    So this is maybe a bit of a big ask, but...how hard would it be to have a map/pack-maker's mode/version of RFTools Dimensions? (Or does such exist now that I'm not aware of?) To my knowledge, no mod has had this sort of user-accessable dimention creation other than Mystcraft.


    As I see things now you can set up a dimension in Creative with a creative power cell, use the default world mod to spawn the player there and if needed, use CraftTweaker to disable all the RFTools stuff in survival if you don't want players using them (i.e. in a magic-themed pack).. But the machine and the power have to exist somewhere. If that somewhere is a world where the player has access, you pretty much have to spawn and load it inside a bedrock box which is doable but inelegant. With Mystcraft, as much as a problem as lingering dimensions were for servers, you could copy the dimension folder (with or without pregenerated terrain) and throw away the book.


    Ideal would be a standalone mod with config files/interface taking the place of the machines. Next best would be map-makers mode config settings - what exactly is up for debate as I'm having trouble articulating what they should be.

    Hi,


    So, the brick textures in this mod are, to be frank, not well done. I've put together a pack of redone textures for both types of brick and the polished stone that makes them consistant with vanilla Minecraft bricks and blocks. (I can also do the offset brick pattern from the existing brick in a similar manner if that would be preferable.)


    I've zipped them up as a resource pack for anyone who wants to use them now; I'm offering them up for use in the mod if you want. If the new maintainer still has the mod on GitHub I can submit it as a pull request.

    Hi again:


    Can you oredict Minerology's granite, diorite and andesite and their polished versions with their vanilla counterparts? Also, the various bricks to stone brick? I believe this would allow better compatibility with and conversion between types with the Chisel mod.

    Hey; trying out this mod for the first time in 1.9 via Jaded's Roulette pack and evaluating mods to do a personal building pack when 1.9 settles down more. Is it still true that this conflicts with other mods that do terrain gen? I'm eying Realistic Terrain Generator.


    It seems fine at first glance with 1.9 Biomes of Plenty using their worldtype.

    Could I get a current statement on the prospects/status of Forge MultiPart support? Haven't found anything newer than a year old and they varried between "there's something in there" and "it might never happen". (My quick test in a creative FTB Infinity world turned all of them into bedrock blocks)

    Ok, I just noticed something wierd.

    I'm in an Agrarian Skies world. I planted my greatwood tree in a magical forest biome and just now next to it I've got a mana bean farm going with growth lamps and an essentia mirror (with the alchemy setup to melt down saplings for herba right downstairs). And some of the bottommost leaves on my greatwood tree are giving off green sparkles in frequent and apparently random bursts. I don't think they're actualy close enough to the growth lamps to be in their sphere of influence but I've never seen this happen before and don't know if it means anything.

    Compatablity request: Can the map frames be made to work with the Magic Map (and possibly other maps) from the Twilight Forest? Benimatic was able to get the maps working in vanilla item frames. I don't know whose end it would be on to get them to work with Bibliocraft but I gather that Bibliocraft does most of its own compatability stuff.

    Well I put in the most recent Thaumcraft and BOP, and while I'm not sure if silverwoods are generating in existing BOP biomes (even with regen forced), I did get a Magical Forest in new chunks. Yay, progress!

    I don't know for certain if it was just luck or changing back to default that did it, but there you go.


    This always worked but doesn't help those of us who already generated a world with the "wrong" settings. The fix that went in with 4.03 might and that's what I'm trying to confirm. Apparently it also affected vanilla alternate world types such as Large Biomes.

    Sorry for the thread hop, skipped several days of posts. Trying to clarify: If I update to 4.0.3 and then run tree retrogen on my existing world, I should get silverwoods in previously explored biomes if they've been defined in the biome dictionary to be magical forests? And the presence of silverwood may create the magic forest biome from Thaumcraft?
