posted a message on Interested in skins for Custom NPCs mod

I'm trying to work on a sort of project for the Custom NPCs mod made by Noppes, and I'm having a hard time trying to find skins for it. While default player skins isn't a problem, trying to find skins for some of his custom models, such as his furry models and the beard model addon, are almost impossible to find. I'd try and make some myself but I'm honestly not that good at skinning. Does anyone know where I can find some skins I could use, or would anyone be willing to try making some?

Here's a quick link to the site - http://www.kodevelopment.nl/minecraft/customnpcs in case if anyone is interested...

Edit: Version 0.2 has been updated and is now live, be sure to send me any notifications on bugs you run across!

You have lived and worked as a ranch hand for Kybalt Ranch for the last ten years. In that time, you've grown up, and you've seen the ranch prosper. But despite the ranch's prosperity something dark is afoot in the land, and already Kybalt Ranch has felt its effects. The caravan meant to bring in this year's winter feed for the animals is months late, and as the dry summer turns everyone feels the pressure on as the missing caravan spells doom to the ranch.

John Kybalt, the current head of Kybalt Ranch, turns to you for aid. You are of age, and old enough to take on higher responsibilities. With everyone else's hands full prepping for winter and caring for the animals, you are the only one that they can turn to. You must head north to Old Castle Town and find the whereabouts of the caravan and, perhaps, seek assistance from the townsfolk.

Little do you, or anyone else, know of the darkness that is to come, and that you carry more than the ranch's fate upon your shoulders.

The Treasure of Kings is a work in progress title for an adventure map that I have been working on. This is an alpha version: Alpha 0.1 to be exact. This is an adventure map that heavily uses mods (but does not include them in their own modpack, so you need to manually install everything), and is a fantasy adventure that has an RPG-esque vibe. Among the mods this map includes CustomNPCs, Tinkers Construct, Mo' Creatures, Mine & Blade Battlegear, and many more. When it is finished the map will include up to 4 dungeons and is currently suitable to play with up to 2 players co-op, though it is just as easy to play Single Player.

This Alpha is released to the community for testing. Feel free to post any map-related (but not mod-related) bugs on this forum page. There is a complete mod list available in the README.txt file located in the map folder, so keep an eye out for that list. It includes links to where you can find each of the minecraft mod versions needed for this map. Suggestions and critique on current map design are equally welcome.

NOTE: This map includes skins acquired from PlanetMinecraft.com. I haven't finished sending permissions to the creators of these skins but fully intend to do so soon. If you happen to have made any of these skins and you don't wish for them to be in my map, then send me a PM and I'll remove it right away (Do so through PlanetMinecraft, this way I know it's actually you and not some troll). Remember to give me feedback, Version 0.2 will be released this September!

I'm not sure if this has been done yet, but if someone could create a Flan's Mod content pack that has like little slow-moving airships like the ones in Guns of Icarus that would be amazing...

QUick question is there a way to set what soulstones cannot pick up? for example im using Pixelmon and CNPC and in pixelmon i can set up a trainer and then using the soulstone item i can pick them up and set them back down is there a way to make that not possible? ive tried setting the config where " Normal players can soulstone animals" to false but it still happens.

Mostly asking because it is happening on a server i play on where people are stealing the trainers and statues from the pixelmon mod

If you click on follower and go into the follower settings, you can set it so that it does not become soulstoned. You can edit the follower settings in the advanced tab.

    I have one question.

How to make mob that is standing on its place and shoots projectiles (e.g. fireballs, like ghast), but doesn't runs after his enemy and can't into melee combat?

Like marksman, but with natural projectiles.

I'd try to use "UseRangeAttack" button, but it's disabled.

(sorry for maybe bad english, i'm russian)

Unfortunately I'm not sure about that either. I suppose an easy way to do it is to go into movement and set their walk pace to 0, but then that would make them completely immobile. It would work really well if you're trying to make a sentry or something, but not necessarily for an overly dynamic NPC.

posted a message on Looking for help with command blocks!

Hey, I'm looking for some help with command blocks, particularly with the summon command.

I'm coming up with a finale scene after a final boss fight at the end of a Minecraft map. What I intend to do is use the summon TNT command and have it repeat using a really old redstone technique. However, I would like an entire area destroyed without having to make 100+ command blocks for each individual TNT block that would spawn.

