That is the same complaint as the lapis lazuli new texture complaint. OMG use texture packs if it so annoying you, or make/request your own one! Not that hard, isn't it?

I agree, the new controls are just a big pain in the ***. Mojang probably tried to impliment horse-PvP or something...

But yeah, I somehow agree the model is strange and the texture is strange, but it just did not ruin my game experience.
Well Technically, Its not the same complaint as a texture pack. The texture is easily changed and has absolutely no effect on gameplay. And acctual items may have a bigger effect, but you better not get me sucked into that conversation ^^ I don't think that the controls are that bad....

I'm probably just going to get one horse, and pimp it out. Or a mule.
I know. Me too. Get a mule, maybe make a mine just the right size for it, have a mining mule (What are those called again?) It seems that since there is no longer a crafting recipie for the saddles, having say, 15 horses would be more trouble then its worth. Just one or two would be nice. ^_^

These horses have poisoned the "Recent Updates and Snapshots" forum page. Can't people just talk about a different subject for a change? Complaining, debating and listing goods and bads about horses is not gonna help in anyway.
Once again, I apologize for the re-post. I realize that this isn't in everyones best interest, but it is nice to be collectively happy about new updates, not opposed.

come on, why do people have to always make posts about this???
I know. I admitted it. But mine is still a little different. I'm saying that horses stink or anything. I'm sorry for any annoyence or offence that I cause anyone. I was just hoping to be optomistic about this new update.

Baby horses do gradually grow in size, though, don't they? Unlike all other baby mobs, which just stay the one size (with huge heads) until they suddenly morph into an adult.
Ah, yes I stand corrected... I think... Sorry. I never let them grow slowly. I just feed them food, which does let them grow in stages. Hm. I shall have to try.

I don't have a problem with horses existing. I just won't use them.

My problem is with the GUI and control changes it caused. The "Shift to dismount" thing is unnecessary, as is being on a horse before you can feed it something (you could already dismount pigs without Shifting/feed pigs without mounting them, and horses are no different). I pretty much don't like seeing the horse's health at all, and it could have been done similar to how a dog's health is shown. The worst part is that these changes affect other things (i.e. "Shift to dismount" boats, and the hunger/Exp bars disappearing in a boat).

I also happen to think that the horse models are a bit too detailed for Minecraft (not the textures). They don't need jaws at all, and their legs being slightly wider than their body doesn't sit well with me. Baby horses and the way they grow up is also different to every other baby mob for no reason. Make everything consistent (one way or the other)!
I do agree that it has changed some things (I keep right clicking stuff until I realise, duh.) But speeding up a baby horses growth is optional. They acctually take 20 minutes to grow normally, just like other mobs.

I know that this has been posted and reposted and have had posts on the reposts of the posts, but this is a little different. I'm saying the GOOD things about horses (with one Little complaint ^-^)
    Horses are good transportation
Yes. Especially in places like hills and plains. Since horses can run up one ledges no problem, they are excellent for gentle slopes. They also run very fast and can jump super-high, making it fun and easy to ride (except in forests, but I'll complain about that later.)

Common Complaint: Horses don't fit into Minecraft
Well, by my opinion, neither do potions! (Don't bite me its just an example!) The thing is, is that Minecraft is a sandbox game. It has no boundries, no real time period, no real "theme." What one person considers the best addition to Minecraft ever, another may think that it is the worst item in existance and should never be used. The thing is, with Minecraft, you just gotta roll with it! ^-^ It's all a matter of opinion! And not matter what else you may think, you can ignore certain aspects of the game! Even mobs

And Yes. Liking horses is a good excuse to go enjoy yourself! It can be a challenge! Breeding the best and fastest horse! Riding around, jump over stuff for the fun of it! Horses are fun! I'm not trying to be condecending or say that you are all over reacting. (I did the same thing with the EnderDragon, and now I like it!) I just felt like horses were being underappreciated and needed a boost! Thank you!

So now for my little complaint. I love horses. I really do, but the ONE thing that would be to change is that horses are too wide. They are two blocks wide. That makes it very annoying to try to get horses through thin passageways (such as gaps between trees in forests) and moving around in doors. While I kind of get horses being wide, it would be wonderful if the Donkey and/or Mule's size could be changed to one block wide. Thank you for listening! =3

Related to this, the wiki says that raw pork attracts wolves, would this be useful for finding them or is there something I'm missing?[/quote]
