I just started a desertworld (1.5.01) and wanted to life there.
But without CactusCraft (which is pretty nais) i wouldnt be able to survive there without running 30 minutes to the next tree.
So i thought it should be possible to survive there.
1.What should be added... Everything from CactusCraft !
Maybe he can add this things to it (he is Tehkrush , right ?).

Tools,Weapons & Armors:
There would be Sandstone,CactusOre (a little bit more down) and Cactus Tools,Weapons & Armors.
Instead of normal Sticks there will be CactusSticks and , for example , there will be instead of Wood Cacti.
The strings are made of Cotton (just a little bit more down).
Sandstone is better then Stone and Cactus is better then Wood.
Plants&Ores:
Cacti will grow a little bit different then normal,ther will be also Cacti that grow at the side of an catcus .(Hard to say)
And there will be a new Plant called Cotton.You get cotton seeds from randomly on sand spawned (but only in desert).
It grows and when its finished growing you can farm it.
You will get one cotton seed and and 1 to 4 cotton.
Cotton can be crafted into Strings (just craft 1 single cotton) and 4 cotton can be craft into Wool.

The CactusOre !
The CactusOre can only found in deserts below 20.
It's as rare as LapisLazuli.
It drops CactusOre when broken and when smelted,you get CactusIngot.
CactusIngots can be crafted into Tool&Armors.
They are as strong as Diamond and a little bit slowier than Gold.
If you wear a CactusIngot crafted Armor and a mob touches you,he will get 0.5 damage.
Food:

Camelthornbread can be made out of 3 camelthornwheat just like the normal bread.
It heals 3 hearts , a half heart more then normal bread.

If you put in Cacti in there and "juice" it,you get cactusjuice !
It heals 5 hearts.
Mobs:
The camel !
It spawn in small groups of 3 and has one more life then a cow.
It drops 1 to 2 leather when killed.
The scorpion !
The scorpion is a quite small mob.
It deals 1 damage.
It drops 1 crunchy scorpion which heals 1 1/2 hearts.
The giantscorpion !
It is 3 Blocks high and 7 Blocks long.
It deals 3 hearts damage.
It is quite rare because it spawn only 1 in 1000 scorpions and only in night.
Weather !
The sandstorm!
"He" only appers in deserts and he deals you and every non-desert mob 0.5 hearts per second.
The "heavy" rain!
It rains even more heavy then normal rain ( :blink.gif: ) and every plant which is outside in the rain, grows 10 times faster.
This is my idea about it.
Please give me some feedback and some ideas.

This is an screenshot of the beach gen that was re-added in Snapshot 12w01a. Please note that this is not representative of the new beaches in general, but instead an example of what the new generation can create!
Jeb appears to have simply changed the blocks which form the transition between land and the ocean biome from dirt to sand. This forms ugly clumps of sand hardly resembling beaches on hilly terrain. This DOES NOT resemble actual beaches or beaches as they once were in Beta 1.7.3! Or reality for that matter.
What should be done to correct this:
Simply limit the max height of sand that can generate to two to three blocks above sea level, which would be identical to beach generation prior to Beta 1.8. With beaches essentially being their own biome, such a change should feasibly be easy since it shouldn't conflict with other biomes. If you believe otherwise, please state so and why!

With the inclusion of the new terrain generation in recent releases, I've read about many major topics and comments having to do with terrible biome transitions involving the swamp biome and the such. However I have not seen any real topics concerning the exclusion of beaches and the issues concerning underwater bedding. So here is the point of this topic:
Summary:
1.) Beaches was a widely-liked feature of the previous terrain generator and it needs to be restored.
This should be simple enough. Just add back beaches into the terrain generator. Also gravel beaches should be returned as well. More on that later in the topic.
2.) Although a less important issue, underwater bedding, lacks the uniformity and overall realism that it used to have. Currently, lakes and oceans are covered in splotchy patches of dirt, sand, and clay.
The main argument against the current underwater bedding generation is that allows for easy access to large amounts of clay, and that clay was supposedly more rare in the previous generator. However, it was abundant, since the x=z clay generator bug that previously plagued the game was patched in 1.7.
However, to further address this issue, clay density and frequency can be increased to satisfy those who believe that more clay truly is necessary.[/indent]
The poor state of these aspects of the terrain generator has proven to be both an annoyance and an eyesore to me and the community as well. Beach gen prior to 1.8 paralleled realistic beaches and was more aesthetically pleasing in general. To further elaborate what I mean:

