You can contact me here or on our discord server. Support is limited at the moment but if there is anything I can help with I will try.
I cannot help with accounts affected by the Fandom data transfer as there is no way I could personally verify any details on these accounts.

This is not something we have forgotten about. With the closing and then "reopening" of the forum we've not had time to look at this issue. Right now the focus is transitioning owners and things on the backend of the website which I'm not personally apart of/have much knowledge on so I can't really say much.
We are looking into ways, but please bear with us as we continue to find a solution. We are hoping to provide better support moving forward.

You can reclaim your nickname by following the steps in this thread:

That is correct. The section labeled as "Minecraft" is the version that is covered on Microsoft's Windows Store.

I want to know if I can make a wishlist putting minor additions that would make minecraft a better game. It will be fairly long depending on the time I have. I'm asking you guys for permission because I'm not allowed to make wishlists and want your permission before I break a rule. Reply your answer.
This is a late reply but your question answered itself. We do not allow wishlists in our suggestion sections. The reason we do not allow wishlists is to keep discussions for ideas coherent instead of having multiple people having different discussions for each idea in the same thread.

If you have issues or suggestions for the Minecraft Forum, please create a thread in the Forum Discussion & Info section.
If you have issues with features included in Minecraft or any other Editions and want to notify Mojang, you can use their Feedback website here of if you are requiring support you can create a thread in the Support section for the platform you are playing on.
If you have issues with Microsoft and their support, you can use their Feedback Hub app to notify them of any problems or make suggestions. If you must make a topic, you could create a topic in the General Off Topic section as well.
This section is for discussing the Minecraft game that is cross-platform. You can discuss its mechanics, ideas, your worlds, the mobs, general questions that aren't necessarily technical support, and anything to do in the actual game in this section.

He did answer that though,
The forum will become the equivalent of what the forum is today when a user is logged out, meaning any restricted content -- including content deleted during the transfer of ownership that happened at the start of this year -- will not be available.
This means that if it is unavailable now, it will remain unavailable when the site is read-only.

Ikr, they should work on 1.8, and THEN work on other things.
Mojang does not develop the console versions of the game. 4J Studios develops the game for all the consoles, while Mojang works on PE and PC versions of the game. Neither or the two hinder the other in development. 1.8 has nothing to due with this as it's two completely different development teams.

4J Studios has made no mention of features for TU17. Where did you see confirmation of horses?
"For the XBox in particular, TU17 promises, among other things, horses in the pending update. Things like the Wither and Hopper have both been teased, but not confirmed for a specific version yet."
They didn't say horses were in TU17. They are saying all the above haven't been confirmed.
Horses are confirmed for a future update though.

I don't find it stupid, but useful. It makes something more visible instead of clicking on a user's profile to see if they are online or not.Quote from IncubiLord
... And it is stupid to have. Such an indicator only encourages chat-board behavior on a site intended to have a slower, better-formatted and more-considered, post-rate. Hurry up and get a response to this posted while I'm online - though I'll probably not notice the response and log off without seeing it anyways...
In the platforms sections, being able to tell if a user who is hosting their world is online or not easily is a major plus when looking through servers or games to join.
I personally don't see how making your status visible on forum posts is going to encourage "chat boards". People were already able to, and will be able to still, get notifications when someone replies to you, or a topic you follow. I see no difference in posting habits. There is an option to turn off the indicator,
You're entitled to your opinion though. If you don't like something, or have your own suggestion be sure to let the developers know on the beta forum.

If you do not set your profile to "Invisible", the "green dot" is an indicator of who is online.Quote from BrokenEye
I'm sorry, could you rephrase that, because I'm not entirely sure what you mean? Does it tell me whether whichever user who's post I'm currently looking at is online, or just whether I'm online?
Checking the "Invisible?" box under preferences in your profile removes the green dot from your avatar all together.
I'd rather see maybe under our avatars if we are online or not, but I guess a green dot is okay for now. I gave my own feedback on it a few moments ago before replying.

It's an indicator saying you're online.Quote from BrokenEye
and there's this weird, useless little button green dot in the corner of the avatar picture that doesn't appear to actually do anything besides look horribly out of place.
Oct 6, 2013I was first introduced to Minecraft when my friend asked me to get on his spare account to "troll" another friend of mine. I wasn't allowed to talk, but I was allowed to build.Posted in: News
I did talk to the two friends in skype at the time, and the other guy was so excited when he thought his one "friend" had logged on. He wasn't upset at all later to find out it was me, but payback wasn't far behind.
So up until that point. It was day...there were fences around the perimeter of what I think people would call a house. Night fell, and off in the distance I spotted my first creeper.
So...the one friend I trolled earlier told me to go up to it, that it was friendly like sheep and cows. So I did...let's see that was my first attempt at giving a creeper a hug...
~ * ~
So my first solo night with my new account...It was before the main release when there were pre-releases with enchanting, animal breeding, and potions. I made my first dirt shelter my first day, because I long knew what was coming at night, but I had left my dirt home shortly before night with a goal to collect wood.
Night fell...and I was lost! I had no sense of direction and ran in what seemed to be the only direction I knew. Spiders...zombies...skeletons chasing me...I ran to my heart's content until I came to the river. I remembered my home was next to a river...and I thought I was saved until I realized...my home was no where in sight. I jumped into the water...and heart attack ensued...
I fell through the water into a underground cave! I escaped death only by an inch when a startled creeper came up behind me. I knocked him a way and dove to the closes wall, sheilding me from most of the destruction. Down to a few hearts...no food...I was in trouble.
I dug myself into the wall and watched the moon overhead from what little light I had from that one wide gap below the river's surface. Day broke...sadden that I had lost my home...but the cave around me was safe enough once I had laid a few torches down...this became the start of my new base...
It wasn't months later that I had found my dirt home...from the river I found my cave in...if I only had followed it to the right maybe a short 20 to 30 blocks...I would have been home...but then...I would have never found my new base which grew to my home in the end.
Nov 24, 2011The fan-bases for both of these arguments seems a tad bit immature. Feels like I'm reading a Stars weekly magazine or something...Posted in: News
Regardless of how this whole thing feels... I believe notch shouldn't have said what he said. I feel inclined to believe Notch was stressed and tired from the weekend. I also believe he is sorry, he may not have came out and said those words, but from his twitter post, I can slightly pick up on it.
As for the Yogscast, I'm not a big fan of there's...but am I going to label them as the bad guy who deserves to have there website dossed or what ever it is called? No. The fan bases both jumped the gun and attacked one another. When did two people's arguments become everyone's arguments? Granted this all started with a twitter post from Notch, but regardless...this mess needs to be handled by Yogscast and Notch alone, not by a witch hunt that seems to exist on both sides going after one another.
I say chill out...this argument doesn't involve us.
