i set my server name & MOTD but it keeps reverting back to the Default Messages, i done in the MCLawl.exe settings & in the server.properties file
how can i add my how maps (*.dat) or tell the mod to make the maps larger than 128x128
thank you
The name and MOTD keep changing back because you are using invalid characters and not using letters that are allowed.
.dat levels must be converted using a .dat to .lvl converter, they are available on google. If you want to make a map larger than 128x128, then when you do /newlvl you specify the size, for instance /newlvl main2 512 256 512 flat would make a new flatgrass level 256 blocks tall, 512 wide and long.
Meeby.SmartIrc4Net.dll is the IRC Bot code. It's required to start MClawl. It triggers as a trojan on some anti viruses because of it's communications code, but it's not.
NinjaQ: Money has to be seeded into the server by the admin using the console to give someone an initial amount of money. It can be distributed from that point.
Friedmutant: Any of the minecraft clients will work with MClawl. Old UNSPEAKABLE clients, new ones, the web browser, etc.
As PieceofCake said, MCLawl is MCSharp basically. It took MCSharp as a base and added countless features to it, more features than any other server software has. If you use MCSharp, you can use MClawl, it has all the same basic commands, just has more of them. Transferring from MCSharp to MCLawl is as simple as copying your levels and rank texts over to a new MClawl installation, everything is backwards compatible.
If you don't like the command, use cmdset to set it to Noone and don't allow anyone to use it on your server. Or don't use MCLawl. Either of which are viable options if you're not happy with a command that we implement.
You are also incorrect where you say that I disagree that this is a problem. I would love it if cuboid and imageprint showed who printed or cuboided the area. But they don't. They both use the same functionality to place blocks, imageprint is just basically a cuboid where it changes what block it places. Cuboid by it's nature does not place information on who placed the block, simply because it only registers actual clicks as blockchanges by the client and server.
Im liking this, it works pretty well. However i share the same concern thats already been raised, i like making pixel art and i like showing it off, i dislike being told i cheated and used a bot/command.
So yeah, my problem with this is it works too well :tongue.gif:
keep up the good work lawlcat and team, what next? reconstructind 3d studio max models in minecraft?
Well, since you brought it up, I'm currently deciding on whether or not to implement a way to print animated gifs. I've got the code down, and I can easily do it, I just don't know how useable it would be. Of course they'd have to be small, 16x16 or 32x32 or they'd lag the server up, but you could have animated gifs.
Also, we're working on a way to pull vertex data from at least Blender 3d models and import that, so you can print 3d models in-game.
At least, that's the plan. Whether or not it comes to fruition is another story entirely.
Sounds like something is preventing MCLawl from opening 25565 on your local machine. Disable any firewall or security software you have running and try again. Also try changing your port to say, 25566, or 30,000, or 5000, or some arbitrary number.

If you just want to expand a map you already have, load it up in omen and start cranking the size up, then bring it back to mclawl.

Download the new exe from the website, http://www.mclawl.tk/MCLawl.exe or just go to mclawl.tk and click download and extract it from the zip

It's funny, cause guests come in and ask how to fly for the millionth time. "Oh...flying? Use /hacks". "How do you get promoted? Use /hacks".
Trolls trolling trolls.
