    Highly doubt that it will. Keep in mind it will take a few months before an official minecraft 1.12 release is set and then another month or two further for forge to update. Considering that his current target is 1.10.2 with maybe a 1.11 release, it's highly unlikely he's going to change course.

    That would be my take on it anyways.

    My thoughts on the Eldritch Dimension...




    I have to say, I'm quite glad with how the Eldritch Dimension has turned out in Thaumcraft 5.

    The Auto caster constantly bombarding you with those seeking vis shards was an interesting surprise that nearly overwhelmed me the first time. Eventually, I figured out how to deal with them. I really like how the ancient stone now is a bit patterened, really adds a nice touch to the place.

    Also is it just me or does the place feel shorter and smaller than it did previously? Not that I mind of course. Also the area that seem to block out the light with air and holes was an interesting touch. Also new to the place was some lava pools and arcane spa which is nice to give yourself a break from warp. I might have to try and scoop some of that up later.

    All in all, I have to say the Eldritch Dimension is even more fun and intriguing than it was before with all sorts of new tricks up it's sleeves. Well worth the warp to get here that's for sure.

    So Eldritch Tab concerns/double checking...
    So I've been sitting here for a day getting various warp effects and have yet to unlock Eldritch Revelation so I can get going on going to the outer lands.
    Exactly how much warp does it take or how long should it take? Current warp levels I'm is this:


    I've also scanned an Eldritch Guardian that showed up but havne't seen anything new since then.

    That configuration works. Now, to try to get a better mapping mod, since Antique Atlas does not work with 1.8.9 LOL. It never ends...


    JourneyMap is 1.8.8 and works perfectly.

    JEI (Just Enough Items) would be a great replacement option to use in the mean time btw, as that's 1.8.9. It will provide you the item search and recipes.

    Simple. You must be playing Minecraft 1.8.9. That version of thaumcraft only works with 1.8.9, Not 1.8


    Also, I haven't seen a single 1.8 mod work with 1.8.8 or 1.8.9 but 1.8.8 mods seem to work with 1.8.9. Something to keep in mind and look out for. Also on the forge download site, if you hover over 1.8 a dropdown should pop up that will show you 1.8.8 and 1.8.9 so make sure you pick the 1.8.9 forge.

    Except the last one I cut down I got no saplings and the previous one only 1. The drop rate of saplings isn't that high >.> Especially combined with Biomes o' Plenty making silverwood trees sparse, and with a 15% chance of getting a pure node.


    I have yet to cut down a silverwood tree that gave me more than 2 saplings.

    Well I think my case was cause I was trying to adjust the configs and I changed the % chance that taint costs flux and misunderstood what that meant and changed that value to 0...

    Either that or flee to the nether. Although maybe that's a more mid game fix...

    Needless to say after my first diaster with taint due to underestimating the TH5 mechanics (I had 8 double chests of stuff I had to shuffle around far away as quickly as I could before the taint ate up my base). I've installed two bases. One in the Nether where I will put all the things that generate flux, and then my overworld stuff which I'll keep flux free.

    I probably could have setup my base around a pure node, but I wanted to be near the sinister node for easy access to an experience farm...maybe later on I'll build another station at a pure node when I'm in a better situation thaumcraft material wise.


    At least the grappler focus makes it easier to get around, particularly in the nether.
