I am not surprised at all. 1.7.10 has a set of mods that just never got updated and for that reason alone, will be a version I will keep revisiting.
There has been talk about Dynamic Trees integration on the Discord server, but I am not certain if anything regarding that mod was promised at all. For more information, I would ask the question on the Discord server myself.
I stayed on 1.7.10 for so long because it just had soooo many mods. My mods folder was busting at the seams. And of course not constantly having to update mods was a plus too. I never had to worry about it. But that also meant that glitches and broken features that were present in mods would forever be present.
I just kind of felt that 1.7.10 had run its course for me, and I was honestly kind of tired of missing out on new features. Not just from vanilla Minecraft but from mods as well. I ran down the list of mods that I had and saw that a good majority of them had been updated or are in the works of being updated, I,E, Buildcraft which is in alpha. Unfortunately I had to give up quite a few mods simply because they haven't been updated or have been updated but are broken and no longer be supported at all. Fortunately a few of the bigger mods have added in a million new features since their 1.7.10 version, and I was able to find an assortment of new mods to fill the void. I'm still keeping fingers crossed for some of the other mods I had to give up.
Anyways, enough about that. Lol! In regards to the whole RTG and Dynamic Trees thing, I might look into wondering over to the server at some point. The fact that there is some discussion is really good because it certainly shows potential for that feature. Thanks!
I have been using RTG for so long now. It is a must have for me. I recently decided to move on from 1.7.10 (No, that isn't a typo. That really says 1.7.10.) I am really missing RTG for 1.12.2. I'm glad to see that it is still in the works of being updated. I can;t wait to have it back in my game.
I do have one question though. I have discovered the magic of Dynamic Trees. Will support for Dynamic Trees ever be a thing with RTG or will that be a situation where I will have to pick one or the other? I really do like RTG trees because they are truly so much better than vanilla, but it would just be the cherry on top of the sundae if RTG trees had Dynamic Trees support. ^.^
This mod doesn't seem to like my wooden tools. I even went back to 3.3.1 as advised above, and it still crashes. I know it is this mod because I took it out, and it didn't crash.

I also wanted to say that I am in love with this pack! I'm extremely picky when it comes to textures for this game. For the longest time, I only used a default improvement pack because I couldn't find anything else I liked. Well, the pack wasn't getting updated to 1.8, so I decided to look for something new. I looked for a week when I eventually came across this pack. I loved the pictures but was skeptical. Usually I would find a pack I liked, but after getting it in game and seeing it for myself, I wouldn't like it as much. This pack though. This pack was a true winner from pictures to in-game. I LOVE the style of this pack.
Needless to say, you get the seal of approval from an extremely picky player. 5/5 for you!

I decided to take the RWG for a test run, and I'm impressed with the progress so far. One thing I did notice, and this is probably low on your list though, is that it doesn't seem to work with Mo Creatures. The only creature that was able to spawn was the wraith. Again probably low on your list, but I just thought I would throw that in there.

Ah! I didn't realize that was a thing. Still kind of odd that I spawned right in the middle of two locked areas. I did manage to find another portal though, and it spawns me not too far from my home in the overworld. I might just have to use that as my main portal for awhile.
I am still fairly new to this mod and have a few questions. I apologize if these have already been asked though.
1. Is there a way to turn off the black hunger particles and the death rain? My portal spawned in an extremely small area right between two biomes, one with the hunger particles and one with the death rain. The biome with the hunger particles is rather large. The biome with the death rain is even larger and completely unavoidable. It seems to surround the area that I spawned in. I didn't see an option in the config files unless I over looked it.
ETA: Can I just ask why are these rains and what not a constant thing and why do they go through the ground and walls? I understand wanting to add difficultly and what not, but why does there seem to be no break from the constant death? It's more frustrating than anything.
2. What is trollsteinn? I tried looking it up on the wiki, but there doesn't seem to be anything about it. Sometimes when I break it, I get the actual block, but I can't smelt it down into anything. Sometimes when I break them, I get these weird green squares that last for a matter of two seconds.
3. What are those green squares and what is their purpose? I have also seen them floating around on their own in areas.