As you can see, beaches do not actually generate in 1.8 and later, the "beaches" you see are actually not beaches at all; they are simply the outcroppings of the underwater sand bedding crossing onto the shore. This brings me to the next point: underwater bedding.
Underwater bedding (same pic as before, view the underwater portion), prior 1.8
As you can see, in 1.8 and later, underwater bedding consists of ugly patches of circular splotches, whether it be in a lake or an ocean. Previously, it was both aesthetically appealing and realistic. Clay would still be fairly abundant if the patch from 1.7 were also incorporated into clay generation. If that is not enough, we can simply have clay generated in the same manner as depicted in the picture below in higher frequencies or larger quantities:
Lastly, gravel beaches should be added back. It was a realistic feature of the old terrain generator and also broke up the monotony with the constant sand beaches. It is not a necessary feature to be re-added, though it would be nice.

These fossil blocks looks like stone,but harder then stones.

2)Skull/Skull Lantern
These are the skull of ancient minecraft civilization.No matter who they are,now they just remain skulls.
The skulls can put on the ground,put a torch inside and become a scary lantern,or you can change it into bone meals.
3)Analyzer
This machine is use for analyzing bio-fossils or relics.
You may heard about sometimes the scientist finds some live tissue in fossils that contains DNA.That is what analyzer working for.
Also,the analyzer can restore the relics into stoneboard,which may contains some important message form ancient civilization.
It's easy to use.just put some bio-fossil or relics on the left side,and analyzer will put products on the right side automatically
4)cultivate
If you got some DNA from analyzer,you may want to turn them back alive.Cultivate is what you need.
Just put DNA and some bio-fossil into it,and the machine will try to rebuild the cells,using organic items(bio-fossils,ancient eggs,raw pork chops,raw fishes,eggs,slimeballs,milk,Dino-meats,raw chicken soup,raw chicken,raw beef) as material.
It's a complex process,so give some time for it.
If everything's ok,you will get a ancient egg. [color=#ff0000]Be aware!![/color]Sometimes ancient DNA doesn't like what we known.Using cultivate may cause monster outbreak!
5)Archeology workbench
Broken sword is useless.You need some process to make it usable.
Unfortunately, is not decided for this.What you need is an archeology workbench.
With the micro-processor inside the workbench,it reads the information from relics and try to rebuild the ancient equipment,like swords.
Give it enough time and relics,and it will make a usable equipment for you.
6)Ancient Ferns
These ancient plants still living well in modern.
They only can grow under trees,and breed by time passes.
With two sub-species and currently drops nothing.
6)Order Drum
This drum is use for ordering group of Dinos. Right click with anything on hand:Switch order mode(Follow/Free move/Stay) Left Click with stick on hand: Send current order to triceratops within 30 blocks. Left Click with bone on hand: Send current order to velociraptors within 30 blocks. Left Click with arrow on hand: Send current order to pterosaurs within 30 blocks. Left Click with skullstick on hand:[color=#ff0000]Don't do this when adult T-rexes are around.[/color]
7)Feeder
This machine can grind and store foods that Dinos will come for it.
All tamable Dinos use feeders.They can see the feeder within 6 blocks.
It has two silos.One for carnivore,one for herbivore.
You can try put some foods into correct slots,and the machine will grind the foods.

8)Permafrost & Iced-Stones
The permafrost are frozen dirt that was from ice-age.
They are weak,and will melt to normal dirt if they expose to direct sunshine or heat sources.
But unlike the permafrost in real life,the permafrost in this mod have special power that can turn the stones around into iced-stones,which can protected the permafrost.
Iced-stone drops cobblestone,just like normal stones does.
permafrost drops Fern-seed,skulls,frozen-meat,bone and book.Shovel or empty-hands are needed.

bio-fossil means the fossils that may contain live tissues.But you can't see it by eyes.You need analyzer to make sure of it.
Also,you can hold this and right-click on the ground to create a fossil-model.

