i thought land claim flags were going to be used for anti-mob spawning zones so you didn't have to have torches (or lanterns) everywhere. i mean i'm pretty sure that was mentioned sometime in the past.
if you want to get real technical about it falling into water from a large height would do considerable physical harm to you
if not kill you
but that's in life. not minecraft. if we wanted to go by real life then we'd have to implement convection. and we like our lava moats too much to do that
you should probably try to get out of the habit of switching to Peaceful mode to noobcannon out of situations since that won't be changeable mid-game in the future, iirc
we are slowly but surely inching towards guild sieges
then again that could only really happen on excessively large maps where multiple groups of clans and their members are gathering
but seriously just think with me here. picture it.
four groups. they all pick a compass direction. They go there. They decide how many days until the "war" begins. Time is spent. Resources are gathered. Weapons are created. Defenses are strategically built. Mobs are left hidden inside walls to leave traps for those trying to burrow through. TNT cannons are created. Arrows, armor, sniping towers, the works..
And then..
WAR!
LOADS OF BAD GUYS!
FIGHTING!
DEATH!
LOOTING OF OTHER CASTLES!
UNFAIR GANG TACTICS!
SKELETONS INTERFERING DURING THE NIGHT TO KNOCK YOU OFF LEDGES!
FRANTICALLY REACHING FOR YOUR FRIED PORK TO SURVIVE THE ONSLAUGHT!
3D BULLET HELL STARRING ARROWS AND THE CASTLE ARCHERS THAT FIRE THEM!
AND IN THE END, ONE GROUP STANDS ABOVE ALL, TO BE KNOWN AS THE STRONGEST GROUP MINECRAFT WILL EVER SEE!
And they all gather up again in a week or two, to do it all over again.
As it stands I have to play on small maps because my computer can barely stand the lighting transition (as many others complain about I'm sure, but my computer just kinda gets on its knees and prays for death) but at least a small+long map works.
My particular map I didn't get a spawn house, so I had to land in the ocean to survive, thus no torches. I usually ignore those anyway. My first priority is getting logs, as always, to make wooden pickaxes. From there, it's coal. Once I have plenty of torches, I look around for a nice bit of cliff, preferably one that has a "roof" to it, and mine a bit into it to get stone to build the walls of my new little house with. From there I start working on the foundation of the new wall-fort (which is really a meager building at best - but it was linked to an entire cave system! That was obviously torched as well.) By now it's usually sunset, so I wait out the lighting transition and dig around inside the cave a bit since it's far more secure than any other option I'd have at the time. Hit a nice vein of iron, mine as much of it as possible, and then re-surface to my house in time to start smelting it before morning comes around, so I'll have an iron sword to take care of the creepers/spiders left around.
On day 2, I usually prioritize to get sand for glass - I change all my walls from stone to glass so I can properly see any threats from either side of my house. While hunting sand I also get a bit of flint to make firestarters, and keep an eye out for exposed coal for more torches to line around my little cave-house so threats can't spawn right next to me. Once the night rolls around I re-seal my house and go dig further into my mine in search of gold and diamond, gold for Fancypants (tm) and diamond for a sword to smite everything ever with. That and get into EPIC BOSS FIGHTS with lava caves.
Day 3 onwards I just get into a loop of exploring the surface for wood/surface resources/pigs/farming during the day and digging deeper into the cave once the night rolls around.. before getting lost and finding all kinds of resources down there. Six diamonds in one area, hooray! Eventually surface, etc. Loops, but it's somehow fun.
I must say I'm really happy with my map, and I'm glad I just got it over with and made the transition from Peaceful to Normal. You've not really lived until you've had a creeper land on you from above and explode on your head.
This could be interesting if and ONLY if it was a size selection option and not mandatory.
Like. You know. Small - Normal - Huge - Infinite.
That way the people that would enjoy it can go for it and have their infinite maps, and people that run MP servers for just a few bros won't have to deal with infinite maps nom nom nomming on their CPU if they don't want to deal with them. Sure people do those like.. what are they, 512x512x256 maps but still, that's finite.
But at least in an infinite setup you can't run out of space. Could probably lead to extraordinarily massive structures being built. And those are always nice to see.
woah people you post way too fast five posts while i was typing this wtfffffff
The administration should at least send a normal mass PM when this is done letting us know when it's safe to turn on getting PMs again. You guys make lurking too difficult at times. >:
We don't operate like Ragnarok Online, LKA. There isn't a "clan fandom" here either, which means that you just want us to copy an aspect of that game for the sake of whatever you want. No can do.
ps
i was joking
i highly doubt this could ever "evolve" into a thing like WoE unless a few thousand million lua mods were made but really who would do that
(and to be frank i never bothered with WoE in the first place since I consider PVP to be a joke within itself)

but yea the game doesnt like them yet (although watching them stutter was hilarious)

best teams are the ones that don't try to bring attention to themselvesat what point do we get to start breaking each other's emperiums
if there's no emperiums then this clan fandom is highly flawed and should either be stopped or had emperiums added asap

"here’s me killing some spiders with the damage turned down."
If you have to turn down the damage to show them in action, I think that says something about your enemy.
