    I used some to cover the roof in snow , when I made a copy of the North Woods Inn restaurant in one of my maps .
    They do make great town dwellers as well .
    I keep some in guard towers near my gates , and they do a good job of keeping creepers away from me entering or exiting.
    Use them to walk over pressure plates for random effects . Placed one in a big 2 block high room under a village , with lots of pressure plates and note blocks , random sounds coming from the houses and buildings now . Slightly less lonely , or possibly haunted!
    and of course , to farm snow...

    posted a message on Mysterious sounds in Mineshafts?!
    Just don't let the Endermen sneak up on you...or you will get rear'ended!

    I still have never heard these supposed sounds in mineshafts and I have spent plenty of time in them the last 2 weeks . I hear spiders , slimes , endermen walking around and moving/placing blocks , water etc. nothing exciting . Even though it would be cool if there was something , like every full moon phase have ghosts wander around towns , strongholds , mineshafts .

    Thanks for continuing work on this great texture pack . One of the few that I like to use , as most seem to have a few blocks that bother me and I end up switching back to the standard texture . Keep up the good work!

    Here is my entry for week 4 . It is based off the haunted mansion , and I will be my making this on my survival game and make it my characters new house! I put two redstone torches in the second story window to look like red eyes , but didnt come out like I was hoping , oh well .

    If you do a christmas texture pack , you have to make something look like the yeti in those old christmas specials . That would be awesome! Or even better , with your style combine and make a nightmare before christmas texture pack .

    I just found this post , while searching for a Halloween texture pack . Great job btw ! Halloween is sort of a year round thing at my house . So , here is my entry , I call this one Nevermore . Let me tell you it was not easy getting that chicken/raven to do what I wanted it to do!!!

    posted a message on Anyone not impressed with 1.9 so far?
    I just started playing about a month ago . 1.8 , I have been building , making houses , farms , monorails and getting used to redstone . I farm , build , explore and collect ore . I enjoy it , purchased it right away .

    I download and set up 1.9 release 4...and the odd thing...I still do the same exact things . Nothing has changed for me , except now I farm more sugar cane for paper to make a full 2 high block of bookshelves for my enchanting table . I have enchanted 2 mining picks and 1 sword . I have crafted a few cauldrons to use as bathtubs etc. in my houses . That is all I have done differently . Oh and I can finally farm pumpkins! that alone so far has made the update worth it for me .

    I see no harm at all of adding in even more content...no matter if you like it , hate it , or will ever use it or not . Its there , its more options . From what I have read , it says it is the Adventure update...all I can see is it giving more options , besides just doing what we have always done . Once its complete and fully implemented , I am sure they will go right back into adding more building , blocks , items , animals etc.

    I will go back to building my house , working my monorail system and exploring...maybe one day soon , I will try and see what I can do with those 32 spider eyes I have in my storage...but until then , I will just keep enjoying the game .

    Since I live out here in Las Vegas , I may see you at minecon .

    posted a message on What is the recommended method of building a rail stopping station?
    I have a huge monorail raised minecart system that takes me all over my world . I have lots of 3 way intersections along my track system , and a few straight section stops that can go either way . The best way to stop the carts for de-boarding or in my case choosing a direction to go at my intersections is to put the powered/unpowered rail on a 1 block high slope , the slope part not the top of the block . Unpowered it will stop you , and since you are on a slope , when you power it you will continue in the direction down from that slope . Could be better ways of doing it , but I am semi new , and that worked for me .

    Nice seed and thanks for sharing , went exploring around the area , and its also connected to a massive abandoned mine system , I found 4 chests , lots of iron and gold ore , and a 4 block of diamond patch . Pretty interesting overall .

    I just made a new world with this seed using 1.9 pre-release 4 . I checked out a few of the notable areas and was surprised that a good amount of these are still there .

    Notable Coordinates:

    x:300 z:300 NPC Village **Is now ocean**

    x:200 y:85 z:-300 NPC Village 2 (weird) **Still there , and still oddly formed , but with villagers**

    x:320 y:75 z:635 NPC Village 3 **This Village is still here and with villagers now . huge ravine behind it**

    x:210 y:95 z:175 Floating Island 1 **near this same spot , lots of floating islands around this area**

    x:160 y: 70 z:-30 Epic Valley **some valleys , huge waterfalls in the area , and a lava spring here now**

    x:-50 y:105 z:-123 Nostalgia Tower **Still there!**

    x:370 y:27 z:900 Stronghold **Not there any longer**
