I think that I might do Hane's perspective next. After that I might do Zed's, or Rosie's, or AMLUP. After those I will do the player's view to finish it off. It might be a while because I am in an academic predicament.
Ive been fooling around with SethBling's/Vech's mortar filter and I used it to make things pretty instead of deadly in a update on my CTM Map SnowBall arches FTW!
That's hilarious! I wouldn't mess with mine too much, as it does have very fragile redstone (BUD switches and the likes). There is some room for "decoration", though!
Alright all of our "Decorations" are external any way. We have our first recording session on monday and if we can get the episodes uploaded early we will message them to you
Natural nether kinda looks a bit boring, you could mix in some other blocks or structures and just use the natural terrain as a base for you to work onto.
*Cough* Emerald dream Keystone Beta *Cough* But yeah you fixed it because it looked boring
Okay, since a few people wanted me to make this, I have decided to make an entire backstory to Inferno Mines. The basic gist of it is that you have found the logs of the miners that have abandoned this place. The first subsection will be the logs of Hillia(cant remember his first name, its the book at the start of Hane's Discrace). I will be posting it on the SH thread and the CTM central if you want to read it.
Inferno Mines- Hillia's Story: Part 1
Hillia's log: Day 1-
Today the King himself ordered a massive caving expedition. The
reason for this is that our kingdom's mineral stockpile was starting to
dwindle. We were in need....bad. I am part of the expidition. I
wouldn't mind it as much...if we were going into a mine that we
already knew of....not the monstrous cavern that we found just a
week before.
Hillia's log: Day 2-
Although I can partially believe it, the rest of the Inferno Ops
expedition team can hardly containt themself. They found minerals,
countless sums of them, so much that it would last the kingdom for the
next 100,000 years. We immediately headed back to the surface to
give a quick report. The king then immediately ordered Hane and 300
miners to start the largest mining operation ever to exist. I was
assigned to be one of the miners, they gave me some leather clothing,
a sword(just in case), and a bow and some arrows. Food was to be
distrubuted every few hours to the miners, so I don't have to worry
about that.
Hillia's log: Day 3-
As we slowly set up a temporary base camp for the miners to be able
to sleep and basically live down here, we noticed how large these
caverns were. The walls were made completely of sandstone, which
could have made them unstable, but easier to mine through. We also
noticed that ores were plentiful and in large veins we found at least a
mile long iron vein. This will last the kingdom forever.
Hillia's log: Day 4-
I have realized that the deeper we head into the mines, the more
dangerous it seems to become. Some areas are infested with insects
and some mutant spiders... The ores are still in large abundances, but
I am still unsure about this whole operation...I'm not sure whether to
be scared or to be glad in this situation.

Hillia's log: Day 6-
Today we decided that dormatories were to be carved out of the side
of a solid sandstone wall. 50 miners at a time work at carving out the
dorms, while the rest rest a bit. Then it cycles to the next 50 miners.
This has happened over the next few hours until we realized that we
had enough space to house plenty of miners.
Hillia's log: Day 7-
We now had a simple dormatory area set up over the course of one
week, which is quite good if I do say so myself. Now we had to head
deeper into the mines in search of gold and other precious metals,
which we were running dreadfully low on. I might not write anything
for the next week or so, as I don't see the need to if we aren't making
that much progress.
Hillia's log: Day 15-
As we head deeper into the mines, we were able to find more and
more ores, but there was a problem, magma. As we started mining
some of the ores, lava started flowing out of them. We have one man
wounded, poor ol' Jamie. I don't know who Jamie really is that well,
but his entire leg and part of his hand was completely burned off. I
hope that nobody dies in these mines, but I am very worried.
Hilla's log: Day 27-
I haven't written anything in a while, but that is because we were able
to create some sort of Intersection to some other cavernous areas in
the mines. The upper and lower mines were the areas that most of
our mining was done for a while. The upper mines was very quickly
drained of gold and coal, but the lower mines has so much of it that
we are still on just the first vein of gold out of hundreds.
Hillia's log: Day 29-
Today, we were able to start construction on our permanent base of
operations. We call it the Everforge. Hane ordered our most efficient
builder to help create blueprints for this massive construction
operation. It would be in the lower mines supported by large stone
arches that would branch out and be attached to the cavern's wall.
The construction will take about a month, but I think I can wait, as
this will actually feel like a proper home, instead of the smelly dorms
that I have to sleep in.
Hillia's log: Day 42-
Construction on the Everforge is nearly halfway done, so that is some
good news. Some bad news is that The original Dorms were
attacked. They were swarmed by spiders that had some special
venom. This venom made the skin melt away, we were only able to
fend them off for a few minutes, but they just kept coming. Three
men were killed by the spiders and another died from the Venom
melting through his neck...I knew that this whole mining operation was
a bad idea...I just knew it...
