The problem with potion of harm, is most mobs are undead

Mobs also don't care about what people have in chests, or the ability to open doors to get to said chest activating the trap to spell certain doom.

Greedy Players, on the the other hand...

Indeed, splash potions have many subtle effects!

I think my favorite thing to do so far is to toss a Speed and Strength potions to my wolves and watch as they completely mow down anything that hates me.

Also, Fire Res on Snow Golems. WHAT.

You can do as I have done here:

By attaching a redstone torch to a block and giving said block power, you can create an inverter of sorts. Add another line on the opposite side, and you have a regular redstone wire.

Attach these lines to your desired pistons, and pull the trigger. You will have your Switch doors/stairs/etc. :iapprove:

(Sorry I can't help you with hiding the lines, but that's half the fun of redstone, and also my one weakness.)

don't mind the little dig holes infront of the redstone, i went a bit haywire. :3

posted a message on Slimming down my laboratory.
So lately I've been fooling around with Potions and Dispensers, and a few days ago I decided to set up a system of AND(?) gates that delivers specific ingredients based on input.

There are 6 levers on either side that switch on 12 dispensers containing all the necessary potion ingredients.

It seems to work out alright, even if a part of it seems largely unnecessary. (minecraft, anyone?)

The only issue I have with it is it's size. You see, I am a redstone baddie, and have little to no clue how to rig up even basic gates and all that junk. This thing alone took about 3 days to figure out, and now that its completed im not sure i'll be able to attach it to my house without stuffing it in another room deep underground.

There's two of these circuits on either side of the dispensers, and each circuit is 20x10.
There is also a second track underneath to act as the second latch for the AND(?) Gates.

Combine this with the space needed for my sexy cauldrons, brewing stands, and aesthetic 'wants', and i'm gonna be needing another diamond pickaxe to dig out all the space...and I am a very lazy person... :dry.gif:

Tl;Dr: How can I slim these Circuits up?

posted a message on enchantment tables will be a big target for stealing in PvP
Personally, I plan to rig my enchantment table up to a system that causes the room to explode when you attempt to touch my book.

Surely, the only way to survive will be to have enchantments on your armor, which will make stealing my enchanting table pointless as you already had access to your own enchanting table.

It'll be like a bad inception parody.

posted a message on Should Splash Potions Stack?
So, fiddling around with some potions right now. Got my 'Blocks' track goin', just sitting and waiting for my Instant Health II's to finish up, and it occurs to me...

"I ain't gonna have no room for all this..."

So I start thinking, "How much of a risk/reward would it be for these potions to stack?"

I mean, on one hand you have actual use of the debuff potions rather than waiting for that 'special moment', easier storing of large quantities, and if necessary you can slam home 3 health potions back to back to back without sacrificing space on the hotbar.

On the other hand, I could imagine PvP going haywire with all the instant damages and whatnot. It'd also seem to tip the scales back in the player's favor in single player, which seems to remove a big aspect of what people like. (see:endermen)

Anyways, thinking sucks for me, so I figured I'd drag my conundrum to the forums and see what other people think.

Oh hey, my potions are done...

I agree 100%. I've been playing with LEGIT armor enchantments as of late (Yup, I nolifed minecraft) and after GETTING LOST IN A LAVA LAKE, surviving the afterward fire, and then living with 3 hearts due to a creeper attack, I can safely say enchantments should be left alone.

Granted, I worked hard for those sets of armor, but imagine if I hadn't been stupid and swam in lava. Imagine if that was someone's trap set for thieves or whatever. I'd have been able to survive whatever he threw at me, and still would have managed to give him a decent fight afterwards.
