First
The use of Notch Apples was intentionally avoided, as their mass is arguable - one group claims that the mass of the apples is equal to that of the ingredients - 8 gold blocks and an apple. However, the other group claims that the gold is used up in the creation of the apple in some way - supported by the semi-magical nature of the apple, and the fact that it is still edible.[1] -

Quit insulting people because they have different opinions than you. I know very well what Java is and how it works, and I don't think you even know any Java... -

I guess you are not a linux user?... I mean if you were, I would expect that you knew minecraft is written in the platform-independent language java. This means Minecraft can run on any operating system that is compatible with java. Including Windows, OS X AND Linux. If its made for one computer platform its made for them all.
Thank you, Captain Obvious. And yes, I am a Linux professional.

Android != Linux. When they said iOS and Android, they meant Pocket Edition. -

If you've paid any attention to what Microsoft is doing these days, you'd know that they aren't a Windows-only company any more. They aren't stupid - they know that minecraft is a success because it's everywhere. They aren't going to kill it by trying to make it Windows-only.
Maybe not this week...... -

At Microsoft, we believe in the power of content to unite people. Minecraft adds diversity to our game portfolio and helps us reach new gamers across multiple platforms. Gaming is the top activity across devices and we see great potential to continue to grow the Minecraft community and nurture the franchise. That is why we plan to continue to make Minecraft available across platforms – including iOS, Android and PlayStation, in addition to Xbox and PC.

Remember when google decided to make money and offered what i think is two billion dollars. Remember when youtube want it to take it back but it was TO DARN LATE!
Mojang, you probably wont read this reply but please listen, you have earned about a billion dollars all ready, simple math, and thats only thirteen million copys. Mojang, you are the leading game in the industry of worldwide gaming, everyone supports you. Microsoft is a software company and probably will ruin minecraft, remeber humble beginings. Whare you were happy with a few mc copys, which is a million dollars. And here we are, microsoft being a selfish RAT and you deciding if you should join them. Mojang, this is your choice, and what other people say dosnt reallly matter, but once you make this life changing choice, its gone. Minecraft is gone. There are peope all over the world who spend 6 or more hours playing this game, and sure microsoft has more. Dont get me wrong,is a good software developer, thank you for windows 8. But microsoft is not very good in the gaming community. Mojang, you are the strongest in the gaming community, and if someone trys to take your beauitifuly coded game then you fight back mojang, you listen. Dont let microsoft end your game. Fight back, i support you, and millions of other people do. Mojang fight back, dont do the same the youtubers did. Mojang fight back, yes you do have the power.
Dont end up doing the mistake youtube did
Did you just thank Microsoft for creating Windows 8?? You should have sued them! -