these scraps were once the antiques of ancient civilization.Now they are nothing more than scrapes.You need analyzer to rebuild it.
3)stoneboard
Stoneboards are paintings of ancient civilization.It contains some legends or prophecy that you may interested with.
4)DNAs
Analyzers can get DNA from bio-fossils or other organics like meats.
DNA can do nothing.But you can send it into cultivate,which may take DNAs back alive again.
5)Ancient eggs
After a long time waiting without outbreak,cultivate has rebuilt the DNAs into live, hatch-able eggs.
Now you can put the eggs on the ground and hatch it into living ancient creatures.
Or,since they are true eggs,you can make them into cakes. Imprinting:To have a tamed baby,you need to stay in a range(about 6 blocks) when the baby is coming out.Otherwise,it will live in wild.
6)Broken Ancient Equipment
Found in fossil,it's from the great war in ancient civilization.
They are useless,and needed to be rebuilt by archeology workbench.
7)Ancient Equipment
After some repair work by archeology workbench,now you got wearable ancient equipment. While not in the peaceful mode,both sword and helmet has supernatural powers.Especially when them has been equipped together.
(Try it at pig,not cows.)
8)Fern seeds
This seed can plant an ancient fern on ground.
You can get some fern seed from analyzer while analyzing bio-fossils. Caution:Triceratops won't eat seeds directly.
9)Skull Stick
This stick is only a decoration.It can't hit,can't throw a fireball.
But if use it to hit the order drum,something may happen.
10)Scarab Gem
These beautiful gems means rebirth.They are sacred of ancient civilization.
11)Scarab Tools
By the advanced forging and inlaying technology by ancient civilization,they are able to inlay Scarab Gems on tools and make them as hard as diamond tools. All you need to do is craft Scarab Gem with any normal tools.
These tools also can be repaired on Archeology workbench.
12)Dino Pedia
Now you can see what dinos are feeling by this book.To use it,hold it on hand then click on the dinos.
13)Raw chicken soup/Cooked chicken soup
So we got raw chicken.Instead roasting it,we can also make it as soup.
Unfortunately,we can't drink it no matter raw or cooked.
14)Essence of Chicken
These delicious liquid are nutritious.You can drink it as tonic,but it won't feed you.
Also,you can try use it on your lovely dinosaurs.But beware with the side-effect of fast-growing.
15)Living Nautilus
Oh!you caught a living fossil!
Now you can cook it,or put it into water (right click on floor)to release it.

A traditional Taiwanese snacks that made by snails.But you make it simply put living nautilus into furnace.It's delicious!
Also,If a Mosasaurus is chasing you,you can drop a Sio-Chiu-Le (I mean,pressing Q) and shift its attention.
17)Empty Shell
Dropped by dead nautilus.It can be used to change a single Plesiosaur's order status.
18)Magic conch
Dropped by dead nautilus.It can be used to order a group of Plesiosaurs.Change the order type by putting it into crafting areas.
19)Dino meats/Dino steaks
Why dinosaurs drop pork?They should drop their meat!
20)Embryo Syringe
These embryos were created from animal-DNAs by cultivate.You can use these to inject embryos into some mammals like , and cows and make them pregnant.
You can use Dino-Pedias(temporary) to monitor the growth inside pregnant animals.
After a while(normally 5 minutes),the baby will be born.
21)Frozen Meat
These are the meat of some unlucky prehistoric animals that was trapped and been frozen alive.
We don't know which animal it was,but analyzers could help.It has 66% to be a DNA,or 33% to be normal meat.
*If You are too hungry,you can put this into furnace to get some steak.
*If you are in danger,you also can use this to hit enemy since it's hard enough.The effect is same as diamond sword,but the meat will break Immediately.
22)Javelins
These javelins have difference material,and only can be found in weapon-shop relics.
They're similar as arrows,but have the ability to penetrate.
Also,you can shoot javelins while mounting something without hurting the mount.
Ancient Javelins can fall a lightning belt on target.

1.You need to satisfy the eggs' needs.For normal dinosaurs(including Plesiosaur since they build nest on land.),you need to keep them warm(I mean,sunlight or light source.);
For aquatic dinosaurs,you have to keep the egg inside water.
2.Eggs need at least 5 minutes to hatch.If the egg has been exposed in bad conditions for a while,if may need more times.
3.If the egg exposed in a bad conditions for too long,it will die and disappear.
4.Make sure you kept some "incubation spaces" for eggs.Since dinosaurs are bigger then eggs.
5.Remember,you can always pick up the egg by right-click on it and make it back to item.This will reset the hatching progress,no matter positive or negitve.

