As the title says, I want to find some good building tutorials.
I would mostly like to watch tutorials that start from most basic stuff and then move on to more advanced things.
I found mcKupo but I would like to see if there are some more good suggestions. YouTube videos or websites will work just fine.
Thank you for helping out.

Oct 20, 2013LORD_MJ posted a message on [64x] GLIMMAR'S STEAMPUNK v.22 NOW RELEASED! + Latest Newglim City Download! + GS Redstone Pipes Add-On Pack!I have a bit of a problem, the HD font seems to messed up in 1.6.4. I'm using Optifine. Could that be the issue or is something else wrong?Posted in: Resource Packs
Oct 17, 2013Okey, thanks for the help. I guess it's time to look into mob grinders (another thing I never done in MC, but at least I can copy something off YouTube). I was very lucky to find 2 skeleton spawners on top of each other, so I think I can get lots of exp that way. Not that I'm planning to create that uber tool setup you mentioned yet, but it will get me started at least.Posted in: Discussion
Oct 17, 2013Thank you all for responding! I honestly didn't expect to receive so much help. I'm definitely going to copy all this tips into a text document, maybe even write it in a book in MC and then store it near my enchanting area.Posted in: Discussion
@IronMagnus: Thank you very much for the quick tutorial, I think I understand things much better now. I just need to ask you one more question, and this may sound stupid, but how do you control which enchantments you get? Do you just sit near a grinder and enchant books? Because I heard that getting some of the enchants on a book is almost impossible.

Use unenchanted versions of the same tool, and swap which one goes in which slot. Got with the lower combination.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Sorry I didn't understand that. Can you please explain it in an other way? I also heard that renaming helps lower the cost. Should I rename my item before I start using it?
And the primary thing I'm confused about is WHEN to repair the item and with what. Should I go when it's nearly dead, or half way there? Should I make a new tool or use materials. I really don't understand how repair works.
Oct 17, 2013Okey, so I got tired of using boring unenchanted tools and armor so I wanted to dive in more deeply into enchanting.Posted in: Discussion
I figured out how it works, and I have some really awesome weapons and tools. But the problem is, how to repair them in a efficient way?
I already know that there is a limit on how much stuff you can do with the anvil, so I want to make my really good tools last as much as I can. In this case, I heard that Fortune 3 you can best obtain on a iron pickaxe. So I got 30 levels, and low and behold I got a Fortune 3, Unbreaking 3, Efficiency 4 pick!
I want to keep this pick and any other enchanted item I get for a really long time.
So can someone please help me here. I tried to figure out the Anvil Mechanics on the wiki, but it was all complicated mumbo-jumbo stuff to me. xD If you could point me to a good tutorial or post one here on how to efficiently repair items with an Anvil, I would be really grateful.

Oct 13, 2013LORD_MJ posted a message on [64x] GLIMMAR'S STEAMPUNK v.22 NOW RELEASED! + Latest Newglim City Download! + GS Redstone Pipes Add-On Pack! It's perfect. I love it. I can't wait to play with it. Only problem, most of my mods are stuck at 1.6.2 so I can't update to 1.6.4. ;(Posted in: Resource Packs
Oct 9, 2013You are correct, that is how I understand it as well.Posted in: Resource Packs
I only use 2 texture packs, and they are both updated regularly so I'm sure 1.7 support will arrive in reasonable time.

I'll just have to see how I can bring 1.7 to my city of Newglim. Still not had time to think about that problem.
Also, don't forget this next update of mine doesn't have any new 1.7 textures, it was more a case of trying to prepare the way by sprucing things up. So when 1.7 lands, I will work on all the new plants, opaque ice and podzol, etc. and intend to release work on a regular basis until all the new textures are complete.
When I say vanilla, I mean without any mods OR texture packs. Just a pure experience. So I can wait for the 1.7 version of your pack, I won't update to 1.7 until all the mods I use are released anyway.
Oct 8, 2013I want to start a new vanilla world when 1.7 hits. Good thing I have so many other worlds to play in and other games as well.Posted in: Resource Packs

Oooo! Me too!
I think sewers are creepy places, but incredibly atmospheric as a result. It was always my intention to try and create a believable system of sewers under my city, but it didn't quite turn out that way. Instead I have a kind of underground canal system instead, which definitely has a 'sewery' feel to it, but back in the day, when boat travel was the most efficient way of getting about, it had greater significance. Now I make them for atmosphere and decorative reasons and flit about in the air in creative.
I guess I like them for the same reason. I remember one mod (not for MC) that I played had a brilliantly designed sewer complex. It had some traps and the whole atmosphere was awesome.
I also enjoyed the sewers in Amnesia: TDD. I only wish the level was a bit longer.
.....New GS v13 Water Colour!
Aha, now that's cool! To be honest, I was a bit bugged why the water was green so much in your texture pack. I think that this will work much better.

Aug 29, 2011I don't get why do people get so pissed off that survival mod is being removed.Posted in: News
Did everyone forget about the realism mod? That will be new survival mod on steroids and it's going to be epic. It would be cool if they released realism in 1.9, but I'm sure that won't happen.
