    I'm starting to playtest this mod for possible future pack development and I've helped set up the page on the FTB Wiki for documenting as I go. Putting that out there for anyone more experienced in the mod than I who might want to pitch in!

    Hi,


    So, the brick textures in this mod are, to be frank, not well done. I've put together a pack of redone textures for both types of brick and the polished stone that makes them consistant with vanilla Minecraft bricks and blocks. (I can also do the offset brick pattern from the existing brick in a similar manner if that would be preferable.)


    I've zipped them up as a resource pack for anyone who wants to use them now; I'm offering them up for use in the mod if you want. If the new maintainer still has the mod on GitHub I can submit it as a pull request.

    I don't know for certain if it was just luck or changing back to default that did it, but there you go.


    This always worked but doesn't help those of us who already generated a world with the "wrong" settings. The fix that went in with 4.03 might and that's what I'm trying to confirm. Apparently it also affected vanilla alternate world types such as Large Biomes.

    A mostly non-spoilery hint guide to magical bees...in rhyme. (In spoiler tags for length.)

    To start out in the arcane way,
    find a hero to save the day.
    Though if a hero can't be brought,
    royalty is what should be sought.
    First face off against the fire
    to find the devil you desire
    Then travel to the ends of the earth
    to find a mate of incalculable worth.
    Take the sum of both these parts,
    and you're on your way in arcane arts.

    Against forces unseen, be brave,
    You'll chance upon an uncommon knave.
    From your duties, never shirk,
    know well the value of hard work.
    Charm with bravery goes a long way;
    Enchantments work by night or day;
    The supernatural path is yours
    when both together open doors.

    To crystallize what you have earned,
    there are things you will have to learn.
    With the knowledge you attain,
    meld the supernatural with arcane.
    The other elements you want to find
    are in the book, so expand your mind.

    If lore is what you wish to find,
    The arcane student must apply their mind.
    Learn enchantment and embrace the tome,
    a library they call their home.

    What monsters skulk in this mystery?

    That's not what he's best known for. Chuck Jones worked for Warner Brothers ; he did a lot of the most famous Bugs Bunny cartoons, and (most relevant to the subject of falling anvils) created the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote characters.

    Updating Forge and EE to their most recent versions fixes this (thanks to whoever figured that out earlier in this thread).

    A workaround I found before updating was that if you place an item in the target slot while you're working, the lag decreases significantly.

    P.S.: I finished Blood and Water. Whoever decided on that reward? EVIL. :steve_rage:

    Semi random item suggestion: A self-filling/ever-full cauldron, infused with some combo of a cauldron and aqueous crystals/extracts. I know infinite water supplies are trivial to make but they are sometimes impractical for space reasons, like my 2nd-floor workshop which holds both my brewing stand and thaumatorium.

    May I request that Thaumcraft-compatable texture packs be linked in the first post of the thread? Would be so much easier to find that way. I run Painterly in my vanilla install but I'm pretty sure I can't just drop it in Thaumcraft and expect it to work.
