posted a message on is minecraft dead or something?
    Quote from AgentPaint

Minecraft is dying, it's not dead yet. This can be said for any game.
Actually, Minecraft is one of the fastest growing games ever, and it still hasn't matured completely. Minecraft is the polar opposite of the word "dying".

posted a message on [Feedback] Member Profiles
I'm really liking the new profile format, as it is much easier to navigate. The "posts" section is especially good, because its easier to differentiate between posts and has more hyperlinks to get you pack to the topic they were posted on. However, being uncluttered and linearly designed, the new profile's look completely takes away the "cozy" feel that the other forum had. There is also lots of extra space along the sides of the profile pages, so I'm hoping the forum developers will put something extra in there. (The extra space further takes away the "cozy" feel, so if nothing is added there, the actual profile text should be enlarged to fill it up)

As for the rest of the forums, its as many have said before: clean and easy to navigate, but a few things can be tweaked here and there.

posted a message on [Feedback] Contrasting Background
Its great that Minecraft Forum is going through all these improvements, but I'd like to point one thing out. I absolutely hate the stark white background of every forum page. By having all those colorful tags and prefixes, the white is simply much to contrasting and even looks a bit utilitarian. I know this is just a beta and things are subject to change, but I'd recommend making the background some sort of brown or pale blue to tone down the visuals.

I wonder how long this is gonna take. Weeks? Months? A whole year? This project should receive some recognition after being finished!

posted a message on What irritates you about servers these days?
I hate how 99.9% of servers these days are just little spawns with Minigame portals around them. I loved how before, servers used to have intricate spawns, tons of things to discover, and had great societies.

And VIPs, too. They thing they have the right to kick you around the server all the time. No wonder why the Shotbow network servers used to have 8,000 people playing on them at all times before they introduced the VIP system, and now they have 500... (mostly VIPs)

posted a message on MAKE FLINT MORE USEFUL!
I just plugged "flint tools" into the all-powerful search bar, and guess what? Out popped 956 results! Also, Dinnerbone stated on Twitter that he would not be adding any more tool tiers unless absolutely necessary. The flint ore is also pointless, because thats gravels' only real purpose. As for the reflective flint block, that would be cool, but it would require a massive engine rewrite that might not even be possible with an old coding system like Java.

posted a message on NEW BLOCK: SEA LANTERN, CONFIRMED
    Quote from LegoShokwave123

When Mojang shows a feature that is as close to being complete as the Prismarine and Sea Lantern seem to be, it is extremely rare for it not to be added. The only exception is when they outright state that it is not guaranteed to be added (Rabbits, for example).

What you are referring to, despite the fact it is an entirely different situation, is when they mention a possible future feature, but don't implement it at all until much later.

The hype train continues on its path unhindered.
Don't get me wrong, I'm inside that hype train too, but it just ran out of fuel.

Take mod/plugin API for example. During the development of 1.5, Jeb said himself on Twitter and Instagram that the API is confirmed for the upcoming updates, and guess what happen? We're still waiting for it now.

It's obvious features like this were delayed for good reason, but thats what happens to some "confirmed" upcoming stuff.

CHUGGA CHUGGA, HERE COMES THE HYPE TRAIN.

I just derailed it. Jeb also said that we should be expecting it in a snapshot very soon, and you know what "soon" means to Mojang...
