You can't take anyone else's matches. However, with your own matches, you can do whatever you want with them. You can:

- Light yourself on fire.
- Light someone else on fire.
- Use them for a different purpose.

You can't hide your matches because nobody can take them anyway.

A mod would be nice, but creeper saddles would be pointless in Minecraft.

I don't think they'd ruin the game. It might be fun to see. But Notch has better things to do than program creeper saddles.

I agree with you. Admins should only have one command: The ban command. I believe that griefing is the only thing that should get you banned, and should only be used rarely. Most SMP servers are just museums because everything is off limit.
