Here's a link to my final version:

    Download

It has everything from a patch or two ago; flowers, hard clay, fish, etc. But keep in mind it's very buggy so I wouldn't suggest playing with it. This is mainly for people who want to continue the pack. Good luck!

A-also... does this mean we're free to use that color palette you posted a while back?

That palette was always available for public use.

Well damn, that makes me wish I had more time to texture so that I could help maintain a continuation :( I know I wouldn't be able to do as well of a job as you did in creating the pack but whatever I can manage to contribute I will. I understand how you feel with it feeling like you never complete the art, it's one of those things where you have to imagine it as an ever growing canvas. It's like the roof of the Sistine Chapel, it's a massive project that takes a long time to complete.

    Thank you!

Thank you for your fantastic work on the texture pack, it has always been awesome.

Would you mind creating a public git repository for it, so we all can contribute to it while keeping the contributions clear?

Thanks! I've never done any github stuff, wouldn't know what to do. Anyone else is free to set that up for whatever continuation thing you guys do.

Nope, change of plans on all that. Mythros has moved to a different texture pack as working in a pixel art style was taking too much time for them, and I didn't have the time to continue helping.

Also I just don't have the time to help out on this. I made some textures a few weeks ago to try and fill the gaps that were missing, then a new patch came out and added tons more. That's the main reason I stopped on this, I could never really finish it! Art is supposed to be finished damn it! So the next chance I get I will upload all the stuff I have, and honestly you guys are free to do with it what you want.

That's right, I am giving permission to anyone to use any and all of my textures (Derivation or otherwise) in their own pack, or a continuation pack. I'm not going to update the OP, or announce this anywhere else. I don't want there to be a bunch of "continuations" or "remix" packs of Derivation out there by random people who just want to 'piggy-back' on my art to get recognition. I just want you hardcore fans of the pack to work on it. So if you want to make your own topic to continue the pack, please do, and just cite this if anyone says you are stealing it.

Thank you all again for the great support. All of this really helped me as an artist, and I only hope you will be able to say the same at some point.

The current glass side should work well enough, as it also made of wood.
Also the colors you chose for the glass, I feel they are perhaps to saturated to match the feel of the rest of the pack. Try referencing other textures in the pack, like the wool colors maybe. For example; you'll note I never use pure white ever in the pack, but you used it in the white glass.

This json stuff is very interesting. I hope it gets refined some more because it could make this game look a lot better.

Not yet, but I will say the thing I am working on is stained glass. I've always wanted glass to be semi-transparent, so I can finally do the glass design I've wanted for a while.
In my opinion the basic glass shouldn't even exist anymore.

I don't have any amazing news, but the Mythros stuff is still chugging along nicely. It's plausible there will be a substantial update at some point, but again, no promises.

I did make this palette of most (not all) of the colors I've used. Labeled and sorted.

You never fail to impress, those are really stunning, it's a shame they won't be used for anything. Would you be so kind to share the full color palette you used? The colors are really appealing.

I didn't make a palette beforehand, but those are almost all the textures I made so that's all the colors I used.

Also this isn't related to Minecraft, so I'll put it in a spoiler, but for those curious I have a screen of a game I am making all by my lonesome. Still needs a year or more of work though.

A while ago I was working on a Sci-Fi adventure map, and accompanying texture pack. It's clear now I'm never going to work on anything again, so I may as well show off the stuff so it doesn't go to complete waste.

I was doing the artwork, but the developer decided to go a different route with artists; Amiably I might add.

    Just found this
    http://www.planetmin...2x-172-2639259/

You did say that it was ok to continue it in a message, but it's a bit vague imo. Just want to make sure that you are ok with this.

Wow, nope not okay with this. His "screenshot" of that message is a complete fabrication. I have never received a message form him, and would never say those words to anyone.

Oddly enough, I might have been lenient otherwise, since he provided so much credit and took some care in making a good description, but that fake message sends a very bad message. If you guys have a chance, report that, as I have already.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

EDIT: Looks like it has been taken down. I'm still stunned that someone would go through so much effort for pretend internet points.
I can't thank you guys enough for spotting thievery on PMC. I never would have spotted that otherwise!

Started making a skybox, but i made it too small and it looks bad strecthed so much.

I had issues with making a skybox a while back as well. No matter what I did, a low res (or pixel art) sky never looked right. I opted to just do a high res painted look and it works even with a pixel art terrain.
Although I like what you have going so far, and would love to see that style of sky work out!
