Assuming I feel better by Saturday, I'd like to sign up for the spleef tournament! Even if I'm still sick, I'll probably drag myself out of bed for it.
I'd like to say that it has been an honor playing with each and every one of you. The hundreds of hours that I spent on KS servers will not go forgotten. They will live on in the memories that we made. Maybe not in our builds, or projects. But in the friends we made along the way. It's been nice to be given the chance to get to know some of you, and to play with all of you. Keystone will be missed, but it should not be mourned. It was built from the ashes of a past server, and now it is time for the same to happen to Keystone. While I don't think I'll be playing much Minecraft after this, I still hope to see you all around.
If you'd like to stay in touch with me, my twitter is @kingphilip42, my xbox gamertag is Kingphilip109, my skype name is Kingphilip42, my Steam name is Kingphilip42 (NOT Kingphilip42 IDLING, look for The Hero This Server Deserves) and my 3DS friend code is 0559-6856-2678
I know there are many of you that I will never see again, and to those I say good bye, it's been fun. But I hope to hear from you all soon.
For those of you interested in investing, or being invested in, go to /warp stock and message me.
For those of you that have already invested, if you'd like to sell your shares now, message me. OR you can hold on to your shares and see if their value increases next week!
The first week of the Keystone Stock Market has come to a close! The new share values have been calculated, and it seems like there has been growth in every stock.
Mhakno used to be 100 keys, is now 149 keys (+49%)
Whippy_dip used to be 50 keys, is now 90 keys (+81%)
Kingphilip42 used to be 100 keys, is now 242 keys (+242%)
Snipelax used to be 100 keys, is now 189 keys (+89%)
For those of you interested in investing, or being invested in, go to /warp stock and message me.
For those of you that invested last week, if you'd like to sell your shares now, message me. OR you can hold on to your shares and see if their value increases again next week!
Ban?......Ban..Are you for reals LOl you wan't something banned for calling you a jackass and being rude? That is just out of wack. Maybe a tempban not a ban I suppose we can Ban people who avoided the swear blocker once, A kick is not necessary let's ban them I have quite a list of who. xD
Don't worry, I did not ban him. I believe it was a two day tempban instead. I never just accept the ban length that somebody tells me to use. I use my own judgement.
What will be your method of changing cost of shares every week? Also, what will stop an Irish bankruptcy?
I've recorded how much each investment option had in their /money when I listed them. I'm basing the amount the cost increases by the % change in money per week. And until Demon recognizes potatoes as a forum of currency, I can't guarantee a way to stop an Irish bankruptcy.
I'd like to announce the opening of /warp stock market (or /warp stock for short). THE KEYSTONE STOCK MARKET!
The way this works is quite simple. Any Resident or up can list themselves in the stock market. The player does not need to own a store to be listed. They set the starting price of their stock. People can then invest into that person. I will take 30% of each investment as a service fee, but the rest goes to the stock owners. (for example, if somebody buys 200 shares at 60 keys per share, I keep 3,600 of the 12,000 they spent).
Every week I will be checking the stock owner's /money, and will raise or lower the cost of that person's shares based on how their money changed that week.
If a person wants to sell their shares, they contact me and I will tell the store owner how much they owe. I take another 30% service fee, and give the rest back to the shareholder. You do not need to sell all of your shares at once.
What happens if a store owner doesn't give the money? They will owe an extra 5% in keys for every 2 days that they are late on payments. However, buyers should still be careful to buy from players that are on frequently/are reliable.
If a stock owner goes bankrupt then all shares held by the buyers are voided. The owner owes nothing, and the shareholders get nothing. If you see a person going bankrupt, sell your shares to avoid this situation.
Current Investment options: Mhakno, Whippy_Dip, Kingphilip42, Snipelax
Could we then consider a "clean-up" as it was were certain people are elected to bring down buildings griefed by spawn points to enable these new players to build? I would jump at the chance to help in anyway I can.
Not a bad idea at all, really. We actually tried to do that with the original spawn, as some buildings around there were being ruined. Admins just world edited away some severely griefed homes, and then made flat land where they were.
I suppose that making people build farther away from the NSEW warps would create a longer circumference for the griefers to cover, but it would also make a lot of blank land that people couldn't build on. We want new players to be able to build when they leave spawn. The cost of building the moment you leave spawn is that everybody sees what you built, for better or worse.
Can I just raise a point about walking a bit away from warp points before building...
In the creative server, on World 1 East, there are loads of unprotected griefed plots that people will have to walk to before being able to build properly.
I'm not sure if this is happening at other points over the 2 worlds but if they can be either cleared or taken up as a warp town spawn point, they look bad for new people going through warp points.
No criticism, (I adore this server) but I'm saying this for the interest of new connecting players and existing residents.
Build on Keystone!!!
(Post Moved From Survival Forum)
There really isn't much we can do about that. Even if we made people build farther away from the NSEW warps, those would still be the most griefed buildings just because they are the first things that griefers see when they leave spawn. All that we can really do is to encourage people to get their buildings protected, and check those areas for grief.
My shop at /warp food is now open for business! I am buying and selling food such as wheat, bread, and melons in my shop and will be adding more goods if the shop becomes popular! Go check it out next time you're hungry, or have some food to sell!
Have something small that you need a res for? Cover it with signs. Blocks with signs on them can't be broken by other players. I know it makes your build look ugly, but it saves Keys.
completed it after a few hours or so, very hard i must say!,great challenge
I'm glad you liked it! This is actually the third ToP I've made, but the other two were on Raddafiskie. I plan on updating the current ToP with progress saving warps (so that you don't have to do it all at one time). I may also add more rooms if enough people like the current 5.
