How about actually putting information in the thread instead. You're trying to make a suggestion yet aren't putting any effort into elaboration apart from "google it."

It would be neat? You never said why it would be neat.

Without even touching upon this idea based upon what is written why would I support it?

posted a message on Iron Vs Diamond
I go with diamond. Iron tools break too fast for my liking and I never find myself running out of diamonds.

As for armor either iron or diamond is fine. Last server I played on I used iron but like I said earlier I never ran out of diamonds. I don't use diamond blocks for decoration so I have plenty to spare for armor.

So the middleground I see is diamond tools, iron armor. If you have plenty of diamonds to spare you can make diamond armor too if that's what you want.

Furthermore there's villager trading if you get into that.

Read the section's description at least before posting.

Once you do, elaborate more on it as a simple sentence really isn't much of a suggestion.

Well the easiest method would be to just have someone send you their clean 1.5.1 jar. The other option being you search for one on your own. I don't know much about the new launcher but if that is or gets a release one would be able to switch between any version they want.

I will not be providing a source for either on this forum even if we're all legitimate MC users.

says I have 1.5.2 and you guys are 1.5.1, have been waiting all day to be accepted and finally I am. But, now I can't play with you guys because the server is out of date :(

Getting your jar back to 1.5.1 if only temporarily isn't too hard. I've made it a personal habit to not update immediately since I play almost exclusively on multiplayer servers. I speak from experience as I've done the same thing back when I think 1.3.2 came out (or whichever required books to need leather).

posted a message on Have You Ever Actually Built A Beacon
I had five on the last server I played on. On my current server that's barely been open over a week I have one, which I think by a narrow margin was the first on the server. Getting enough iron for a max level beacon isn't too hard but it does take a bit of dedication, especially without an iron farm.

posted a message on Knocked Back by this enchant...
I lucked out on my last diamond sword enchant and got looting III only.

I suppose that makes up for my karma of getting bane of arthropods, every, single, time. I had seven of those things on my last server, three on current. I even combined the first two and re-enchanted them (aka the third one) and it still got bane.

Once I get to the point of mass book enchanting there's zero reason to enchant swords directly. I also loathe the knockback enchant. People say it's good for creepers but I fight them very well and have no need for such a thing. I use swords to kill things not hit them back only to have to walk forward to keep hitting them.

posted a message on At what point are you no longer a noob?
For me it's how much of the crafting recipes I memorized (almost everything), know all fundamental basics to the game (how most or all farms work), have intermediate level redstone knowledge (at least be able to construct semi-automatic mechanisms), and I forget what else I'd consider.

At least until I feel confident in my own knowledge of the game.

I do not want to forget what I know. Learning redstone is different for each person and while I know a lot now I am still not a master of it. Minecraft has limited content, but the possibilities are ENDLESS.

Starting over would be too much. Just savor your noob days/moments.

posted a message on I WANT MY DIRT BACK
I have a lot of double chests devoted to things for this very reason.

Sooner or later you may be using these materials. Current server I play on I have at least 13 double chests of dirt and/or grass blocks alone.

You can thank Mojang for making books require leather (which actually makes sense).

posted a message on You just fell in lava and died. What do you do?
I've had at least two lava dives since I started on the server I play on a few months ago. One was a legitimate creeper based death (I was on hollow ground and lava was underneath) while the other was plain stupidity of walking off of a nether fortress bridge backwards (didn't want that wither skeleton to fall off now!).

I just suck it up and move on. Now I always carry a potion of fire resistance wherever I go. I have survived future lava baths into the nether since I just eat my potion and swim to the nearest netherrack.

What constitutes as a natural death, and what doesn't?

*shrug* Maybe the difference of attempting to die vs trying to not die and dying anyway. That's my take on it.
