Well, I was creating my mod but there is an error that MPC don't register D:
mod_Gaiacraft:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class mod_Gaiacraft extends BaseMod
{
public static Block Mud = new BlockMud(400, 0).setHardness(7.0F).setResistance(5.0F).setBlockName("Mud");
public static Item Mudball = new Item(401).setItemName("Mudball");
public String Version()
{
return "1.7.3";
}
public mod_Gaiacraft()
{
ModLoader.RegisterBlock(Mud);
Mud.blockIndexInTexture = ModLoader.addOverride("/terrain.png", "/Gaiacraft/Blocks/Mud.png");
Mudball.iconIndex = ModLoader.addOverride("/gui/items.png", "/Gaiacraft/Items/Mudball.png");
ModLoader.AddName(Mud, "Mud");
ModLoader.AddName(Mudball, "Mudball");
}
}
BlockMud:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class BlockMud extends Block
{
protected BlockMud(int i, int j)
{
super(i, j, Material.ground);
}
public int idDropped(int i, Random random)
{
return mod_Gaiacraft.Mudball.shiftedIndex;
}
public int quantityDropped(Random random)
{
return 4;
}
}
ItemMudball:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class ItemMudball extends Item
{
public ItemMudball (int i)
{
super(i);
maxStackSize = (64);
}
}
Well, I had created my first mod. Only put one block, then I put everything in minecraft.jar, but opening Minecraft, I can not ;S
First appears the mojang logo, then get a java report a hundredth of a second and then goes black screen. I'm sure have installed ModLoader, delete META-INF and add the folder with the texture of the block along with their corresponding 2 files converted with MCP. My minecraft.jar is clean of mods.
These are the 2 files:
BlockMud:
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class BlockMud extends Block
{
public BlockMud(int i, int j)
{
super(i, j, Material.ground);
}
public int idDropped(int i, Random random)
{
return mod_Mud.Mud.blockID;
}
}
mod_Mud
package net.minecraft.src;
import java.util.Random;
public class mod_Mud extends BaseMod
{
public mod_Mud()
{
ModLoader.RegisterBlock(Mud);
ModLoader.AddName(Mud, "Mud");
}
public static Block Mud;
static
{
Mud = new BlockMud(200, ModLoader.addOverride("/terrain.png","/Terracraft/Blocks/Mud.png")).setHardness(0.7F).setResistance(5.0F).setBlockName("Mud");
}
public String Version()
{
return "1.7.3";
}
}
Let me know if there is an error here, if any, please let me know.
Sorry for the bad spelling, I speak spanish and and makes it hard create mods xD
Please, for the love of god, either tell me what I'm doing wrong, fill me in on whatever compatibility issue is happening with 1.7 (if there is one), or fix modloader!!
This is now my third error report on the same problem. Modloader is crashing minecraft. And looking at the other posts, I can see that this is an epidemic problem.
I am not a noob. I've been modding extensively with modloader ever since 1.3. I know the drill, and have installed modloader and various other mods several dozen times over.
What I've been doing:
-Download modloader 1.7.3
-Delete previous jar file, download a clean one (1.7.3)
-Open up the jar with 7-zip
-Delete meta-inf
-Open modloader with 7-zip
-Copy and paste all the files from the modloader zip into the jar file
-Close the jar
-Run minecraft.
I've been testing this over and over again with just modloader, and every time I get a black screen. I've tried taking a screenshot of the error report, but every time I do the image just shows a black screen sans writing. (and the report disappears too quickly to copy and past the text)
Again, I've done this song and dance too many times to count in the past. Has some new compatibility issue come up with the 1.7 update that causes modloader not to work for some computers? (I have a PC, not a mac)
I really want to download Aether and mo creatures, but I can't until modloader works. Please either tell me what's going on or fix modloader!!
I support you!
It happens exactly the same. I tried to load my first mod created and thought I had configured wrong.
