In Version 1.1 the glass is still broken for me, also the zombie town map doesn't reset, ( 1st baracade ).
But other than that the map is very fun. I am looking forward to the new map. :steve_lol:

One of my fellow devs sent the wrong map file for v1.1 to upload. We're working on fixing the doors.
And a (probably a bit buggy) dev version may be released once dark forest is functioning in a playable state...

All of the page formatting is now broken. This is going to take ages to fix. Thanks a lot, Curse.

Truly a tragic and heroic death on a zombie survival server. They had a leg breaking plugin, and the group of 3 I was in were out of morphine. We were holed up in a house, but zombies were going to break down the door any moment. I told the group to run out the back door as soon as they broke it. The knocking grew louder, and the door cracked in half. I fired my charged bow at the first one, killing it. Zombies poured in, and my friends escaped through the back door as I fought tooth and nail with the zombies, eventually falling to their undead grasp.
When I fought the Wther ontop of a mountain, I nearly killed him. But then I was tossed over the edge, and fell. The Wither was heavily damaged and looked over the edge, starting to ascend. I shot just one last arrow before hitting ground, and in the deathscreen, I saw my Opponent die, too.

The Wither becomes invulnerable to projectiles once it has less than 50% HP. I'm gonna call this out as a fake.

Main download for Beta v1.1 is now up! It can be found //journcy.net/downloads/MCNZ[Bv1.1" target="" data-ensure-absolute>.zip"]here.

I am currently unable to edit the OP. Some weird "you must enter a post" error occurs. Anyone know what's up with that?

That's right, everyone! The new Dark Forest map is undergoing construction! This large and expansive map is located just outside Zombie Town, and is infested with hordes of zombies for you to fight. This map is the largest one built yet, over twice the size of ZT.

So i found someones horse and the only thing i can do is ride it, can i equip new armor on it? i cant seem to find a way to open its inventory.

I am completely certain that this guy stole someone elses horse. He calls it "someones horse" not "a wild horse" and wants to put "new" armor on it, not just put armor on it. Sounds like he stole someone's horse wearing a lower tier of armor and wants to put a higher end armor on it.

Anyway, pressing "e" or whatever your inventory key is on a tamed horse will open the horses inventory.

I don't care if you stole someone's horse, unless that is against the rules of the server.

What do I plan to do? Build a minecart railroad all over the multiplayer server I'm on, connecting everybody's houses with the spawn area and with each other. That's what I think is fun. You think jumping over lava, etc., is more fun than building railroads. I think that building railroads is more fun than jumping over lava. Up until this proposed nerf, you and I could both play Minecraft in the way we think is fun. You could do your spelunking; I could do my building. They are proposing -- and you are supporting -- only permitting one of those kinds of fun, and prohibiting people who have been having fun doing something else (building railroads, for instance) from doing what they have been doing up until now. Let me ask you this: If I've got an iron farm in a SSP game, or in a SMP game on a server you don't play on, who does it effect your game experience? How does it make the game worse for you if someone you don't play with is having fun with it in a different way than you are? Conversely, if I can't have fun anymore -- if I have to do something boring instead -- how does that make your experience better? What changes in your game if someone else has to play differently, or not at all? Cui bono?

I don't know, why were sand farms a problem? They exploited features and were game breaking.
And what if someone has an iron fam on a SMP server I DO play on? Suddenly, they have a huge advantage over me. Should I sacrifice my own enjoyment and build an iron farm to regain my advantage?

The official wikipedia page does not combine the sales from these, as they are separate games.
If we want to change it so that these games are counted as one, it would require all other games in series to be combined as well (ie- all CoD game sales become lumped together), which would just push minecraft back down the list anyway.

Yes, because God forbid you do some crafting in a game called mineCRAFT. How dare Mojang force you to do an action the game is based around?!

