After checking out the suggested servers, the admins seem either really strict or they're PVP servers-- the latter is especially troubling, as the only thing I hate worse than having my creations destroyed by players is being myself destroyed by players...

It was pretty plain English... I mean, I used some slang and made a Dr. Seuss reference, so, everyone older than 6 shouldn't have too much trouble interpreting it, imho. lol
I want to love it, but chat wasn't working for me (Tried saying things several times, only 'howdy' ever sent). Lag was bad, but I wished it weren't so...
All I want is a small server with none of the garbage that ruins the general premise of the game (ie establishing factions, super-restrictive nonsense, and the general elitist trash). Whitelist is fine, I understand that. Hamachi is bleh, but I'd even make an exception in that regard.
In the best possible scenario, someone would post a link to such a server and make me insanely happy. In fact, just in case it will sweeten the deal of anyone holding back from posting a link to their server, here's a bit about me:

Reason: Getting back into MC, the old server I played on stagnated and died. Prefer somewhat smaller servers to big ones.
Love it. My only strife is the clay balls (discussed it in the chat the other day) and the bow. From the inventory, the bow is almost impossible to see in full-screen mode, and entirely invisible in windowed mode.

How long would it take you to complete the town: Depends on how big the town is. If I'm not req. to gather, then little time per building. Even less time if I'm given requests on what to build.
What building style are you (what blocks most used): LOTS of wood, haven't played with cloth too much yet (haven't had a reason to, really).
Do you build medieval,modern,or out of your mind: Lots of medieval (numerous castles, dragons, castle villages), but recently I've been building tree-hut villages (think the Ewoks from Star Wars). Or whatever comes to mind, otherwise.
Do you listen and build what I ask: Always, a challenge is always welcomed.
Do you need /give to build your town?(yes/no): Not at all required, but saves immense amounts of time (especially bones when building a tree village-- cuts the time down by at least 90%).

Why are you interested: Pissed at playing on public servers and getting my crap griefed, and I'm an ego-crazed lunatic obsessed with showing off (in case you can't tell, that's a joke-- I want to play and have fun in a controlled community).

Its of the entrance to my tree village, which was built on a swamp created from scratch (so that mobs won't be able to lurk around the tree's roots). The village is only about 15% done, but the entrance is complete (a few of the platforms can be seen poking out from the leaves). My best attempt at a tree village was in SMP and got griefed-- nothing was left :SSSS:. This one was entirely made from scratch, and I'm a little less pleased with how 'orderly' I made it (the trees were planted in a grid).

Server host is an ignorant, intolerant, asocial dike, as the previous posts clearly allude to. While I'm desperate to play, this is NOT the server to do it on.