Well it is like that with vanilla villagers as well. Normally lighting up the area/houses roofs and building a two high wall around the town works fine.
Guards will attack mobs regardless. Spouse/children will attack mobs if you set their combat to sword/close ranged/whatever it is called. Other villagers need to be made into your peasants(you need to be a monarch to do this), and you need to set their combat to sword/close ranged/whatever it is called before they will attack mobs.
I don't care about the vanilla villagers though. Lol! They don't interest me. The exact reason I downloaded this mod.
I have a gravestone mod, and it looks like the fight started inside and then migrated to right outside the door where the guards eventually found them. A bit too late though. : ( Really quite odd though as there are more than enough guards. Thanks for the info on the combat though.
I guess what I'll have to do is set up a home far enough from the town until I can gather supplies to upgrade the town.
ETA: I also wanted to say I hope I'm not coming off as angry at you. I'm not. I've known the mechanics of how zombies react towards villagers since before I played Minecraft myself from watching videos and what not. I'm just frustrated. I'm not trying to blame anyone, so I apologize if I come off the wrong way.
The simplest way to prevent villager deaths is to prevent zombies from spawning. Forcing doors to close before teleportation would be insanely complicated because detecting if the door is closed probably involves using pathfinding. Not to mention that it is completely useless for hard mode as zombies break down doors.
So, it's either prevent all monsters from spawning (because skeletons also attack them, and I have Mo Creatures), or let all villagers die.
If I can gift villagers swords, do they actually use them?
In the current game that I'm playing, I went out to mine some things and came back to my town to find more than half the villagers where dead. All because two doors got left open because they were forced to teleport to their sleeping location while they where in the process of opening the door. This isn't the first time this has happened either. I don't always have the time to babysit my villagers and make sure all the doors are closed. Is there something, anything that can done about this? Have them walk to their homes? Force the door to close on it's own if the door gets left open during teleportation? Delay teleportation until the villager is inside the building and the door is closed? Anything? : )
Back to topic! I know the water creature problem has come up a number of times but I am actually getting far less than usual even after a config change. Has anyone found a happy balance in this version (1.7.10)? I am currently stumped... its a bit depressing when the only thing in the water is a very ornery piranha... I always forget about him too.
I can't say I've found a happy balance, but for me, anything below 30 will only allow them to spawn extremely occasionally; however, they all like to spawn in one spot. There will be a ton of dolphins with one or two sharks or a ton of sharks with one or two dolphins, a ton of rays, and more than enough mix of the fishys. You can walk 10-15 blocks to the left or right and then find nothing. It also seems to like to allow sharks and dolphins to spawn in one block deep rivers and lakes.
Now that you children are doing venting your ignorance, can we go back to talking about the elephant in the room that is these massive memory leaks? Why am I and one other soul the only people to notice this?
I can't remember the last time my game crashed because of MoC, and I've never had my computer go down either. And this is with having my game open for hours. I don't notice any change in my game either from playing for so long. It performs pretty consistently all the time.
I've been playing around a lot more with this mod, and the more I do the more I discover! I did notice that the big carpenter's block doesn't work with the sticky pistons. They don't stick to it, and the pistons don't pop out if you put the block directly in front of it. I haven't tested with any of the other blocks, but I'm just going to assume that it is the same. Do you know if this is fixable? It would work perfectly for my gate I'm building with using the iron bars as the texture, but unfortunately it doesn't like the blocks.
Would it be possible to change the title of your childrens' spouses? I am one save where I got married, which made my husband a king. We then had a son. The son is technically a prince, even if it doesn't state that. So when I married my son off, I married him to a farmer. She was still a farmer though. If she is married to a prince, wouldn't that make her a princess by marriage? It feels kind of weird to have this farmer woman living in my diamond mansion. : P