If you were to catch a glimpse of this world you would figure that someone got out of control with TNT and made a giant scar of the whole world. The results look very similar. It’s something even scarier though. Something worse. What you’re looking at is the result of human interaction with limited resources. In a very coordinated experiment 30 players spent 2-5 hours playing in a 350x350 world trapped in bedrock. To keep everything fair the server was only running when everyone was available to play. These screenshots come from 2 months after the experiment started. I would personally like to thank everyone that participated (who wished to stay anonymous). To make things more organized world chat use was discouraged unless you had a global message. Communication was to be minimal and done through third party programs. The limited/restricted communication made groups/clans/guilds possible.
The players were unaware of what I was testing; they went into the server with the following rule: “Never leave the bedrock walls”. Some players realized the challenge at hand immediately, but most were unaware of how devastating the consequences of their actions would be. First resource to go was clay, clay became completely depleted in three days. Brick houses did not last long and in most cases were impossible to complete. The loss of a resource such as clay was a small warning most players missed. In the first week trees became rare. Trees never left the map completely but wood being an essential part of game progression in Minecraft made saplings worth more. This is the point in the game where players banded together into smaller groups with the goal of working together to build stuff. Four large clans emerged. “The Brotherhood”, “The Axe”, “The Dwarves” and the most successful “Merchant’s Guild”. During this time they co-existed peacefully with minor fights over trees and saplings, most did well with their own tree farms. Strip mining began. Resources like iron were abundant and most got wasted into weapons and armor. During this time iron was running out and the only practical use of it was buckets/pickaxes for diamond and doors were plausible due to the need for protection. It should be obvious that Diamonds only use was obsidian which would be a great for protection. Diamonds being extremely rare made them already valuable, but the players being aware that the supply was limited made it a rush to find them as fast as possible. Within 2 weeks production was flying. There was a local Nether Portal which was useful because it supplied an endless resource to build with that had no repercussions upon the map. The portal didn’t make it a week, soon the obsidian was stolen by The Brotherhood and used in there castle. The Merchant’s Guild made a quick profit off of this by having the only optional Nether Portal while resources like diamonds became rarer. The Merchants Guild was efficient and used trade to strive in this harsh world. They would trade netherack/cobblestone/rare ores for usable materials such as saplings/wood/dirt/string/wool/sand/etc.
3 weeks into the expirment flowers were gone forever, sand was deplete making glass rare and hard to replace, and obsidian was un-minable for most players due to a lack of diamond. The players resorted to war to find diamonds. The four clans raided each other bases and griefed each other. This war went on for a few days and The Axe had lost their castle completely. The Brotherhood had to rebuild a very broken town. The Dwarves took minimal damage due to their underground sub-systems and the difficult nature to destroy caves. The Merchant’s Guild took no damage because they won over their fights with complex trade agreements and treaties. At this point The Axe had disbanded. Their members took to their own trying to make it on their own. This left a lot of griefing for trees and trade with the Merchant’s Guild abundant. Only two people were clearly ahead at this point, (aside from the merchant’s guild doing well too). They earned the name (pardon the language), the ****-ass griefers. These two players had immediately realized what would happen to the map on day one and began to construct an easily defendable a base that was self-sufficient and renewable. They built there base on a giant dirt platform in the sky. They made it come off of a mountain so the grass would grow onto it. When the grass had grown onto their base (A few days in), they had already acquired the needed materials for sticky pistons and buckets. They created a water elevator that could be toggled with the pistons and began destroying the mountain. They dug all the earth out from around them and made their base impossible to reach without the use of the water elevator or towering up. From the first week in they began systematically depleting resources in a way that would set the other players behind. Glass windows were broken, trees and saplings were stolen, massive amounts of dirt were farmed (the importance of this will be revealed later) and they used their power to persuade the other players. The Merchant’s Guild paid an anti-griefing tax by supplying the ****-ass griefers with materials that were rare or hard to find. It started with trees/iron/diamond and by the end of the experiment it was things like arrows/flint/string. Four weeks in strip mines had torn open a lot of the land, water was running all over the place (most people lacked buckets) and the most game-breaking element occurred; dirt was being lost. Well not dirt itself in entirety, but the good surface dirt. The dirt with GRASS on it. At this point players forgot about trees and mining but wars over surfaces with grass broke out. The Dwarves even showed interest and tried to create establishments on the surface but had trouble handling holding ground. The Merchant’s Guild had not thought ahead but began gathering as many drops from animals spawned on grass to be traded as rarities in the future. The brotherhood held a small section of grass off from griefers the most successfully. The ****-ass griefers had no trouble with this because there base was situated upon a giant floating chuck of grass, so they made it their mission to destroy all grass on the map and reserve the power of food to themselves only. The Brotherhood held their small piece of grass but were defending constantly and as a result their base became very broken and they rebuilt in a way to defend the dirt only.
Five weeks into the experiment a lot of players had lost the will to play. Most players resorted to staying underground and endless 2x1 tunnels were formed, giant chasms were found by players overmining and ultimately a large majority of cobblestone was lost through lava and the players fighting each other. Due to massive mining to and strip mines the corner of the map supporting the ****-ass griefers base sunk farther and farther down to the bedrock, leaving a noticeable drop in elevation between the two corners of the map. Buildings made out of dirt started showing up on the torn earth because most players lacked the resources to make pickaxes and couldn’t meet the prices of the Merchant’s Guild. These buildings were built with the only purpose of protection from monsters at night since the map became un-survivable during the night. At this point the large loss of land in the bottom half the map did one purpose. Eliminate the dwarves who were housed there. (I still can’t believe the amount of stone removed and lost in that area, It’s a devastating amount and continued until the 2 months were up). At this point a cycle was emerged, the players were fighting for the last bit of grass on the map (disregarding the griefers base that was inaccessible). But most of them were either trying to mine cobblestone for more trade with the Merchant’s Guild for sticks for more pickaxes or trying to survive the night in dirt houses. It was a vicious cycle that was barely profitable. But a pattern did emerge. The players were effectively working together to survive the night. While there was still rampant war and grief the players that had little had banded together to try to survive the harsh environment.
The experiment was up before more testing could be done, but I ask you. If the walls were torn down one day and the players were free to the unlimited resources of Minecraft how would they react? Do you think they would work together and try to keep all the resources balanced or would they play the same way without regard for their environment or each other? Though in Minecrafts infinite world it would be impossible to destroy everything, do you think the disaster would slowly re-occur? I think this experiment has been a successful statement on the human condition and human interaction with the environment.

