hey guys! i missed this thread! just so you know, quivers were canceled for 1.9. You should put them in the next update

    Hello again.

Ha ha, believe me, we keep very up to date with 1.9 news. And we could add quivers... I don't know if that's such a good idea though. They've been planned and then discarded from Vanilla twice now, and there are already several mods that add them. We're going for unique stuff that still makes sense in Minecraft with this mod. We're still completely open to new suggestions though.

    Boy did we miss that.

KalStuff v0.6.2c beta has been released! It works a lot better now, and has new stuff! We didn't finish all of our plans for this update. We've still got lots more stuff to add!

Oh sorry, somehow I apparently never got notified that you commented on here. I don't know why.

Windows SmartScreen blocks a lot of .exe files. On the message that it gave you, it should have a "More Options" button, or something like that, and an option to allow the program anyway.

You're welcome. One last thing I happened to think of the other day is that you can stand on boats. With a LOT of command blocks, you may be able to detect when a player was over an armor stand and teleport invisible(you'd have to use a Resource Pack for that I think) boats relative to the player. Then you may be able to have the boats go up and down like you wanted by teleporting them. That's all just a big theory that probably wouldn't hold up to testing though.

Edit: The players could also right click the boats to get into them, which would probably be another problem.

True, but there would be a space between the head of the armor stand and the surface of the block. If the player held shift to go to the outside edge of the block, they wouldn't be on the armor stand. And if you put a bunch of armor stands in a row close enough to each other, the barrier would allow you to just walk across them instead of create a bumpy surface.

Unfortunately, something like that is pretty much impossible currently. There is no way to make players not go through entities. Like MegaDerf said, you could use barrier blocks. You could also possible use something like a flower pot, and /setblock it in midair. It might look weird but you can walk on it at least. You could also try /setblock-ing skulls. As far as I know though, there is no other way.

    I
recommend using SourceTree (free) as graphical UI to manage the git
stuff, together with Eclipse. It works well for me. I have tutorial
    here:

Whoa, dude! You beat me to replying... I linked your tutorial in my reply, if you didn't see that. Thanks for the help, I may never have gotten my stuff working without it.

posted a message on Git in Eclipse not working

Oh, yes, sorry, I forgot to update this post. I finally figured it out a while ago. For some reason, Eclipse just won't let you create a repository. I found a tutorial, which you can find here, which talks about using SourceTree with Git. I used that tutorial and SourceTree to create my repository, then I was able to access the repository from Eclipse. I could then commit, push and pull anything between my local and remote repositories. Basically, just find a way to create your local repository besides Eclipse. You could even upload your files straight to a GitHub repository if that's what you're using, and then connect your Eclipse to it and pull to a local repository. I hope this helps you and anyone else who has this problem. If you need more help just let me know and I"ll try to explain more.

And just for documentation, the first mod that me and my friends have created together using Eclipse with GitHub is called KalStuff, and you can find it here:

I leave for 13 hours and there are already 11 more comments...

Anyway here's a screenshot of what the shacks look like. You can already see part of one in the grape vine screenshot but this picture is better. I have been told that leaving my FOV on Quake Pro while taking pictures is annoying, so I'll be using Normal FOV for screenshots from now on.

Also, I'm working on the config thing. I should be able to post the update later today.

    Edit: Make that 12 comments.

posted a message on KalStuff - Another mod with random stuff! v0.8.1 for 1.11.2

Welcome to the page for KalStuff! Yes, I know that was unnecessary because the title and banner should have already told you what page you're looking at.... KalStuff is a mod that, as the title and banner also say, has random stuff. While originally started by me(Kalman98) to test out modding in 1.8, soon me and some friends decided to start a modding team. We needed something to practice on, so I uploaded KalStuff to GitHub and we started working together. Even though KalStuff was created as a test, by this point it has enough content to make it fully playable(to some extent). With content ranging from chicken nests to moon flowers, it will suit all your random mod needs!

    WHO?

TEAM Modding Team is currently working on KalStuff, in partnership with Creeps, inc..
TEAM Modding Team consists of the following members:

Kalman98 - code, models, and textures, leader of project

pianoman373 - code, models, and textures

    CircuitLord - code

    PieCrafter314 - code

    ParkerMc - code

    Angelgal246 - textures and art

Creeps, inc. members blackout4488 and nunyabiznis both help with KalStuff by supplying ideas.

    WHAT?

    KalStuff
is a mod that adds random stuff to Minecraft. We can't really think of a
better description... but maybe this video will help!

    WHERE?

You can download all versions of KalStuff from CurseForge at:

KalStuff is distributed under the GNU General Public License, version 3.0. Basically, it means you can do
what you want with our code, even modify and redistribute it, as long as you give us credit for it and
don't attempt to make any money off of it. You can read the whole license here if you want to.
Or you could just download the mod and get to playing with it!

    WHEN?

Now! KalStuff is in Beta stage and isn't a full release. We've got more to add before that!
No idea when the first official release will be.

    WHY?

Because we can! Do we really need a reason to add new stuff to one of the most awesome games on the planet?
And besides those reasons, modding is just fun!

    HOW?

To install KalStuff, simply download the jar appropriate for the version of Minecraft you are using from the links above.
Make sure you have Minecraft Forge installed, and you've run Minecraft with it at least once.
Then copy the mod jar file into the mods folder in .minecraft, and run Minecraft.

As for how to actually use the mod, there is a wiki set up on GitHub, which you can find here.
We update it as we release new mod updates, so it should always have the information you need.

Thus marks the end of the page for KalStuff. We really hope you enjoy the mod, and please, give us feedback if you try it!

Bugs and issues can be reported here(I think, at least), but you can also leave them in the comments of this post, although they may not get answered as quickly there. If you have ideas for stuff we could add to the mod, by all means, post them down below, although I would prefer you have tried the mod before asking for us to add stuff to it. If you happen to want to make a mod review, I'll happily post it on this page as long as it is family friendly. Thanks for reading through to the end of this post! Unless you skipped straight to the end here. If that's the case, you missed out on a bunch of nice plain text.

posted a message on Getting arrows back from entities

Maybe the arrows could have a 50% chance of dropping, or something like that. Because I'm sure some of them would get stuck or broken. But for that matter, arrows stuck in blocks should have a chance of breaking too. Good idea though. I've always found it annoying and strange that you couldn't get your arrows back.