First of all, congrats on getting the studio up and running. Very exciting!
I also wanted to say that I am in love with this pack! I'm extremely picky when it comes to textures for this game. For the longest time, I only used a default improvement pack because I couldn't find anything else I liked. Well, the pack wasn't getting updated to 1.8, so I decided to look for something new. I looked for a week when I eventually came across this pack. I loved the pictures but was skeptical. Usually I would find a pack I liked, but after getting it in game and seeing it for myself, I wouldn't like it as much. This pack though. This pack was a true winner from pictures to in-game. I LOVE the style of this pack.
Needless to say, you get the seal of approval from an extremely picky player. 5/5 for you!
If I could get BoP to actually work, I'd love to take a look for myself. Lol! Still trying to figure that one out. Can't wait to see what else you've got planned for this pack!

I decided to take the RWG for a test run, and I'm impressed with the progress so far. One thing I did notice, and this is probably low on your list though, is that it doesn't seem to work with Mo Creatures. The only creature that was able to spawn was the wraith. Again probably low on your list, but I just thought I would throw that in there.

I am still fairly new to this mod and have a few questions. I apologize if these have already been asked though.
1. Is there a way to turn off the black hunger particles and the death rain? My portal spawned in an extremely small area right between two biomes, one with the hunger particles and one with the death rain. The biome with the hunger particles is rather large. The biome with the death rain is even larger and completely unavoidable. It seems to surround the area that I spawned in. I didn't see an option in the config files unless I over looked it.
ETA: Can I just ask why are these rains and what not a constant thing and why do they go through the ground and walls? I understand wanting to add difficultly and what not, but why does there seem to be no break from the constant death? It's more frustrating than anything.
2. What is trollsteinn? I tried looking it up on the wiki, but there doesn't seem to be anything about it. Sometimes when I break it, I get the actual block, but I can't smelt it down into anything. Sometimes when I break them, I get these weird green squares that last for a matter of two seconds.
3. What are those green squares and what is their purpose? I have also seen them floating around on their own in areas.
I think that is all for now. Like I said, I'm still new to the mod and I'm sure I'll have more questions as I explore more.

I don't care about the vanilla villagers though. Lol! They don't interest me. The exact reason I downloaded this mod.
I have a gravestone mod, and it looks like the fight started inside and then migrated to right outside the door where the guards eventually found them. A bit too late though. : ( Really quite odd though as there are more than enough guards. Thanks for the info on the combat though.
I guess what I'll have to do is set up a home far enough from the town until I can gather supplies to upgrade the town.
ETA: I also wanted to say I hope I'm not coming off as angry at you. I'm not. I've known the mechanics of how zombies react towards villagers since before I played Minecraft myself from watching videos and what not. I'm just frustrated. I'm not trying to blame anyone, so I apologize if I come off the wrong way.

So, it's either prevent all monsters from spawning (because skeletons also attack them, and I have Mo Creatures), or let all villagers die.
If I can gift villagers swords, do they actually use them?

I can't say I've found a happy balance, but for me, anything below 30 will only allow them to spawn extremely occasionally; however, they all like to spawn in one spot. There will be a ton of dolphins with one or two sharks or a ton of sharks with one or two dolphins, a ton of rays, and more than enough mix of the fishys. You can walk 10-15 blocks to the left or right and then find nothing. It also seems to like to allow sharks and dolphins to spawn in one block deep rivers and lakes.
I can't remember the last time my game crashed because of MoC, and I've never had my computer go down either. And this is with having my game open for hours. I don't notice any change in my game either from playing for so long. It performs pretty consistently all the time.

I've been playing around a lot more with this mod, and the more I do the more I discover! I did notice that the big carpenter's block doesn't work with the sticky pistons. They don't stick to it, and the pistons don't pop out if you put the block directly in front of it. I haven't tested with any of the other blocks, but I'm just going to assume that it is the same. Do you know if this is fixable? It would work perfectly for my gate I'm building with using the iron bars as the texture, but unfortunately it doesn't like the blocks.