Once upon a time Babs the Aerbunny was taking a little stroll across the Island where he lived. It was a very large and nice island. Even though at night all the mean monsters would come out and harass anything that they could. Still Babs loved his home, but he wondered if there was anything more to it.
Each night before he went to bed, he would think about all the legends he had heard of. From the fierce Sun God, whose wraith could stop the sun in its tracks. To the Solemn Cube, who lives underground in tunnels that are guarded by strange blocks. Even the heavenly Valkyrie left him in awe. But his favorite legend was that of a mysterious traveler, with the ability to travel to a world below their own.
But everyone in the Aether knew that there was no "World under their own" Many have left the Aether, floated down on clouds made into cloth. But none have ever returned. Still Babs believed the legends! For unbeknownst to him, the day where his world would be turned on its head was soon to arise.
Let us now turn our attentions from the mystical Aether, and return to Minecraftia for a time. Down on a little island in the middle of the ocean, Steve awoke early in the morning; he tended to his animals and his crops. Once done his morning routine, Steve stopped, for instead of mining, like he usually did, he had other plans. Steve had found a strange piece of paper one day. On it was a riddle.
In order to get to the sea of the sky,
One must journey through the pits of lava.
In order to find the stone of light,
Of which was place by fallen Valkyries.
The stones must be placed in the order of the way to hell.
Only then with pure water may the gateway open.
Steve wondered over the riddle for a while. He had no idea what a "sea of the sky" was, but he wanted to find out. So, being done with his chores, he went inside to his study. He went though many books, but none even mentioned a "Sea of the sky", until he found and old decrepit book under the bookcase. It was very dusty, and when he went to blow it off dust flew everywhere! But for a split second, Steve thought he saw an island with no water around it.
Awed at the sight, he looked again at the cover. And do you all know what that book read? The title of the book said "Aether" Aether? Wondered Steve, interested by the book, he set it on the table and when he opened the book, He found the same riddle that he had found on the ground the day earlier. "The Aether! The Sea of the sky must be the Aether" shouted Steve. Impressed with himself, he read on. And saw pictures of Strange fluffy rabbit looking things, and cows with golden wings!
With a new vigor, Steve took to deciphering the riddle! "Journey to the pits of lava" Easy thought Steve that must be the Nether! "Find the stones of light" “Glowstone!” Thought Steve, "I have some in my storage!" "The stones must be placed in the order of the way to hell." But what did the riddle mean by this? Thought Steve. Suddenly it hit him!
"The portal, it meant put the Glowstone in the same order as the obsidian!" excited by his new discovery he ran to his storage. Checking where he keeps his stranger blocks, he found 12 Glowstone. "Hmm" Thought Steve, "I don't have enough for a full portal." "Maybe i can cheat it and exclude the corners? Then i only need 10" thought Steve. Walking back into his study he checked the book. "Darn" thought Steve "I will need the 2 extra Glowstone" Walking down into his basement he went to his nether portal. But now we visit Babs.
Babs has been busy himself too, along with Steve he has gone to all the older Aerbunnies and asked about "The world below our own" They mocked and laughed at him for being a fool, that no such thing could ever exist. But Babs would not be deterred. He was hopping home when suddenly there was a large flash of light!
Steve turned away, blinded by the glowstone, He had not expected to find it so soon, but none the less. He got the last 2 blocks that he needed then returned home. Back in his house in Minecraftia, he gathered up the Glowstone, and went outside. He then built a portal out of glowstone, but Steve in his rush forgot the last part the riddle. "Only then with pure water may the gateway open." was the last line, but Steve held in his hand not a bucket of water but his trusted Flint and Steel. Now you have to give him a bit of credit for Steve was out there for the better part of the day, trying to light a portal of glowstone.
Finally infuriated enough to give up, He stormed back inside to his study to rip the riddle apart for being nothing but garbage, When he saw it. "Only then with pure water may the gateway open." "Water" Said Steve, "Water" saying it again, as if it was a foreign word in his mouth. He grabbed his bucket with which he milked the cows, ran down the beach, rinsed it out a bit, and then filled it up again. "Pure water" thought Steve, "What more pure then water taken directly from the oceans?" He said out of breath from the run.
He walked up to the portal and threw the water at the portal! But the water didn't just keep going through like Steve thought, It stopped in the middle of the portal and slowly spread to encompass the entire inner portal. Then all of a sudden Steve was staring at a glowstone portal with water filling the inside. Tentatively, Steve approached the portal.
He stuck out his hand, and felt the cool water move aside and wrap around his hand like a perfect fitting glove. Shocked by the feeling he pulled back his hand. Then slowly he stepped into the portal, and once it has encased him completely, something changed. The portal was dissolving him!! But... it didn't hurt, and for some reason he was completely calm. It was nearly done, he could see right through his own hand! But suddenly his vision got blurry! Instead of his home he was looking at some strange blue-green grass. And there was one the fluffy rabbit he had seen in the book.
Babs, after seeing what had blinded him, stared, stunned. One second he was walking home, the next, the thing appeared, with some creature in it! The creature!!
Babs dove off the side to try hiding! The creature stumbled out of the light-thing, he looked around, it’s like he had never seen the Aether before. "What in the name of notch did I get myself into" Said Steve staring around at what looking like giant floating islands of land.
Remembering the rabbit-thing Steve set off in that direction. Though, something felt odd. His armor! His armor felt light as a feather! Whatever this place was, it had quite a lot less gravity thought Steve. Enlighten by the thought, Steve dove forward expecting to soar off. He came right back down to the ground the as if he where home. "Herobrine be cursed!" swore Steve. But when he got back up he saw his diamond armor that took him weeks to make, lying on the ground, in a jigsaw amount of pieces. "WHAT IN THE NAME OF NOTCH!" shouted Steve in a fit of rage. He then took his diamond pickaxe over to a bit of exposed of some strange light grey stone, and hit it as hard as he could. It was if he had wooden tools all over again!
Steve sat on the ground and leaned against the stone. "What is this place!!" said Steve in awe. "This is the Aether young one" said a voice above. Shocked by the sudden voice Steve jumped up, unsheathing his sword and looking up. But what he saw, left him stunned. He saw what looked like an angel! It had the body of a human, but wings like an angel. "That thing will do you no good" It said gesturing at the sword. Steve, Hearing that griped it tighter and shouted "How would you know angel!" The angel chuckled, "I am no angel my dear" Then in the blink of an eye she was in front of him, then like an Enderman she was back to her original position. But she had his sword! Steve looked down and he was holding nothing but air!
Then slumping to his knees Steve just looked at her, and crooked out "What are you?” "I am a Valkyrie!" said the thing. "And my name is Svipul". "It means Changeable in our language." said the Valkyrie. Trying and failing many times to pronounce the ancient name, Steve said "I can’t possibly say that, how about just Swift?” "Swift?" said the Valkyrie, as if testing the name. "Very well, you may call me swift" said Swift, and with that Steve fell to his back let his body go limp. Swift floated down to his side "Are you ok traveler?", "Steve" Said Steve, "are you alright Steve?" Asked Swift, "Just gimmie a bit" said Steve sitting up. "What is this place?" Asked Steve, "This is the Aether of course" Swift said, as if it was common knowledge. "Where are you from?" asked Swift "Minecraftia" Said Steve "Where is that?" asked Swift, with a questioning gaze. "Uh…Well… I guess through there" said Steve pointing at the portal. "What is that i have never seen such a thing" exclaimed Swift.
"Come on then" Said Steve grabbing her hand, "I'll show you". Then Steve was on his back with a shiny pink spear aimed around his throat. "You will not touch me" Said Swift with an acid look. "Right, gotcha" said Steve wondering if he was going to die at the hands of a strange creature and pink Spear. Slowly Steve got up, made his way to the portal, Swift following with her spear leveled at his chest.
Babs ran up to the goddess who was walking the creature back to the light. He told her what he saw and she looked on with interest.
Swift looked down to see the Aerbunny bounce over to her "what is it little one?" she said kneeling down. Steve turned to see what had made the Valkyrie act so caring, and saw the little fluffy ball that ran off when he first got there. "Is that so said" said Swift as she gave Steve a Sideways glance. "What" said Steve? "This little guy says you came out a burst of light like a god" said Swift. The fluff-ball just stared. "uhh well i guess you could say that" Said Steve. "What does that mean" Asked Swift. "Well watch this" Said Steve, as he walk into the portal and dissolved.
"What is this!!" said Swift in alarm. Then suddenly the surface of the portal glowed and suddenly, Steve was standing in it, like nothing happened. Swift recovered from her shock quickly "What is that and how does it work?!" asked Swift sternly. "It’s a portal and i have no idea" said Steve stepping out of the portal. "Here you try" said Steve gesturing towards the portal. Carefully Swift stepped into the portal felt her body dissolve, but yet was completely calm, just like her counterpart. Then she was at some house of sorts with enormous amounts of water all around her. Just as she stepped out of the portal, there was a flash of light behind her. And there stood Steve with a big goofy smile on his face.
And for the better part of their time in Minecraftia Steve spent his time showing Swift his world. Once they were done the two returned through the portal to the Aether.
Suddenly Swift turned her head in a direction "What’s up?" asked Steve
"I must leave, NOW." And in the blink of an eye she was gone. Steve stood there a bit stunned then recovered. "Right then!" said Steve with renewed vigor and enthusiasm; he set off to explore this new world. Then proceeded to walk through the portal and off the island.
But as he fell he fell right through a cloud. But he felt this cloud was oddly solid, so as fast as he could he collected as much of the cloud as he could. And for some reason the cloud slowed his fall, but then he saw something very strange. Was it? No it couldn't be! It was! He was floating down a bit from his house,
With a splash he landed in the water not far from his house, but the cloud was gone. After he had swum back to land he headed inside for some new clothe. After that was done, he went back through the portal only to see the little fluff-ball waiting for him. With a great leap, it jumped up on his head and settled down. Steve stepped out of the portal and stood there confused. Steve saw no harm in having the little guy around so he figured, "what’s the worse that could happen." Babs knew that his one chance to have an adventure in his boring home was with the strange creature, so he hopped on top of it and claimed the creature.
And with that the new Duo set off for the new adventure that would spread like wild fire.
Ever missed those gravel beaches and those awesome overhangs? How about the old skylands that the End overtook? Now you can (sorta) have them back!
You can now have more world types; 1.7.3 gen (which has 1.0 biomes), the old skylands, giant caves, and biome specific worlds!

One of the many future creatures is a brand new Aether mob.
I am in need of experienced coders so the actual mod could work.
Jeb has already said that picking up ice with Silk Touch wasn't a glitch. It was an intended feature. However, he removed it because when you broke the ice with Silk Touch, it left water behind even though you took the Ice. He want's to code it to where nothing is left behind in the ices place once you take it. Once he figures that out, you'll get it back.

I just started a desertworld (1.5.01) and wanted to life there.
But without CactusCraft (which is pretty nais) i wouldnt be able to survive there without running 30 minutes to the next tree.
So i thought it should be possible to survive there.
