What map are you most looking forward to? (Still in development)
Titans revolt by Project CTM , Disarray by Skeeto and the new style of CTM that Vechs hinted at in his latest IM video that will probably crash and burn.
So I did some testing about using BUD switches with the monument, and it's probably better then the adventure mode thing. The monument is twice as big though so no red stone conflicts with each other.
I dont use a BUD switch because it is cheatable. Like Orange said mine would use a dropper or a endportal frame to a hopper and comparators . I wont go any further because then why watch the video :P.
I was wondering who here would like to see a tutorial on how to make a uncheatable monument that can light up a redstone lamp, spit out whatever text you want and dispense an item upon putting the monument item in? I just made one for my latest mapping venture and would be happy to post up a video of how to make one if anyone was interested!
The building looks great, it would be nice to have a closer screenshot though.
The landscape looks like it could do with some more work, the general shape of it is fine, it just needs some more work to remove the regularity of the giant ellipses carved into the cliffs. Maybe use some smaller brushes to dig out little holes everywhere and then some eroding to smooth the holes in with the rest. The /frag command is quite good for that.
Maybe add some shelves of grassy areas with trees on into the cliffs.
Thanks for elaborating I will definitely fix it up a bit.
when you make a comment like that I'd like to know why you think that? I know the one brushstroke on the right needs more erosion but I put a lot of effort into this area so I don't know why it's 'Rushed'.
Thoughts? Impressions? Feedback?
This is something I have been working on as a side project from TGP#2. Its going to be a network of caves with 8 monument items(no Intersections). Here is another pic as the player enters the area:
I know there are a lot of open world ctm maps being made, so can someone help me out here, how do you start out making a open world ctm map?
The first step is to plan. Do you want you map to be somewhat linear or to have the black wool 10 feet from the starting area? Whats the theme and how large do you want it. Just go and play From Flames/Ashes thats what all Open world maps should be based off of.
Awwwww all CTMer's seem to be friends or in contact in some way. So lonely over here
Definitely check out the ultimate CTM community thread as thats was where I met all the peoples that I now hang out with :D. Ill try to be more consistent with this series as I feel like having a somewhat steady CTM on my channel is important also.
