Hi all,
I am having trouble with creating a mod of my own. I have the mod itself figured out, but the textures for the armor set I am creating are not loading. I am pretty sure I have them in the correct directory and that my coding is correct, but obviously I did something wrong as it is not working. The armor is rendering when I put the armor on, what is not working is the icons that are displayed when the armor is seen in the inventory. As far as I know, the armor icons go into the same directory as the icons for the tools, which would be "mcp\src\minecraft\assets\patricksmod\textures\items". The tools that I created display the textures, and they are in the same directory as I put the armor icons into, which means that Eclipse is following the directory. I am at a complete loss here, so any help that I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Ummm... YouTube maybe? You know, I often find that with these issues, using your brain to think helps a little. Try exhausting all of your resources before whining about it on the Forums. And by the way, don't use the Mods forum for help on making mods. The mods section is for posting mods, not whining about how you cannot create one.

Name: Aerion Elindol Age: 23 Gender: Male Class: Soldier, aspiring knight Backstory: Aerion Elindol was born to a rather poor family, and his mother was killed in a night raid on their house when he was 11. The thieves-turned-murderers beat up Elindol and his father, took what little the house had and ran, knocking over a torch in the process. Elindol and his father were left in a burning house, and they were barely able to crawl out in time. They got a safe distance away from the house and turned, watching everything they had ever held dear burn to the ground. Elindol and his father made their way to a nearby town and took whatever work they could get. Elindol has had a deep distrust of society since his mother's death, due to the fact that no one came to help, despite their screams and the fact that their was a town only about 300 yards away. It was at this point that he decided that he wanted to become a knight, so that he could help people in ways that he was not helped. Elindol trained day and night, while still trying to make enough money to support himself and his father. It was a hard life, but he knew it would be worth it when he became a knight. In his spare time, he ingratiated himself with the nearby soldiers and knights, and got to know their routines so that when he enlisted, he was ready. Finally, the day of enlistment came, and that is where the story leaves us. Strengths and Weaknesses: Elindol is very quick and has a lot of stamina and endurance, and he is able to confuse his enemies using this talent. He is often able to wear out his enemies. However, he is not very strong, and his strikes aren't very hard. An enemy with strong strikes and lots of stamina and endurance would be most difficult to for him to beat.

Sometimes, when I am on a server, I start to teleport back, almost 50 blocks back to where I was before. I know that this is lag, or maybe not, and if it isn't, could someone tell me what it is? Also, sometimes, after what I mentioned prior goes on for a bit, I randomly get kicked from the server, and Minecraft says "End of Socket."
What does that mean?

*Eric makes torches and john digs a 3 by 7 hole, with a one whole opening on top.*
John: Hop in.
Eric: Okay, but we better hurry, they're only a couple yards away!
John: I know!
*John and Eric hop in*
John: Light this place up.
Eric: Okay.
*Eric places torches on walls, and John seals up holes. The horde passes safely over top of them, and they wait until morning.
Backstory (Make sure it’s long enough at least 1 decent paragraph): John was born just after people started coming out of their bunkers, and at that time, it was turmoil. There was no order, and no rules. John was separated from his parents, and he was raised by the people of Cerutown. John was able to walk by 2 months old, and talk by 4 months. He excelled at everything except making friends, and this humbled him. He was always made fun of because he was so smart, bust also because he was socially awkward. He learned the meaning of tough living after he left town when he'd finished his academic career. He sold his hunting services to people who had grudges. John is an exceptionally good bounty hunter because of his intelligence, and he prospered because of it.
