Char bio:
Anarkum was a librarian's son over the Eastern seas. He quickly learned how to stack the books with his logical mind, but to the detriment of his social skills. He grew into teenagehood surrounded by books. In his teenage years, especially, he would spend hours alone with a book in a far-reaching corner of the library. A fwe months before he turned twenty-three, Anarkum decided that it was time for a change. He ventured from his hovel in the corner of the library, emerging into the sunlight for the first time for several days. He walked around town. He saw the people busying themselves with menial tasks, working hard to earn a simple meal, or a few dollars.
Anarkum was disgusted. These were messy, illiterate beings, with no sense of knowledge or academia. He quickly retreated to his library. Between his home above the library and his little corner, this was where Anarkum was to spend the next few months. Right until his father's death. Anarkum's father was seventy four at the time, and it was no surprise to anyone that he had died. His mother had died at birth, and so it was up to Anarkum to operate the bookstore.
At first, he remained disgusted by these people. He would Often close the library so that he wouldn't have to contact these people. But slowly, he became accustomed to their filth. At least they were literate! They would chat to him over the counter when borrowing books, they would ask for recommendations from him, and he would provide knowledge on just about any subject. But one day, a shrouded man walked into the library. When Aharkum greeted him, he said nothing. He walked into a dark corner of the library, and began quietly ripping out pages and placing them on the floor. He then withdrew a flint and steel and...
Burned the library.
The library burned quickly. There was soon no home left for Anarkum in this place, and to get another at the age of 46 would be nigh impossible. So he decided to move to the West. Here we begin our story.
Personality: Anarkum talks awkwardly, and will not often initiate conversation. He is very logical, very orderly, and a dilligent worker, although weak. As a consequence, he is very knowledgeable.
