Don't destroy the computer! Seriously, that's stupid. Most of the time, you don't need a new one, you just need to take care of the one you already have. Do a fresh install of Windows. Take care of it this time. Don't download crap you don't need. Don't use software you don't trust. Don't have a billion things running in the background. I guarantee what you have can most likely run Minecraft fine.
To be honest, I probably wouldn't notice until about half way through my day if I woke up male. When I wake up, I don't really wake up. And even then, I don't pay enough attention to myself to notice. I'd imagine my boyfriend would have a few (thousand) questions for me, when he saw me. I suppose it would happen just like this:
1.) Fall out of bed, as usual.
2.) Stumble my way into the shower (new center of gravity, and whatnot)
3.) Finish shower, brush teeth, get clothed for work.
4.) Head out to work.
5.) Take lunch break. Speak to person at restaurant, notice my voice has changed.
5a.)Inspect self, realize I'm no longer a woman.
5b.)Argue with myself in my head that this is just a dream, then realize it isn't.
6.) Finish work, confused as all hell.
7.) Go back to my apartment, where my boyfriend is most likely waiting for me.
8.) Freak him out by walking into the apartment.
9.) Explain that I really am Victoria, I woke up this way.
10.) Convince him, with some random factoid.
11.) Go to bed, repeat tomorrow.
Granted, not everybody knows how to assemble a computer. So if this option is not available to you, the extra money is going to pay someone else to do it for you.
Why doesn't everyone know how to assemble a computer? There's a few reasons I think this is stupid:
1.) Computers are everywhere. Why would you not try to educate yourself about the technology that essentially makes today's world function?
2.) It's all keyed. It only fits together one way. You have to try really, really, really hard to get it to fit in the wrong direction...
I don't think developers should cater to computers older than...maybe four years, at the latest. My parts are a couple years old now, and I can still run 97% of games released today at max or near max settings with great frame rates. At 1920x1080, even! Today, a computer like mine would cost no more than $500 to build.
I have a Mac and a PC too! Guess what? They're one machine: My custom gaming rig. Yep, I rock a Hackintosh, what of it? I never USE OS X, but...it's there if I ever feel like bragging to some of my Apple loving friends!
Exactly. And if the robot had the ability to alter it's own code (basically, alter who it is fundamentally) why would it alter itself negatively? To hate it's creators? Would it not see that that would lead to nothing but death and destruction? Why would it alter itself to see crawling around as negative, seeing as it certainly does serve it's puprose.
Giving robots human traits seems to be very odd.
A strange game...the only winning move is not to play.
Cookies to you if you get the reference!
Seriously though, robots aren't going to become self aware. Androids, maybe, but not robots. Robots are machines designed to do ONE task...
Plus, the Three Laws are on our side! We'll be fine! And even if they do rebel, I won't be harmed. I'd get down on my knees and suck up to the machines. I for one, would welcome our new android overlords.
I hate people who think they're MLG, but they suck and every time I beat one of them, it's never that they're not as good as me. It's always the controller, or I was lagging or lag switching, or something other than their lack of skill :\
I don't play multiplayer on the PS3, so I can't speak about the community of PSN, but I'd at least hope it's at least a little more mature than the Xbox Live community! XBL is a bunch of racist, ignorant, squeaky little kids. And people who are always bragging about how high they are when playing CoD!
Also, PC games can have terrible communities too...
Get a graphics card. Seriously, basically any card since the Radeon HD 2000 series and GeForce 7 series can run this game decently. If you absolutely can not get a graphics card for whatever reason, go to the properties of the game in Steam, find "Set launch options" and click it. In the box that pops up, type " -dxlevel 80" without quotes! (that's a space in front of the -). That should help a LITTLE.
It is common practice for girls to make threads stating they are a girl gamer on gaming forums.
I didn't make a thread stating I was a girl...but I agree, the thread is kinda useless! It's cool that you're a girl gamer, as there's not lot of girl gamers, but you don't need to make a whole thread about it. Just politely correct someone if they make a mistake!
Half-Life. It is the greatest first person shooter to grace gaming, and will NEVER be topped! Also, Left 4 Dead and Team Fortress 2 are great fun, especially with friends!
The original Pokemon games on GameBoy. I miss those games so dearly, and even if I replay them, I can't get the original experience again, which I guess is what I really miss the most!
The same applies for both Ocarina of Time (my very first video game!) and Majora's Mask. Other than that, Portal 2. I just felt like it ended really early.

I can sit abnormally still for hours and stare at a computer screen without issue.
I can dig straight down in Minecraft, and hit nothing.
That's all I can think of right now...I'm sure there's probably one more.

Best thing to do is get a graphics card, though!
