I hope not. The PC version will have to be stripped otherwise.

How will the PC version have to "be stripped"? How would making the game cross platform be a detriment to anything? They're the same game only one is played on PC and the other is on Xbox 360.

posted a message on My Crafting Complaint
It doesn't "ruin" Minecraft. It makes it easier on Xbox players. And it doesn't change anything. You still need the materials to make things, which are all the same. You can still manage your inventory...it literally changes nothing about crafting other than the way you access the interface for it, and how you "place things" in the crafting square.

Cross-Platform would be nice, but xbox 360 users would suffer done disadvantages in multiplayer, like:

And that's just a start. I think i could sit here for hours thinking of disadvantages for Xbox users.

And all of those would be valid complaints if Minecraft were a competitive first person shooter. It's not a competitive game. And lots of people already play with an Xbox controller. You don't need to look extra fast, and even then, you can crank the sensitivity. Typing on a chatpad is plenty easy and very fast. Plus, voice chat. And you can't attack any faster with a mouse than with a button or trigger.

No, because that will be impossible. It will be an arcade game, AND the two are both very different. It's not like they grabbed minecraft from the PC, and just slammed it into XBL.

Uh, it is possible. I remember Microsoft saying a few months back that Minecraft on 360 would play nice with Minecraft on PC. I don't remember where I read it, but if I dug around hard enough I could find it.

EDIT: Yep, found it. Proof that Microsoft said it would be cross platform. It's most of the way down the page, but do a ctrl-f for Minecraft and you'll find it.

And yeah, they basically did take Minecraft and slam it into XBLA. It's going to be identical to the PC version.

I thought Microsoft already confirmed that Minecraft 360 would be cross platform compatible with Minecraft PC? Or did I just read a rumor about that? Either way, if it was true, that would mean you could connect to Bukkit servers with all their anti-griefing plugins, so...We'll have to see how it works. And also, if it is on the Xbox, you can probably host a private server over Live and set it so that only friends that you invite can join.

Or maybe there will be a server list. I don't know.

posted a message on Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary
In the end it comes down to one thing: Have you played the original Halo: Combat Evolved game?

If yes: Don't waste your time. Get the map pack for Reach, it's cheaper and that's basically the only thing you'll get out of it, unless you're an Achievement *****.

If no: Buy it. It's a very good game. The original set the standard for almost every single console first person shooter since.

Overall, I'd give the Anniversary edition a 5/10. It's a great game, but it's just not substantial enough for me, since I still have the original Halo, in my original Xbox connected to my TV. I'd rather have bought the map pack for Reach.

Also, you can't use the new "Library" feature thing to scan things in game unless you have a Kinect. Weak.

As a girl, I don't like it when people do it for me! Why should I be treated differently because I'm a woman? I'm a person like everyone else, so just treat me that way, like a person. Gender equality!

posted a message on How To Destroy Your Computer? HELP ME!
Don't destroy the computer! Seriously, that's stupid. Most of the time, you don't need a new one, you just need to take care of the one you already have. Do a fresh install of Windows. Take care of it this time. Don't download crap you don't need. Don't use software you don't trust. Don't have a billion things running in the background. I guarantee what you have can most likely run Minecraft fine.

posted a message on Your favourite BGM?

My favorite theme from Super Metroid! Well, all the music in that game is AMAZING, but this one stands out in my mind a lot!

Also the Famicom Medley from Smash Bros. Brawl! So many great soundtracks there. Or the main theme from Blaster Master. Or The Adventures of Bayou Billy!

    I can't decide! :tongue.gif:
