May 29, 2014Everyone can agree that squids are currently one of the most boring mobs in the game. They've been in the game for a very long while, so its about time that they receive an upgrade.Posted in: Suggestions
First of all, squids would be able to defend themselves in the same way they do in real life, through blinding ink. When a player attacks a squid, it would get "scared" in the same way as an ocelot on land. It would quickly swim away, leaving the player behind it with the Blindness 1 effect for seven seconds. However, if you were wearing a helmet with any level of Aqua Affinity, you would not be affected. Here is a picture:
This being implemented would also mean that acquiring ink sacks would be more challenging, which now have another use: A blindness potion!
The blindness potion is brewed with an ink sack and the mundane potion base, meaning the mundane base is also more useful. Here is a picture:
The default timing for this potion is only 00:30 , but it can be buffed up to 01:30 when brewed together with glowstone, like all other potion. Like most other potions, it can also be combined with redstone to buff it's level up to Blindness 2. Combining it with gunpowder makes it into a splash potion, which greatly reduces it's time to Blindness 1: 00:10 and Blindness 2: 00:50 (The short timing is because PvP would be dead with longer-lasting blindness potions). Again, like all other potions, you can drink milk to cure it's effects.
When hostile mobs are hit with this potion, they go "blind". From the moment of impact, they walk forward indefinitely, but will sometimes zig-zag around. Much like the invisibility potion, they basically can't see you. This Blindness potion would not effect boss mobs like the Wither and Enderdragon in survival, but will in creative.
Any constructive criticism is appreciated.

May 26, 2014A while ago, I used Amidst to locate specific biomes, villages, temples, and strongholds. Now, I look back at those worlds as tainted, because I didn't completely those actions in a legit way. So, do you people consider using programs like Amidst cheating?Posted in: Survival Mode
May 25, 2014Even though that would be awesome, you would have to create a bunch of sideways view filters so you don't look like you're defying gravity. (although the occasional floating island is an ordinary sight)Posted in: Suggestions

I purchased minecraft pe for my son for my iPhone, he is 7 and loves it. However I now no longer have use of my phone as I can never get if off him so I was thinking of downloading it to the PC. However I wanted the full version as according to my son the pe version doesn't have it all. Will I have to pay again and where can I download it from?
Thanks in advance for any help.
Yes, you will have to purchase Minecraft again. When you purchase Minecraft you only buy it for one platform. In your case, this was the PE Version. You can purchase and download the latest version of Minecraft from minecraft.net
The game should automatically assign you to the latest version (1.7.9) once you login to the game for the first time. If it doesn't, you can use the Edit Profile button in the launcher to change it at any time.

Jun 10, 2014This suggestion is for a new enchantment only applicable on swords and pickaxes called: "Awareness" or "Sixth Sense" (as suggested by Codybro101).Posted in: Suggestions
What Does This "Awareness" do When Applied to Swords?
Well, when applied to a sword, the sword will be outlined with a glow (not glow the sword) when mobs are around. There will be four colours of glow depending on what type of mob it will be, for example: red means hostile (especially good against creepers), Yellow means natural (unless enraged, in which case it'll be red), green means peaceful, and blue means player (are players considered mobs? oh well). If you happen to be around a mix of these types of mobs the colour will be prioritized by which ever is closest. There are also glow strengths depending on how far away these mobs are, for example: the closer the mob, the stronger / more brighter the glow, & the farther the mob, the weaker / less stronger the glow. There are 8 "glow strengths" (sorry I cannot provide pitchers, just know these are not intended to be eye sores): 1 being the weakest, and 8 being the strongest.
What Does This "Awareness" do When Applied to Pickaxes?
Well, when applied to a pickaxe, the pickaxe will be outlined with a glow (not glow the pickaxe) When around ores. It'll only glow one colour; Light Blue. There are also 8 "glow strengths" depending on how far away the ores (in general, it won't be like; Hey this one's diamond and this one's coal, no, no it won't do that!) are, for example: the closer the ore, the stronger / more brighter the glow, & the farther the ore, the weaker / less stronger the glow. There are 8 "glow strengths" (sorry I cannot provide pitchers, just know these are not intended to be eye sores): 1 being the weakest, and 8 being the strongest.
Glow Strengths & Enchantment Levels?
-"Awareness I" allows the sword/pickaxe to up and down a glow strength every 2 block from in distance to a mob/ore, meaning the awareness range is up to 16 blocks.
-"Awareness II" allows the sword/pickaxe to up and down a glow strength every 3 block from in distance to a mob/ore, meaning the awareness range is up to 24 blocks.
-"Awareness III" allows the sword/pickaxe to up and down a glow strength every 4 block from in distance to a mob/ore, meaning the awareness range is up to 32 blocks. "Awareness III" can only be achieved by forging via anvil.
-There will only be 3 levels for this enchantment which determine its range.
I'm not entirely sure how rare this enchantment should be, what do you guys think?
Edit: This enchantment on pickaxes cannot stack with the Fortune enchantment for balancing reasons.
And now it's your time to criticize this suggestion, and give me your feed back, also thanks for reading.
Jun 10, 2014I wanted to know how deep a hole was, so I hit F3 and threw myself down... with all my stuff... and I then realized I had no easy way to get my stuff back from the bottom of the hole.Posted in: Survival Mode
On the bright side, I learned that the hole was 36 blocks deep.
Jun 6, 2014This is the first time I have posted in a forum but I feel I have a good idea to add to a already great game and I need help improving on the idea and to make it happen hopefully. While traveling the minecraft world water is something you just can't avoid. I always have a hard time getting animals across the water even my horse, mule or donkey don't care for the water so I have a plan. The idea is a barge for Travel and transport first I describe how it could be crafted and thin I'll list a few of the reasons it would be handy and be a good addition to the minecraft game.Posted in: Suggestions
First step would be to craft as many boats as needed for the desired size. Then in the water place one boat then pressing shift click on the end of the first boat and connect the second boat to it and so on until you have the length u want as to build like a pontoon then construct another the desirable distance away and connect the two by placing boats between the two pontoons giving u a H shaped base
Then using plank add the decking to your barge giving you a flat top covering the pontoons
from there add a oven to power the craft . A piece of fence to tie it to the shore or your dock to keep it from drifting away from there the ideas are endless.
Here are a few uses for the barge:
1. Fence your barge to transport animals from place to place across bodies of water
2. Add chests to your barge to transport your item and carry more item during adventures
3. build a house on your barge so while your out on your travels you can have a place to sleep , cook and craft or simply use it as a home
4. Use your barge as a fishing boat with storage u could catch more food and items before returning home
5. Place multiple ovens on your barge to cook off the clay you mine out of the water
These are a few of the ideas for the barge the options are only limited by ones own imagination.
Please feel free to add your own ideas in your comments and any impute to improve the barge idea.
Jun 5, 2014I've noticed Minecraft has a good variety of tree's. Oak, Birch, Spruce, Jungle, Dark Oak, and Acacia. All unique in color and all have some good way of being used in builds. I am suggesting an original and unique idea. I have searched and I guarantee you, I have not found ANYTHING related to this. Now, let's talk about it.Posted in: Suggestions
I suggest a new type of tree. Eucalyptus Deglupta, or, as how it is described as more often, Rainbow Eucalyptus. It is a Eucalyptus tree that is sometimes found in the Northern Hemisphere. It can have normal color as Eucalyptus, and as it matures, it naturally gains blue, orange, green, purple, and maroon tones, giving it amazing colors of texture, that literally seem out of this world.
So, why am I suggesting this? Because, I feel we need some unique variants of tree's, and let's be serious here, adding another variant wouldn't hurt right?
So, the in-game texture is blue bark, and obviously the orange, purple, green, and maroon texture. I am still messing with textures and making a few, so keep in mind I'm not the best person at making them and I still have a few in progress. Also, in the poll, I'm adding if it should be brown like eucalyptus with slight shades of blue.
I have a poll for which texture is best.
The planks, I will have a poll for what color they should be. This also applies to the top of the log as well.
Now, where do they generate? They generate on islands sometimes, and can rarely be found in all variants of Jungles, Roofed Forests, Forests, and low areas in Extreme Hills. Although they are more common in lower areas there, they can even more rarely generate higher. They cannot generate over the limit of snow. I have a poll on where they should generate.
So, this wraps up everything for now, although I have more plans for this suggestion. Let me know what you think. Criticism and constructive criticism is allowed.
