Besides, trading was nerfed in the recent snapshot. Sometimes you're required to trade two things for what they're selling. All it shows is that trading is not a viable option to get diamonds.

His point of trading being overpowered is still invalidated by the fact that diamonds are much simpler to get by mining and not by trading.

I was just saying that Dominator point was entirely false.

Diamonds are IMPOSSIBLE to get from trading. You can only get diamond armor and tools.

Which prove his point even more.

I hope you know that the chance of emerald WHEN COMPARED TO DIAMOND is 1/40. That means that for every FORTY DIAMONDS you get ONE EMERALD. Not to mention they are only found in ONE BIOME.
    Sorry, your point is invalid.

You can get plenty of emeralds from villager trades.
Sorry but his point isn't invalid.

They could make it so you get XP just from mining. I believe it's possible for the game to detect if a block is natural or placed. They could make it so you only get XP from natural blocks.

Or on the other way, just get xp when smelting iron and gold ore only.
    Both work.

Because lag has always been an issue and will never go away.
The SSP lag is a bug that is top-priority to fix.

Actually, game crashing bugs and bugs that make loss of data are in the top priority.

Yeah, I know, and the CDC said that there is no disease that causes undead.

BUT WHAT ALWAYS HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER THEY SAY THAT!?

loljk, I doubt anything is going to happen.

I would be really afraid if a big box of that drug would enter my country...

Actually, it might not be too far off. Have you heard of the recent canibal events on the East Coast? There was also a hazmat scare or two in the areas that they happened in.

But that's because of PCP, not zombie virus/plague. : p

I cant imagine just what Jeb was thinking when putting this in like this, unless these really are just placeholder numbers until he gets it all figured out.

    Simple:
-Make it a bit more random to get enchants like fortune III, Sharpness V ect.
-He want to know if it too much random.
-Make levels easy to get on purpose in snapshot which is for testing purposes.
-People on reddit then put post like "I enchanted 20 picks and I got X picks with Y enchants and I got X picks with Z enchants."
-People on reddit say " Enchant Z is a bit rarer, but since level cap is 30, fair enough."
-Jeb/bukkit team collect easy user data via reddit threads.
    -Balancing next snapshot.

The Reddit thread opened so that people could say the differences and bugs between what used to be SSP, and the merged SSP-SMP client gave me hope that Mojang may actually look into the posts there and fix said bugs, but the fact that they released snapshot after snapshot after the "merge" with the same lag and bug problems (even though lag shouldn't even exist in a local host), makes me think that they probably aren't even trying to fix those for 1.3.

Actually, multiple bugs are fixed each snapshot. Do you want the list of bugs fixed?

Also about lag: I couldn't even play the snapshots 3 weeks ago, now I can due to less "multiplayer" lag.

    Quote from Geartooth

I am getting extremely frustrated that every world I play on my SSP Minecraft now, I get SMP lag shoved down my throat. Now I'm starting to see blocks never dropping items, mobs with no hitboxes, and when I start a new world-

I get a MASSIVE Chunk error that either throws me into the void, or creates a vertical wall of nothingness about 6 blocks away from my spawn point.

I try to /kill to get back to my spawn, and commands stop working almost the instantly I take a step or fall one block.

I feel hopeless right now, It must have been something in the discrete "Slight changes to the terrain code"
and the "Improved SSP/SMP Connected" additions.

It's starting to become harder to believe Mojang when they say "trying their hardest to not make snapshots wreck the game"

I play the latest snapshot I have none of that.

ITT: People got different minecraft lag issues because of different computers.

The point of this merge is to make modding easier since you don't have to make the mod work on both SMP AND SSP, it's all in one. That is the reason, my friend. Mojang is still working out the bugs, hence shapshot.

Also when they fix a bug in singleplayer, it is fixed in multiplayer too at the same time and vice versa.

Actually, coal does not give that much xp, it's the fact that you only need 17 xp to get a level.

-For comparison, a blaze give 10 xp.
-A normal mob give 5 xp.
-The bottle of enchanting give 3-11 xp each.
-While a single block of ore give less xp than each of the above, but they come in veins.

The problem is that each of these give you level too fast because the amount of xp needed in order to level up is so very little.

EDIT: I read the other post and I agree that the older system was a chore. However I think we went to "It's to boring" to "It's Boring I have too much of the stuff"
