Jan 19, 2013Kelemvore posted a message on 13w03a Ready for TestingWhile I like caves , I agree that they are far to numerous and constant . I would like to come across the occasional cave system . Not one continual , almost never ending string of connected systems...While we are talking about that , I would hope they one day get to adding more into the underground enviroment...well , maybe after oceans see some kind of love...Posted in: News

Dinnerbone said the dispenser is going to shoot/use even more items rather than spitting them out, so the dropper will have to take on some of the dispenser's functionalities.
If it will shoot out pumpkin pies that is a win right there . Creeper comes to your door , dispenser launches pie , queue up the theme song to the Benny Hill show , hilarity ensues... -
Jan 3, 2013Kelemvore posted a message on Snapshot 13w01a Available for Testing! One thing so far , nether ore seems far to common . In my new tester world , I got more then 1 stack of it just in the area around my portal . I like the spread of it , just maybe cut down on the abundance of its seams .Posted in: News

Jan 3, 2013Kelemvore posted a message on Snapshot 13w01a Available for Testing!Very nice . Redstone block , and actual daylight sensors instead of using a bud switch to have my towns lights come on at night . More reasons to go to the nether , all around nice work .Posted in: News
I still hope as I have posted several times before...that since they are working with redstone and minecarts , they will put in either a new booster rail , or configure the old ones with signal strength to change the boosting or breaking power of a booster rail . So you could have much greater control over the speeds of a minecart . Making rides and coasters more enjoyable to make and ride , for people like me that have played to much RCT -

Oct 20, 2012Kelemvore posted a message on 1.4 Pre-Release Available Right Now!I love the update , but wish 2 minor changes would have been implemented in this Halloween update...Posted in: News
Pumpkins without a face until you actually turned it into a jack o'lantern...or the carving thing they had mentioned about adding would have been nice...
Also , from someone who has made numerous haunted houses and Disneylands Haunted Mansion in my survival games...I really wish you could use shears to collect cobwebs... -

If villagers have big noses, and witches have big noses, should a villager witch have a giant nose?
I think the witch should BE a giant nose!!! with a hat on of course... -
Sep 23, 2012Kelemvore posted a message on 12w38a Ready for Testing!I have done several tests with witches , and even in full leather , with a wooden sword . They can be dealt with , without much issue . The most they ever took me from full health was just around half by the time poison ran out . Sure they are tougher then a zombie...they should be . But all this may or may not get changed since they are supposedly only 1/3 finished .Posted in: News
Either way , they are a nice change from the zombies , skeletons , creepers and Endermen .
So far this update is looking pretty nice , absolutely love the minecart sounds! Only a few things I would like to see get added in for the Halloween update...and I would be very happy!
1. Ability to use Shears and get Cobwebs in a legit way . For decorating and such , I do tend to build alot of Haunted Mansions and creepy towns...
2. Bat sounds! I know they just got added and this will more then likely happen .
3. Boat sounds...not counting on that one though .
Anything else is just gravy! -

This is a failed argument which I can easily destroy.
Imagine they changed all the textures to solid pink. All the sounds to fart sounds. All the villagers to giant rendered middle fingers. Millions of people are forced to patch this to play vanilla. Millions of people subjected to a bunch of stupid garbage and each forced to individually accept it or fix it. They have no right to complain about that? Yes, actually they do. Millions of people have a right to complain when you make them fix things Mojang broke.
Also, it is undeniable that most people will not do these modifications. Look beyond your own selfishness for a single second of your life. We are not just arguing against these sound changes because we are lazy about altering what WE hear. We are arguing against the sound changes because it will affect millions of people who AREN'T going to change the sounds, many of them may be new players or casual players who will just be suffering through the new sounds.
Minecraft sounds changed and why? What is the justification? Minecraft has sold millions of copies. It isn't a BETA anymore. Heck, even when it was a "beta" it was an established and popular game, loved by millions. It's too late to change basic things about the game. It's doing more harm than good. The classic sounds are an institution, they are part of the identity of Minecraft. I have a right to complain about them wrecking the identity of Minecraft, regardless of what I choose to have go into my own eyes or ears.
All I keep reading over and over are a bunch of people that do not want to adapt to change...I think you all better get ready for alot more changes then that...I heard they are working on making a new , and far better sound engine for the game . This has been a change lots and lots of people have wanted for a long time , for many reasons...Sure there are a few annoyances with a couple of the sounds . But guess what , this is a snapshot...things change , and if they really are working on a new sound engine , some of these may not be there , or completely different...and if a new engine is coming...ALL the sounds may be getting a change .
The original sounds and some of the graphics were simply place holders until they eventually made better ones...as someone who has made games for along time , I know about using place holders for things...you want to test it , things work , you add more stuff , and sometimes you just do not have the time to go back and make them better as you imagined them to be in the first place...Just because people are used to it , is no reason not to change them . Most people are not completely selfish to their own petty wants , that they can adapt and live with changes that the game designers want for THEIR game...Most people that make games , make them first and foremost for themselves...not for anyone else . Money is a secondary issue when working on something you love .
Just be glad they continue to work on their game , and give you these updates for free . It was stated that after official release they can and might be charging for updates...and most other companies in this day and age...would . The day the stop caring and cease to actually add to the game , and leave it to just the modders...is the day the game begins to die...
I suggest you all complaining about the new sounds...Turn off your computer for awhile...go outside , admire the scenery...then come back , log into Minecraft , build a bridge...and get over it! -
Sep 20, 2012Kelemvore posted a message on 12w38a Ready for Testing! The bats are a very nice , unexpected addition . The witches , while not my first choice for a Halloweeny type mob...work well . With decent armor and sword they arent to hard , but could definitely smoke you if you were not prepared .Posted in: News
The new noises ,
1. The new deeper cow moo should be a longer sound effect , I prefer it over the old one actually . but both would be good .
2. The new spider "scuttling" sound is awesome .
3. The new/old enderman sounds...again awesome .
4. I like the heavy zombie footsteps .
5. The skeleton sounds arent bad , but they just need alittle work...
6. Sand has to much of a "wet" sound to it....
7. Snow sound is definitely to quiet now , but does sound better .
8. Grass , needs some work , its just "off" right now...
9. Wooden planks , there seems to be far to much reverb and it sounds to synthetic right now .
10. The new shearing sheep noise is perfect .
11. The new flint and steel sound , while not as impressive as the old "whoosh!" , sounds closer to real , just needs alittle work .
12. I like the new lava sound much better .
13. The ladder sounds , seem to be alittle to much , just tone them down and it would be good . - To post a comment, please login.

It means you will need to get four D6's , roll them six times total , take the best three each time and put them in your STR , WIS , INT , DEX , CON and CHA stats!

Because the author of optifine WAS asked , but he is a complete douche...

1. The recipe yield needs to be increased...4 carpets pieces for each combine would be a decent number .
2. The ability to place carpet tiles upside down...Carpets as they are now , I just use wool blocks for my floor as always...BUT , if you could place them upside down , you could atleast have different ceiling and floor colours in your homes and buildings .
3. Carpet tiles to hug all blocks placed on , such as stairs...would end peoples request for coloured wool stair blocks , as well as being able to place on top of stairs for better roof decoration . Stone roofs , red top layer etc.
These are just a few suggestions I have for the new carpet blocks and ways to make them much better for everyone all around...

I agree with the other person who posted about having another saddle...that is completely redundant...One saddle is all the game will ever need .
Now with a donkey mount , my armor on...all I need is for them to add in lances...and I will so charge my towns windmill!
