    I cannot get the latest Optifine to run on Realms. I've reinstalled b2 1.8.1 Ultra three times now, thinking that would get it to bypass that compatibility check, but no dice.

    I take it there is no actual way to "open" Forge? Just drag and drop the mods into the Mod folder in my .minecraft folder?

    also, do all skin packs, texture packs, etc get installed the same way as well?

    Well, that does seem to answer how I got the bogus file with all the crap on it. I've downloaded mods before for other games that have something similar, but it doesn't have a "skip ad" pop up. it's always been a different download button that will show up.

    My next question is should I use the Installer, or Installer Win? what's the difference? the OP shows just the big red arrow pointing at Installer, and there's no Win version on that screen cap. I assume because it's an older version.

    I just got the PC version and was interested in mods so I checked here for help.

    1st off: The table of contents all pops up saying URL not found.

    2nd: When I tried to download forge via the directions on the first page, at the site listed, The program that installed was a random downloader that came loaded with Malware. I'm currently running Malwarebytes to get rid of 16 implications.

    One of the items that got bundled with the download, I couldn't even uninstall with the standard Windows Uninstaller. I ended up using Revo Pro to get rid of it.

    I'm curious, is any of this information accurate anymore, or did this section get compromised and was never noticed? I won't be clicking ANY links on this site until I can be assured this has all been checked.

    the thing with me is that I always leave my map in an item frame by my door so I can grab it if need be. I never carry an extra. Though, I think I might start doing that now if this is how to bypass the issue.

    The following bug has been in the game for quite sometime even after I reported it last year:

    When I load a save, any and all Maps inside of Item Frames do not show the revealed sections of map. I have to break each item frame that has a map in it, and put the map back in, in order to have it show the revealed parts of the map.

    I can see how this could of gotten buried to the bottom with all the other bugs, but it has been going on for quite some time now.

    Thought I'd bring something up, you mentioned 4 villages, but gave coordinates to 3. And I think it's the middle coordinate is not right.

    If I get back on tonight, I'll post the correct Village locations for you.

    I'm digging this texture pack. It will be my new default skin. The plastic was ok to mess with, but I had a hard time telling what was what in my inventory screen.

    I have noticed, that I keep overlooking Iron ore because there is hardly anything noticable to make you say, "oh, Iron over there!". Rest of it has been good for me.

    Maps that have been placed in the "item frames" on walls, are showing the whole map being unexplored, no matter how much you've explored.

    After you break the frame, and replace it with map inside, it is back to normal. But this has occured a couple times in the same game i've been in.

    posted a message on TU 12 Survival Island, no animals spawned so far
    Here is the seed number:

    4

    Yes, just the number 4.

    It looks like a typical survival island seed. But wait! You spawn in the ocean, and it takes a good Half day cycle to swim to land! At least if you go North, South, or West. If you head a bit to the East, you will see a Mushroom Biome.

    Features:

    3 Mushroom Biomes. With Mooshrooms.
    ~6 Oak trees.
    Tall Grass.
    NO Villages (obviously)
    Stronghold

    And that's all the natural occurences. The small islands sit around the outer edges of the map that have the trees. The larger island grouping is in the Northwest corner. These also have a few trees.

    I have not seen ANY animals spawn. No cow, chicken, pig, etc. Enemy Mobs will spawn. I've played through probably 6 day/night cycles. This is strange, so I packed up my base and moved to a Mushroom Island and captured some Mooshrooms so I can get steak and mushroom stew.

    Right around in the underground area of those Northwest islands, you'll run into a couple large Ravines that intersect with each other. Tons of Iron and Coal in the caves that come out of them.

    There is a Stronghold inside of one of the ravines. I forgot to write down the exact coordinates for it though.

    I'll update this with any special coordinates later. Enjoy, and please post if you have any luck with animals spawning!

    I know one thing, it's hard as hell to mine around on survival when you first use it. lol. I had to turn on all the tool tip hints, or whatever it was called to id the stuff in my quick bar.
