where'd u get 3.4 mb from?the actual size of a pocket edition world is about 21mb, and im pretty sure 3000 x 3000 is too big for a phone to handle
It's true, PE worlds are about 21 mb each, so a 3000x3000 world would be about 3.024 gb. That said, I don't even make worlds that big on the desktop version, and I still wouldn't mind having huge worlds if that were the case.
Tile Entities are handled in a way similar to the desktop edition:
each tile entity has an NBT tag in the entities.dat that specifies its x, y, and z coordinates. The game looks through the entities.dat to match the block to its corresponding tile entity. http://www.minecraft...on_level_format http://www.minecraft...e_Entity_Format
Ok, thanks 500ISE I think I'm ready to begin the code!
my title changed right when i made this post from something amazing just to carpenter.
and it would be nice if the nametag mod could be updated because i always had it patched 24/7 because it was the most helpful of all.
Please darkfurry5! This and smooth lighting, I'll bake you a cake!
By location. if you put a foreign entities.dat with sign text wherever the sign was for that entity there will be a floating wall sign with the text. at least it used to be that was i havnt checked since 0.5.0
oops sorry i thought you said signs chest contents are also stored by location of the chest block
So I've been doing something involving the chunks.dat of PE's worlds, but there's one thing I don't understand (reading this great wiki page); I don't get how data like chest contents and sign text is stored. Through what I read (probably wrong on my part ) there is a big-endian section in each chunk, and each byte in this section represents two blocks. I don't understand how block data could fit in half a byte
If anyone could help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated!
