always want to have the best enhancements orso...
Theres nothing that annoys (Me) more than having a uncontrollable thing that makes someone else better than you.
Basically you always want the bets thing, And its annoying to not have it in s imple way (Youll have to keep enhancing your stuff everytime it breaks & Stuff)

The potions also seem complicated in this way: MORE stuff to learn or know about, Someone with the knowledge of potions will do alot better than you.

This reminds me of enhanced weapons in Oblivion, You always want the bets one... And the enhancements wear off & Youll have to go to town to re-enhance it.
Well, I like to keep it simple & Not use those enhanced weapons, But peeps that DO use them will have an advantage over me, Not fun D:
I liked the simple: "YOU HAZ DIAMONDZ!! YOU BE DA BEST!" & Not the "YOU HAZ DIAMONDS BUUUTTT THAT DUDE BE HAVIN BETTAH ENHANCEMENTZ"

    -
As soon as I read about potions & Enhancements I was like: Oh no... ... This is gonna annoy me :\

    TL;DR
I prefer having a non enhanced thing that needs no maintenance than having to continuely have to enhance a few things (Without being able to control it!)
I dont want 5 different kinds of diamond swords laying around for each task.
    Same with potions...
