Actually, the command F3 + H enables advanced tooltips which displays an item durability when you hover it. I don't know if it is what you want?

If the datapack you talk about is one that works on multiplayer, yes.

Ooh my bad. I didn't know you were put in Spectator mode when dying on a hardcore server.

    Thanks for the lesson.

    Okay.

Well, it requires a little bit of work but what you are talking about is not so hard to do.

Are you knew to command blocks or have you already practiced many times? I have a way to do what you want in mind but I would like to know your position before proceeding.

posted a message on Run command for scoreboard change

Oh yeah I didn't specify that, sorry. You are supposed to chain the command blocks together. Put the first command into a repeating command block. Then, put the next two commands in chain command blocks.

I have attached an image of what is supposed to look like.

Don't forget to set all three to Always Active.

Whenever you die, <your_command> should be executed.

You could also go for a function if you prefer.

Woops, my bad. The image I included has the last command block set to conditional. This is a mistake, please disable conditional mode for all of them.

You mean the exact value or just the bar?

I am sorry that I fail to get exactly what you want...

posted a message on Make a command to detect a FALLING BLOCK !!!

Hi, I believe this can be done using the execute command :

    execute as @e[type=minecraft:falling_block,tag=!block_present] positioned -8 8 16 run scoreboard players add <your_player> <your_scoreboard_objective> 50
    execute as @e[type=minecraft:falling_block,tag=!block_present] positioned -8 8 16 run tag @s add block_pres

Now that I think about it, my solution works with any block you spawn. I think it would be wiser to give another custom tag to your falling wool so that only this type of falling_sand is being targeted.

posted a message on Run command for scoreboard change

So if I understand correctly, your goal here is to detect whenever a player dies.

The problem being that you can't detect when a score changes naturally, you have to cheat a little.

I have found a way to do that by using the health system of a player.

Here is a system that seems to be working :

    execute as @a[scores={life=0},tag=!just_died] run <your_command>
execute as @a[scores={life=0},tag=!just_died] run tag @s add just_died
execute as @a[scores={life=1..},tag=just_died] run tag @s remove just_died

The first command will allow you to execute <your_command> whenever a player dies.

The second one will add a custom tag to that player to force the first command to run only once.

The third and final command will remove the custom tag when the player respawns.

    Hope that helps!

What is the problem with resorting to the unbreakable tag?

Why would you want the durability bar to appear?

    Why not remove hardcore mode?

I am not sure if command blocks have enough power to cancel a player's ban from a death in hardcore mode :/

That is indeed a good idea. The only problem here is that my Zombie will not be able to wear a cool hat anymore :( !

I think it is doable to only place a button on the zombies who are not wearing any thing though...

posted a message on [Datapack Request] spectatormode toggle reminds position

Okay, well, this is a little tricky to do, I think.

The complicated thing is to remember the position the player was at. It would be much easier and cleaner if you were making your own plugin instead.

It is possible using command blocks though.

My idea would be to spawn an invisible armor stand at the initial position of the player, that will act as the return point when the player has finished using spectator mode. The new problem that rises is to teleport the player to that exact armor stand and not the armor stand of another player who is currently venturing in spectator mode.

This can work if your server uses a whitelist. Because since you know all the players that can connect, you can tweak the settings of your system depending on the player using the command. This solution is far from being the sexiest. There may be a clever way to do this using command blocks but I am out of ideas on the question. If anyone has a way to do that efficiently, please enlighten me ;)

I would still recommend you to code a plugin if you know the Java programming language. It is really easy to do using that.

posted a message on Execute Command with Custom Named Ravager

Well, I haven't used the /testfor command for a long time now...

You can do it with /effect only though.

    If you do this :

    /effect give @e[type=ravager,name="Pursuer Demon"] <your_effect>

I assume this command block is being set on repeat, which means the command will always run.

If you want the mob to have the effect for his entire lifespan, you can just set the duration to 1 or 2 seconds and as it will be spammed 20 times a second, you will be certain that your mob has the effects.

    Hope that helps.
