    Just to clarify most (i will not count all a few do fit ) of the mechwarrior games are not in fact cannon battletech. It is commonly considered an alternate time line at the very least. They use the same tech and characters but there is in fact a separation. The mechwarior timeline is not synchronous and the game makers have modified key events, simply because the studio decided to take a slightly different direction. This timeline separation is one of the driving forces behind the reboot movement. I will grant you that they are close but you could claim the same thing about robotech, or were you not aware that battletech had LAMs?
    I do personally enjoy the Mechwarrior games but I have a true passion for the battletech table top game. Hence why I personally could care less what direction you all plan to take I would still do anything possible to see your project succeed.


    I think we will be going more akin to the Mechwarrior 3/4 pc games or even the mechwarrior online. I myself preferred the newer versions with the more militaristic mechs rather than the anime esk ones they originally had. I want a mech to look like a warmachine not a pansy ass anime gundam.

    Yeah inside the facility there WERE tubes of plasma that flowed and looked liquid, and methane by either compression or being cooled to a point much like the gas you know as 'propane' can be changed into a liquid and even into a solid! (I dont know the precise numbers but its easy to look up if you want)

    I was just about to say that! But back to the plasma in the facility there were great conduits of plasma that transported it from manufacturing to storage(Likely similar to how fuel rods for nuclear power plants are constructed then transported)

    A plasma rifle is a terrible idea. Rifles spin their projectiles, with a plasma the centripetal force would make plasma's already short range even worse.

    Its called a plasma RIFLE because that is what the humans call it, And for all you know it may actually be a RIFLE by spinning the magnetic envelope in order to contain the plasma in question
    the other mods are DEAD so please actually read the OP before suggesting as such

    Wow this exploded whilst I was sleeping, to answer all of your questions.
    The 'batteries' are likely not charged at all.. Being a mass produced weapon when the charge is dead they simply get tossed to the side for a brand new identical weapon..
    But for the sake of the mod Why not have what ammounts to a battery charger powered by the plasma coil, the plasma coil simply 'running' off whatever matter you put inside until it burns through it much like a furnace.. Its actually a real life technology called 'Plasmifacation' or 'Plasma gasification' currently used to burn trash into energy so likely you can have a special 'ore' that burns the best so you can even still use your 'plasma ore' but simply calling it a fuel

    Just throwing this out there as a long-time player of halo and reader of the books.. And of science.. Plasma weapons work by encapsulating a superheated gas within an electromagnetic bubble (Real science here) so really there is no 'plasma' ore as plasma is a gas that is simply super-hot

    Are you sure you didn't leave out a couple of zeros there or something? That's a ridiculous amount of stuff to get from thirty blocks of stone. Honestly, that would be a pretty crazy amount to get from three hundred blocks of stone.
    I was more meaning you get random amounts of all of the above, those were just rough chances of what you could get More like you get a % of an ore per block thats random and when you have 100% of an ore you get an ingot or a dust or whathaveyou

    In all seriousness I think just due to how long itll take to mine enough materials to get your ship space-worthy some materials such as stone should be passed through an 'Extractor' To extract small bits of ore from stone,
    Say processing thirty blocks of stone would give approx:
    Ten Iron bars, Five Redstone. Five Gold bars, One diamond (With any added ores you intend to add)
    Or just give a random number generator to choose just what you get per stone or something, just to make it less annoying to get started..

    A Semi-complex bit of equipment similar to a 3d printer to be used in order to construct things so that you only need to take your time laying out your wires computers engines and whatnot.. otherwise you will spend all your time crafting parts rather than having fun building things~

    As far as Omnimechs go, they are a Clan-only tech, so that wouldn't work entirely. However, since customizable mechs are a necessity for the game, there would have to be some sort of benefit for Omnimechs vs conventional 'mechs that didn't take away the customizability of the conventional 'mechs. Perhaps a 'weapon mount' that is consumed after every refit?

    lets not forget that any mechbay worth its salt could would (sometimes halariously failing) at chopping up busted mechs and splicing them together.. Thats just my bit personally~

    I myself use a quad array of L lasers on a firefly with BAP AMS and MASC. Intended for hit and run sniping with if I remember right a top speed of 163kph. And I well intended to fire off every lazer at once in order for the highest damage..

    The only trouble with your suggestion is that E and Q are already bound to inventory and drop item, respectively. This would actually have the opposite effect that your trying for, as novice players would be used to those keys having their vanilla operation. I cannot count the number of times I've accidentally fallen to my death trying to open the inventory using flan's mod (exit plane is bound to E by default).

    However, if those keys were not already bound, I absolutely would have picked those you suggested.
