Hello all, I'm in need for a server to play on, as SMP is much more fun than SSP (IMO)
Here is what I ask for
-I'm looking for a server with really open/mature people on it.
-Must be 1.8
-I don't mind if its RPG, Survival, or Plain old freebuild, just no "pvp/greif" servers.
-If its an RP Server, I have to be able to make my character
-It needs to have some activity on it during the later part of the day, but not where its like over 10-20 people at a time. (I'm willing to try new servers as well)
-No Hamachi

A.) No flying at all, sick of having to get a mod to compete with others in PVP or non-PVP servers.
B.) X-ray not functional, at all. I don't mind it so much with PVP off except for griefers, since it forces me to log out with items on me rather then leaving a supply for my buddies to use. But I don't feel someone should beable to horde all the resources in the area by using this mod and ruins the entire point of playing "survival"
C.) Fairly large server or at least has 5+ open slots at all times, if it's gonna be full often I most likely won't play it unless it is honestly worth playing.
D.) No "free" items (building mats or otherwise) outside of maybe wood and stone as you can make those yourself unless you're a herp derp.
E.) Sticks to ONE MAP to the best of their ability or at least has a MotD stating if the map will change in the near feature to avoid doing any huge projects.
That's pretty much it, outside of that I'd be looking for a PVP server since you can defend yourself for the most part from griefers and it makes it quite easily to keep people out of your territory if required.
If it's a non-PVP server I'd like to find a server with chest locks and no-grief mods... since sadly I can't be on every single day to watch on my stuff and that's generally when someone tries to steal/destroy something. Or at least lava being off, I hate playing "ring around the derper" with a bucket of lava to either get my stuff back or keep them away from my stuff with their bucket.
Also I plan to at least bring 5+ players with me, one of which uses X-ray which pisses me off since it ruins our fun. Since we'll be exploring stuff, he'll run off, grab diamond/iron he finds, and then acts like we should be glad he did it even tho it totally ruins the point of exploring the game.

You ARE right about the wiring being a bit easy to find. I looked up a transmitter on here a few days ago that uses pistons and repeaters to make a pulse through only one wire. As far as I know, the guy who made it didn't make a tutorial, and the wiring is very complex. If any of you redstone engineers that are better than me can implement something like that while maintaining the chat options, I would be really grateful. That would make it much harder to find.
I'll hapily let you on my server and show you the inner workings of my transmitter/decoder duo, wich is also the most compact ever built to my knowledge.
Correction, it's "How to transmit a redstone signal with style" XD. Anyway, it's really just redstone torches lighting up to signify something, so yes, it is incredibly simple, but then why didn't anyone think of this before?
I looked at your system further and found one major drawback that might indicate my system is maybe more like "internet".
You can't adress a signal to a certain adress and everyone connected will get the message... Not sure if that's so good.
Mine however can adress particular decoders (people / houses) to then start outputting a message (binary / morse or wtv you want to call it) .
All of that said, your system is damn nice monument of redstone creativity and genius. I applaud you fellow redstoner