If you like clicking on blocks, endlessly, for the sheer joy of ... um, clicking on blocks? ... nobody is stopping you. If that's how you like to play, go for it. Frankly, I find it boring as all get out. Click. Click. Click. Put up a torch. Click. Click. Click. Hit the cross tunnel, move down to the next spot I marked and back to clicking. Click. Click. Click. If that's fun for you, great. Nobody is telling you not to click on blocks all day, every day, and enjoy every moment of it. Just because I don't think it's fun doesn't mean I can't acknowledge that you think it's fun.

You've been playing Minecraft for a while and having fun. So how would you feel if, over time, Jeb moved on and was replaced with a new guy at Mojang -- we'll call him Bej -- and that guy said "I think there's too much mining and not enough crafting. So from now on, after you mine 20 iron, all future iron ore will drop only cobblestone. If you want iron, you'll have to build an iron farm." That would suck, wouldn't it? Something you bought the game for, something you really enjoy doing -- clicking on blocks -- doesn't work anymore. And the reason it doesn't work isn't that it makes the game better for anybody, but that it makes the game worse for people like you, who aren't playing it "right" according to Bej. I dare say you'd complain. I don't hink you'd find being forced to so something you don't want to do as much fun as it is to see other people being forced to do things they don't want to do.

And, again, that's what people are objecting to: something that was a part of the game when they bought it being taken out, not to benefit anyone, but solely to harm those people for the benefit of no one. To make them play with their Legos in the One True Way. To make them build what's in the picture on the Lego box, not what's in their imagination.

Right, because spelunking, jumping over lava, fighting monsters, and experiencing the joy you get when you find a bunch of a rare ore is so lame compared to sitting afk collecting iron and gold for an hour. And seriously, what do you plan on doing with the 50 stacks of iron and gold blocks you've collected? Its not like you need the stuff to go mining, you've already collected more ingots than you'll ever need. You make a quick trip down every once in a while for a tiny bit of redstone, diamond, and lapis, and that's it. Heaven forbid you do some surviving in a survival game. If you want to play extreme sandbox mode, go start up a world in creative.

posted a message on The Minecraft Community is a Monster
The community has turned into a disgusting mass of bratty children.

How has the community changed since you first played MC?
When I first started in beta 1.5, there was next to no rage on the forums. People were much calmer, and most people had better grammar. However, recently, a large influx of 8-12 year olds have made the community seem much less mature. It doesn't really help that the xbox community has joined us, as, while there are plenty of gems in there, most of them are obnoxious children.

I don't really understand why people get so ticked off about minor changes. Roses weren't even removed from the game, we've got bushes of them now, which make about one hundred thousand times more sense than individual roses. But no, poppies just aren't good enough. We need stupid roses. Just revert them with a resource pack if you really care that much and shut up about the damn thing.

I think the outcry against iron and gold farms removal was stupid and childish. Farms that produced a stack of bars in 10 minutes were a clear and obvious oversight and should have never been allowed to exist. I think the outcry was very similar to the people complaining when sand farms were removed. Because how dare you have to actually go out and play the game instead of just sitting afk and collecting items.
Are you satisfied with this change?
No. It disgusts me how whiny and hot headed the community has become, that they think that they know what is best for the game, despite having not a single idea on how to play.

Do you agree with the piston analogy? Why or why not?
Yes. People got annoyed and even a few rage threads were made, but they never gained any traction, and people agreed that mojang knew what was best for their own freaking game.

If this thread made you change your thoughts on updates and the community, how so and why?
    I didn't.

(Note- I do not hate 12 year olds. I just feel that a large number of the problematic people in this community are very young. If you are not one of the whiny, immature children who lack basic understanding of how to type a sentence, I'd like to apologize if I offended you.)

Cool. I'll test it when I get a chance. It looks seriously awesome.
    Edit
I've played a couple rounds, and here is what I think. The map is awesome. No major glitches as far as I could tell. The settings room is really awesome. Abit of lag, but most likely my computer. I can't get very far into it because I suck at it, but very nice. One minor thing you might want to change for next release is names of testers are still on the scoreboard on map load, can be fixed by resetting map but might be a good idea to roll out in the release.
Overall awesome, have a apple :-(o):

Thanks! I could have sworn we had cleaned out the scoreboard before we published it. Maybe it didn't autosave until after that?
