posted a message on Syncing Issues

In my case, I never received errors when syncing, but I recently had to delete/re-add my LIVE account on my Xbox One and I lost 1/4 of my worlds. None of my other Xbox One games lost any data, just Minecraft. So, it seems that even if you're not getting a sync error, Minecraft is not able to sync the data. This really makes me leary of spending any time at all creating worlds as they may just be lost. Unfortunately, there is no way to back up the worlds from the Xbox One to external storage.

posted a message on Sync somehow lost all of my saves!?

I wish I had good news for you. However the sad truth is that the save is gone. I have been dealing with the same issue and have not been able to recover it. I have cqlled xbox customer support several times and spoken with three different specialists. However they have all said the same thing. That the world is lost and there's nothing they can do. They told me to jusy start over. I lost a world that I had played on since 360 mc. Over 2000 hours in total. I feel your pain man.

I just lost about 1/4 of my worlds after having to remove/re-add my LIVE account on my Xbox One. I really think that Minecraft for Xbox One is having problems syncing to the Microsoft cloud. I never received an error, but data loss occured. None of my other games had data loss at all.

Anything...? Still missing multiple saved worlds. Also had sync issues with every world that was left. One error said couldn't connect to the cloud. Did my save data recently switch to the cloud?

I believe that your data is always saved to the Microsoft cloud. I don't believe that you can configure Minecraft to only save locally. There is more information at http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/games/cloud-game-saves-faq#35238a7713104371aa2fa6fb46164ee8

posted a message on missing half my newest saved worlds, and sync issues

I know that the OP is old, but I just ran into this issue as well. For some reason I was no longer able to log into my Xbox One. I ended up having to delete/re-add my account on my console. After doing so, all of my games except for Minecraft had my current progress restored (synced). My Minecraft data loss is random. I have some worlds that I created four months ago and some that I recently created, but I am missing about 1/4 of my worlds (old and new). Microsoft support informed me that I need to contact Mojang. I submitted a support ticket, but I do believe that Minecraft for Xbox One has syncing issues. Unfortunately, there is no way to back my Minecraft data up to a USB drive. So, the bottom line is that all world progress in Minecraft is potentially in danger of being lost.