Now, I know that you can use commands to offset things, such as to offset a pair of players teleporting to the same place with the (/tp @a) command. How would I go about and set up the text to offset a summoned primed TNT (if that is at all possible)?

Any help would be appreciated, this is for an adventure map that is under construction.

posted a message on (Modded) Project Yogventures: The Obsidian Sanctum

It has been ten years since Israphel's defeat at the hands of Xephos and Honeydew, also known as Simon and Lewis of the Yogscast, and Israphel's greatest lasting curse upon them was ignorance; no one knows what happened at the end of the battle, and no one likely ever will. Regardless, what is known is that they were victorious, and their rewards were magnificent; magnificent enough for a well deserved early retirement.

That retirement has come to an end when Lewis and Simon receive a letter at the Yogcave asking for their help. They were to come to the Testificate Village of Grikwik, where they would meet a shady man clad in robes in the Old Porkpie Tavern. At first glance, it was just another adventure; likely perhaps a fanboy seeking attention. Little did either of them know that it was much more than that; something akin in danger to Israphel himself...only much, much older.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yogventures is a codename for my latest adventure map project, which I have made in dedication to perhaps Youtube and Minecraft's greatest success story, namely the Yogscast. Taking place ten years after the events of the now defunct series Shadow of Israphel, this adventure map will feature several mods and some fun story that will test the combat skills of our two heroes Simon and Lewis.

This map is currently about 45% done, and is currently using several mods (not in a modpack btw) such as CustomNPCs, Mo Creatures, Mine & Blade Battlegear, Tinker's Construct and more. If this map turns out to be a great success, I will be using its formula to make tons more, as I have been having a LOT of fun making it.

There are no current screenshots as of yet, but there are two teaser trailers released featuring two of the areas the heroes will travel to. I will be uploading screenshots at a later date.

I will continue to update this as the project comes along.

That above sentence is not at all true, what videos do you watch?

It's a very, very popular mod, don't get me wrong, but not even close to the most used.

The Yogscast have on a couple of occasions in their Yoglabs videos, though they never mentioned it's this mod that they've been using.

Hey Noppes, how do you add custom sounds to the current 1.7.10 version? I know there's some fancy new way of doing it but I can never find any recent tutorials regarding the latest version.

The natural spawns are really bugged out! I know that it's still WIP, but when I set the slider to 1%, a couple hundred spawn!

Yeah I found out the hard way when I tried to throw in a few necromancers into a world. Not only did they do the classic, "can't clone same items scramble them in a different world" bug but I had a practical army of them in a roofed forest biome...and made the mistake of setting them to not despawn...XD

Can there be an all of the above option in the poll above? XD

Also, I'm having difficulty dealing with uploading custom sounds. I'm going to try and get a cool song into the game to act as boss music for an NPC (via the Bard job) but I'm having a hard time trying to get the program to recognize that there is a custom sound there. I know that it has something to do with the JSON file but for the life of me I have no clue how to fix it. Can someone clue me in?

If I could be given instructions, once and for all I will make a tutorial and upload it myself so that other people won't have to worry about looking to the forum for answers...at least for the 1.7.10 version.

posted a message on Looking for volunteers to help make a Minecraft adventure map

The title above looks out of place in this forum, but the volunteers I'm looking for are not to help build the map. I am specifically looking for people who are good with Minecraft skins and texture editing.

I am creating a fantasy Yogscast-themed Minecraft adventure map using the Custom NPCs mod and the Mo Creatures mod as well as others. Given that CustomNPCs can take mob entities from the game and other mods and use them for NPC characters, I would like to be able to create a couple of unique NPCs that use the Werewolf models from Mo Creatures. I personally do not have the time or patience for it, but if anyone would like to help me out in this endeavor that would be great.

What I am looking for are skins for 'Wererats' or essentially lycanthrope rodents and rats. I would like one using either the Custom NPCs/more player models mod skins for furries (the wolf variant works well) or a skin of the Mo Creatures werewolf, preferably both if at all possible. If anyone is interested, let me know here in the forums or send me a PM. Any and all help is appreciated.

I really like the new model. It's just that I found out that the Arab guys who found this new Spino reconstruction had found out that the legs were splayed. Not as big as Scott Hartman's difference, but still good.

Still better than Horner's claims that T-Rex was an oversized turkey vulture. XP
