    1. You still need to explain why you don't like it. It's okay if you don't, I understand, but you need to explain why.
    2. Critical hits are already a part of Minecraft. So it isn't too complex. Also, there is no variable draw, it's just an aiming mode, that you have to wait through to be able to shoot.
    3. This doesn't have blood or violence. It's not decapitation. Snowmen lose their heads in real life all the time, I wouldn't call this unfriendly to children. It just uncrafts a snow golem, we already have the ability to drop pumpkins on the ground as items, and stack 2-high snow blocks, so I don't see the problem.
    4. Everything else has critical hits, so for the sake of consistency, that needs to apply to the Musket. However, because it doesn't have variable draw speed, and we lack the ability to shoot it while falling, we need headshots, for consistency.

    1. I can't further explain it, I just don't think guns should be in vanilla Minecraft. Only reloadable weapon that I think should be in Minecraft is the Atlatl.
    2. and 4. Sorry, I feel like an idiot for mis-reading your original post. Now re-reading it, I think it is fine.
    3. Again, sorry about mis-reading the post. I thought it said animate not inanimate, so now I think that is fine for vanilla.

I don't like this idea for vanilla Minecraft for a few reasons.

    1) I don't like the idea of fire arms in Minecraft: Not that it does not fit time period wise, I just don't like it

    2) The 'critical hit' thing is way to complex for vanilla Minecraft: Make it so it become more accurate until full draw. No extra hit boxes, no 'critical hit'; its a gun, and a gun is just as powerful if you aim or if you don't aim

    3) The headless snow golem: Single Player needs to be as 'child friendly' (though personally, that would be cool) and there is the Amputation mod that can do the same thing

    4) Head shots: Yes most of these dislikes involve this, it is realistic/not at all. Like why even have head shots, bows don't and I am pretty sure that if an arrow is shot from a long bow are full draw into a cows head it would die.

So I have no support with this as a vanilla Minecraft feature, but a mods sounds cool.

posted a message on Decrease tree density - We don't need this much trees, no thanks!
No support on a lower density.

I would like varying density and have trees at grow to different heights (not just short and tall, but any height in between).

You could combine the commands like so:
    /summon Arrow ~ ~ ~ {pickup:0,life:0,UUIDLeast:X,UUIDMost:X}
Where X is any number, though you have to do this manually for every arrow because there is no a way to make minecraft choose a random number. I would have to know more to see if there is a better way.

Try to type 'java' (no quotes) in the Command Console. That is the best way to find the java version on Mac, don't know if it will work on Windows.

Hmmmm, look around your computer's files. Google how to find your minecraft folder and see if it is there. Also look for the minecraft app (the thing you click on to open the launcher).

If you can't find anything, try re-downloading the .exe (you are on Windows right?) and opening it. If you have any programs that would prevent 'fraudulent' files from being open (some virus barriers may do that) make sure they are off/not going to effect opening a .exe downloaded from the Internet.

You need to explain your self more. You downloaded the minecraft.dmg or minecraft.exe (which one) and ran it. Now at what point does Minecraft stop working?

... or you could read the issue that I linked. AMD cards have a known issue with the larger render distances that 1.8 allows.

Does the OP have AMD graphics?

    OP?

More than likely it is Java 8. I run macs and manually updated to 8 and all my java programs would not open and gave me a pop-up saying to get java 6.

There could be a corrupt chunks in your world. Just click the render distance down and then back up. Or walk into the chunks, I have to do that all the time in servers. Your ram is low so I would defiantly make sure you keep your graphics low, my old laptop does have rendering glitches similar to this.

Technically it could be (not likely) your graphics card. So if downgrading to Java 6 does not work, check out the card.

Programming mobs to dig/explode through player made barricades is probably a lot harder than it sounds. How does a creeper efficiently determine a good place to explode? It's also wasted effort, because the player can use beds, build a floating house that only the player can jump into, build self repairing cobblestone structures and generally run rings around whatever AI gets implemented. I'd give it three hours before someone posted a Youtube video showing creeper explosions being used in some kind of farm.

The creepers would not know where the best place to blow a wall open would be. It would be more of where is the place closest to the player.

I like the ideas, but this seems to be better in a mod(s) than a vanilla game mode.

So you are saying this 'Frontier' company (which I have never heard of) bought out Time Warner in your area, which is a MAJOR company, they refuse to give you more than dial-up, and you live in Ohio. Well I lived in Ohio and I know you can get AT&T there, which may not be the best but it is better. I live in the middle of nowhere now (I am in the largest town in a 100 mile radius and the population is about 9,800) and I can get AT&T (though it is slightly better dial-up, I can get 1.3Mb/s download or 1.4 and it last for 1-30 seconds) or Zito (which gets their internet through Time Warner).

My suggestion is to move to the nearest town to the one you live in or get satellite internet. You also informed me that you could get a ping over 500.

BTW my ping right before post this was 15

I like the idea, it could be useful in survival if you are getting attacked by zombies and you climb up a cliff to get away. Though I don't use potions in minecraft unless i am in creative mode.

I think it would be better if it had tiers, but as how 'sticky' you are. For example, tier I you climb as fast as being on a ladder but it only last for a short amount of time. Tier II you climb slower but it last longer, tier III is slower than II but even longer, etc. You could then use it to give a 'sticky bomb' effect in a map but giving the play blast resistance XX, blowing a ton of TNT up, then some Stickness XX so they hit a wall and get stuck. That also leads to another suggestion, make it so if you stop moving you slide down at the same speed you climb up. This would make it so someone PVPing could not climb up a wall and camp with a bow until it wares out (they could but it would be a pain).

Erm I just use Dropbox..... Or you could put Minecraft on a thumb drive....which should be idiot proof....and using a thumb drive means you don't have to have internet connection.

That shouldn't be your graphic card...but having a bad/old card would not help. Are you just using the Technic launcher or do you also have this problem with both the Technic and Mojang launchers?
